I am new to HTML. I just started yesterday and found it to be useful so far. I am in the process of setting up a website so I searched for a template to use, but it wasn't complete. I think everything is in place except for the 5 page link buttons on the side. Currently they all link to the same site, but I can fix that myself. I need to put text over the image while still allowing the button to be clicked, but I don't know how. I put an image of what I want inside the attached zip file. Thanks in advance. Thanks, Lorne Hello all, I am looking to see if there is a simple way to provide a print button for static Text and/or images within a simple table. The content will not change, so I want to see if I can provide a programmed print button for the content within each table. The application is a FAQ page of a website. Currently, the page is long and printing a particular FAQ item is not possible. Expecting the viewers to be web-savvy enough to know how to print selected text is out of the question, as well as providing them this tip in writing. There needs to be a print button. I found this: http://download.oracle.com/javase/tu...rinttable.html but since I am not familiar with coding much beyond basic html I am not sure if this applies or how to implement the code examples in a webpage. I use Dreamweaver MX '04 to edit page html. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Hi all, I would like to ask for your help here. How can I first have a few radio buttons on my page and when the user select one of those, a text box with a submit button will appear. The text box is for the user to key in some kind of code/password so that it will prompt the user to a url according to the code/password. Example: Code: YAH URL: www.yahoo.com Code: GOO URL: www.google.com And if the user keys the wrong code it will prompt a message box asking them to try again. If the user key the code wrongly for 3 times it will prompt to another url. Ive also attach an example of how it should look like. I would appreciate for your help. The html and css I'm using is below. I've tried wrapping spans around the value and altering the padding (which looks better but makes the onclick outline appear half-way up the button). Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Steve The html is Code: print("<input class='mybtn' SIZE='5' type='submit' name='storedatabase' value='Store Database'>"); The CSS is Code: .mybtn { width: 120px; height: 21px; border-style: outset; border-color: red; font-size: 12px; color: #000000; background-color: rgb(250, 240, 230); border: 1px 1px 1px 1px; outline: 10px; text-align: center; } Hey guys, im completely new to web development, as in, i've literally never tried it before so im hoping you guys can help me I have a local HTML and, basically, it has 2 text boxes and one button. now the button currently takes you to another page, but i want that button to copy the text from the second text box to my clipboard, so i can paste it into another document i have adobe dreamweaver cs5 but im willing to pick up any other software i might need to pull this off all help appreciated! I have a web page that I had to convert from a .psd file to an html and I'm not able to center a submit button and the text field next to it. I've tried various alignments but I'm also limited by what I can do because when you convert from .psd to html the entire page is one form. I don't have an external link but I'm able to provide html if necessary. Can someone please take a look at my code and offer some suggestions? Thank you Doug Ok, basically here is the run down of what I am looking for this script to do. Code: http://www.thisisjustanexamplesite.com/stats=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (X's representing numbers) All I want is the webpage to just show a text field and a submit button. So when the user puts in the numbers in the text field and hits submit, it automatically will put the numbers he put into the text field on the end of that link mentioned above and then take them there. I'm thinking it should just be simple HTML but possbily PHP maybe, not sure. Any help would be appreciated! I am creating a website that has a search button with an image. I would like to know if there is some simple code that I can include that would display the same basic image with a different color when the user mouses over the button. Here is the code: <FORM name="searchform" onSubmit="return validateSearch();" METHOD="POST" ACTION="search_results_lt.asp"> <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="Search" VALUE="" SIZE="20" > <INPUT TYPE=IMAGE SRC="images/search_button.gif" Name="SearchButton" Value="Submit"> </FORM> **** Thanks for your help, Robin Can you please help me? I am making a website in MS SharePonit designer 2007. The site will be in 2 languages, Croatian and English. On the home page of the site I have put two radio buttons to give the choice to go to English version or Croatian version. And below those 2 radio buttons i want to put a button with text "ENTER SITE". But I don't know how to do this: If the Croatian radio button is checked, a click on the "ENTER SITE" must take you to the Croatian version of the site, and if English radio button is checked, click on "ENTER SITE" must take you to the English version. Can you please tell me how to do that? here is the (ineffective) code currently: <img style="float: left; width: 169px; height: 73px;" src="img/logo1.png" alt="" /> <h1 style="text-align: center;">random text</h1> the image shifts the left margin such that the text is centered as though the page width was 169px less than it really is. i'm not debating the code itself; the code above behaves as its meant to. aka no surprises. i just cant figure out the appropriate code to center the text across the entire real width of the page as though there was no image. i've tried div tags & all the things google hunting advised. no luck. other than finding this forum, which seems like it'll be a boon! thanx in advance for advise/comments/feedback/help. Hi All, I am new to this forum and is expecting an answer for this question. I have implemented a facebook type search to the database which displays the familiar text saved in the database when I type some text in the database. My issue is after I have used the search box for a couple of time the text box starts displaying a similar dropdown from its history which hides my database search. Does anyone know how to disable it using html or css. See the attached Image if my question is not clear. http://www.htmlforums.com/attachment...1&d=1306715905 I have several websites that I maintain and update. A lot of them are just textual changes and I would think my customers can do these themselves by editing a simple .txt file. I was hoping my choices are avalable so that I can just insert this tag into my web pages and then give them login info to their edit page or show them how to upload the .txt file. I hope this is an easy one with several answers. Is it possible these tags could discipline your rankings in the search engines? Thanks, Jason How do I Link text in a div, h1, h2, p to an external text file or xml file - I don't really know how to ask the question. I think I need an xml file that can be easily edited by a user saved to the server to update an xhtml page text without the user getting bogged down in html. I don't want to use joomla or cms. <Any ideas />? Best wishes, mas Hi Can any one help. I have this form the user is ask to input a message and a number.
