HTML - Html Link Question

How would I go about making one link open three windows/urls? I'm trying to make things easy at work and there are times when if I click a link that generated the three pages I need I would be golden, any tips?

I have a client that I just built a website for. This website is viewed by many different people. The client is wondering if it is possible to have a link somewhere on the site that automatically downloads an image icon to the users desktop. Once this icon is in place on the users desktop, they can click that icon when they want to go back to the web site.

He also stated he'd like an app button created for mobile devices. I think he's thinking these icons are one in the same. But from what little I know about creating an app, you need to know the Objective C language and the only way someone can get it is through an app store.

He wants both windows and Mac users to be able to use this.

Is this possible, or how should I go about approaching this another way to achieve the same thing? Thanks for any help or direction.

I have one question

I have one index page <index.html> with iframe it displays: info.html, contact.html, and main.html it default src="main.html"

if I creat a link from the other page eg. <hot.html>

from <hot.html> I want to make a link just a single click it will go to <index.html> but in the iframe displays <info.html> instead of <main.html>

how the codes should be like?

I would like to add a link to my page that will call the current page that I am on...I need the call to not not only preseves the current params that were present in the initial call, but I would also like to add one addtional param. Is this possible?

Example:

Page call: index.html?view=all

Wiithin the index.html file I want to add an <a href=""> tag that when clicked it will add an additional parameter "music=off"

So the link would be: index.html?view=all&music=off

I'm a MAC new user.

I start study HTML + CSS

I make two file one for .HTML and the other for .CSS

when I try to link css in html I con't I don't know why.

this is the code line:
<link href="css/main.css" rel="stlyesheet" type="text/css" />

and this is my file path:
/Users/Sameer/Exercise/Website/header/css/main.css

when I run the HTML it can't recognize the CSS file and it can't launch it.

Can you please help me to link both file?

Note: both file in the same folder named Exercise

I'm kinda new to HTML/CSS. I am making a website in Dreamweaver 8. I'm having trouble doing something, and I don't even know if it is possible. I made a page using CSS and DIV tags to define each pane. Now the center (main) pane will show whatever page you want to display (ie. Home, Media, Contact, etc.). I made each page as a separate HTML file (ie. Home.html, Contact.html, Media.html, etc.), is there a way to link each of these pages to the main pane (div tag) so I can keep all other panes unchanged (menus, banner, etc.) and just display the content in the mentioned center pane? I am using Dreamweaver to design a web site. I have created a music link

In Browser when I click this link it opens window Media player and starts to play the mp3 file but my main web page is replaced with blank page and i can not understand why the main page is replaced with blank page.

I have a form where people submit information to a site through a form; some people reference outside websites, but the links for them aren't clickable (no <a href... tag), just text so people would have to copy and paste it to use it. Is it possible to somehow check a submission for links and then add in the <a> tags if there are any? (without having to manually do it each time).

Sorry to ask for help on my first visit.
Is there any way to link drop down lists to each other using html?
For example, the first drop down list would have states/counties.
Once they select one, on the second drop down list it automatically generates all the towns in that county/state.

I am having trouble with the following site here and the weather image at the bottom not being to the correct size. The image is hotlinked from another site, and I do have permission to do this! The image is automatically generated by scripts on that sites server every 5 minutes with new weather information.

As my image has to always be a certain size and I suspect the original image located on the other website changes it's size as the weather updates, I clearly have a problem with pixel ratio's and an often unclear image...

Thus, I would much rather scrap using the image and simply have the raw-text in this image on my site. If you look at the source for the site here, there is this piece of code:

Now, the details above (last reading, temperature, etc) obviously change every 5 minutes too. How can I link a page on my website to these above changing details on another website and then format the text to my styles and use only the text which I need (around half of what is above?

I hope I have made my dillema clear .

I am in good contact with that sites webmaster therefore once I find a good method for doing this I will of course ask the webmaster for his permission again .

At present i am creating a knowledge base at work and have an admin access link that goes to a folder on a server.

What i want is client or server side html to request a password when this link is clicked and if the password is not correct then a message box shows that says the password is incorrect.

Can anyone help?
