HTML - Div Refresh Using Ajax

Hello guys, first time posted, long time watcher!

Really wanted a little bit of advice on something i'm trying to do at work.

We use a web based helpdesk system to log our technical support calls, but it kicks us out every 10 mins if we leave our desk for something and have to go through the long process of logging in again. I was woundering if i created a frame set in another window and kept refresh the home base of the helpdesk system every say 1 min it would keep the connection up. Is this possible?

Does anyone know of a way to make webpages instantly refresh themselves when they are viewed. I'm changing content daily and having bother with people not being able to see all the new stuff as they are loading yesterday's page from their cache.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first time posting here and was needing some help regarding auto refresh in html. I have a web page on our local network for my work that uploads screen shots of security cameras around the different locations. I have the page set to auto refresh and when it does refresh to redirect to another page that has a different set of cameras on it. The redirect works but the problem is after leaving this page up and running for several hours it will get stuck after a redirect and will keep trying to load the page for hours and wont redirect. It usually gets stuck on grabbing one of the images of the cameras, and then has problems displaying the image which then causes the page to sit and try to load for hours with no redirect. I was just wondering if there is anything that i can do for this? I am new to html and dont know much so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm working on an HTML page that is going to be an iFrame on another page. The innerHTML of the iFrame page is set to automatically refresh every 20 seconds. The problem is that when that page refreshes, it "flashes" a white background for about 2 seconds before loading the background and content. How can I prevent that from happening every time it refreshes?

I want to refresh the page after clicking submit button with interval of 10 seconds. How can I do that?

My IE is configured to automatically find the most rexent page, so when I address a website I see the current page. However, Safari and Firefox do not seem to have this optiion. So, when users address my website with those browsers they have to push the refresh button to be sure they are seeing my site's latest page. Yet when I use those browsers to access websites other than my own, I seem to get the latest page.

This suggests that there may be a way to include in a page file a code that forces refresh. I know that there is a code ("no archive") that does the job where a search engine is involved, but how do I handle this problems where my URL is being directly addressed?

I am new to this forum and an internet newbie. I need help from someone familiar with both html and clickbank. Those of you familiar with Clickbank no that this is an affiliate marketplace for marketers who place their products and have affiliates market their products.

I have signed up as an affiliate at Clickbank and obtained my hoplink for a particular product. Here is what I am trying to accomplish. As an affiliate I am going to be marketing various products at clickbank and instead of just referring my customers directly to the merchants sales page, I want to first capture their information with my own squeeze page, after I capture their names and email addresses and they click the submit button I have that link going to a thank you page, on this thank you page I am trying to redirect them directly to the sales page after collecting their info. It is here I am having the problems. I can redirect them ok but I am not able to redirect them and put in my hoplink so that I am the one that gets paid from my customers should they order from the sales page.

Here is the html code I am using: <Meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="10;

then in order to get paid my hoplink needs to be in there somewhere so I just addes it to the end of the redirect code above as follows:

I tried two way just reversing the order which I type the hop link first and the redirect first. Putting the redirect first makes the redirect work but I can't get my hoplink to work with the redirect code.

Hi everybody...

I'm trying to create a simple html page, with these functionalities...
- the page is divided into 2 parts (10%, 90%) horizontally
- in the top there is a field to write an URL, and an OK button, to load the url to the bottom part
- after that the program searches for a string. if the string is on the webpage, sends an emailt to a specified email address, if the string isn't on the loaded page, after a while (5 minutes) reloades the bottom part (the url in the top part), and searches for the string again...

Does somebody have an idea, how to start? Please help me, I'm not a great html coder, I need some instructions...

is there any way that you can refresh one image on an html web page without haveing to refresh the whole page?

I just started an online radio, with stats, but my problem, i want only the stats to reset, not the whole site, cause everytime the whole site refreshes, the radio refreshes to.

Okay guys, here's the situation.

Basically, everything looks as it should within FireFox on my page, however IE brings me weird troubles.

Upon loading the page at first in IE, it usually has some stranger extra space around the border, you'll see what I mean when I link it up. However, upon a refresh it looks as it should. What changes in a refresh on IE?

So I temporarily just set the java popup window to be immediate, which auto-refreshes the page thus making look as it should. I don't know if this method fixes the look for everybody though.

i am a new with HTML.

i am need to create a html page which gets refresh periodically so i did this...

It works fine , but when it gets refresh on IE or on mobile browserat the time of refersh page goes blank .. i just want to refersh image with out going it blank ..
i mean it should display previous image till it gets next one and yes not looking for java or any other script.. can it be possible .. i want it in plain HTML script please help thanks in advance

Okay, so heres my problem,
i am creating a page for a touch screen based intranet at Coca Cola in Australia.
the homepage will be the main page, other links will only be viewed for short amounts of time.

is there anyway to make it so, if there is no activity for an amount of time (say 5 minutes) the page will refresh to the homepage ?
