HTML - Problem In Cpanel With Html Codes

I was just wondering, is there such thing a a forum in HTML? We all know that you can get things such as HTML codes for chat rooms, etc, so If thats possible, I was just wondering if you could get a code which you can put on your website to have a forum. Doesnt have to make accounts or sign in or anything. If you know anything, please post! Thanks!

I was wondering of anyone knows how to find out the html colour code of text from a particular website. For example if I see text on a site and I like the colour, I want to be able to find out how to match that colour with a html code.

which gives this HTML for a scroll box:

The code gives a scroll box alright but I am looking for a scroll box to put codes and for visitors to click inside the scroll box, press ctrl+A to highlight all the codes inside the scroll box. But when I click inside the box, the whole page get highlighted instead.

Is it possible to surround the scroll box HTML with for example something like <p></p> and for the effect above?

I will be following up with another script for scroll box which I got from viewing page source.

can i get some codes/javascripts helps on when you mouseover the link or the image ( or click on it ) then it provides you the html codes in different window, small overlibs, or something else that youre be able to select all and copy and paste the html codes from there to your pages or whatever.

ive been researching on this too much and still, no luck. or is it just me? cuz that kind of codes is not available? but any kind of codes that is a little related to what im looking for can help too!

In the past, I use to use a 'Random Banner' cgi script. I was doing this to insert HTML in various pages on my site. Now I would only insert ONE set of html codes. Reason being, is that I wasn't looking to rotate banners, ....I was merely looking for the ability to update/change/insert codes in one location, and have it update every relative page. Thus sparing me from updating every page individually.

I know this technique must me a dinosaur. Is there a script, or a type of script I should be researching that would allow me to enter HTML codes, and then have those codes instantly inserted/update all related webpages.

Even in this most simple state; are they HTML codes that can call/insert other HTML codes from a remote file (such as a .txt)?? Thank you for you help and wisdom!

I'm a layout maker for xanga, and I'm having a little trouble with html. I made a layout, but I have no clue how to post it so people can use it. I want it in a scroll box, but when I post that in an html entry, the layout becomes one with the entry! I need help on finding a code that will allow me to post html into a scroll box.

ok im messing around with cpanel (just got hosting from inmotionhosting.com)
and i downloaded a layout and im uploading the index.html, images, and the css file to cpanel but when i go to view the page, the pictures dont show. what am i doing wrong?

Hi, i am restarting a site. I have the old HTML in text docs that I saved. I am using Cpanel.

The home (index.html) page worked fine. But, from there I am trying to add another page (about_us). So what I am doing is creating a new file, and naming it about_us.html. Then I edit the file and paste in the code.

But when trying to view the page as site.com/about_us it doesnt show up. But if I type site.com/about_us.html it does show up.

The new file is displayed right above the index page in the file manager and all...

I don't want our visitors to have to type ".html" at the end, they won't be likely to remember to anyway. I have no idea why it's doing this because I don't remember doing it before. The navigation bar I used previously used to work but now the links in it don't work because they dont have ".html" at the end of the link. (ex.<a href="http://www.site.com/about_us">About us</a>).

I am a beginner of HTML programming. I just got a job in a small company, and they need me to correct error form the existing website. I finished my work on my own computer; however, I am struggling at how to post my work on Cpanel so that it is actually modified online.

Now then...

I host with Aventure who use cPanel.

I have created a passworded directory and have a number of users set up with usernames and passwords.. which is all very nice, but I can not find a way of adding Username and Password fields to a web page as oposed to clicking on a link which then brings up a seperate box to fill in (see www.strictly-smokin.co.uk).

Any clues?

I'd just like two fields for users to input their details without that box appearing...

hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to post.

my company has existing websites, and I come to fix the errors.(I don't know the status about those website on Cpanel) After I did some change on File Manager, but the web site stay the same no matter how I do the code ( even delete all codes)....

anyone know why that happen? Do I need to refresh or something? Any things I need to check on Cpanel for the settings???

My html problem keeps failling, with all my image codes.. shown for 10 errors which are all for the images what's wrong? Here is the code:

hello to everyone.

I am at the first steps into webdesign, www.diivino.com is my website which I made just playing around whith DW and flash.
A week ago I had a validation check and I found plenty of errors, so far I have around 50 of them still.
I don't know if this is the cause of poor traffic,then I tried to fix them myself but I must have done a huge mistake because from a nice colourful website it turned into a whiteone.

could u please take a look at it and help me out?
