HTML - Please Help On How To Obtain Full Screen Pictures
Hi all friends, I am a photographer and I am trying to set up my website with a full screen gallery. The address is: http://provasitofoto.altervista.org
If you go to the portfolio section and click on the any thumbnail you will see the chosen image go to full screen which is actually what I would love to have but....as you will probably notice, you will see only a part of the image, even if it is full screen it is "cutted". Now of course what I need is the possibility to view the entire image full screen, even stretched but with the ability to fit in any screen and browser. I am new to this kind of things znd so here I am asking for your help. Please consider me like a 5 years old baby and so explain to me step by step what I should do to solve this problem. Thanks in advance to any kind soul who are will to help me. God bless you. Marco from Italy Similar TutorialsThis splash page is supposed to take you to my website in "full-screen" ,but the pop-up keeps coming back as an error.. I know it's something simple, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong..can someone look at my code and let me know what is wrong? it's here - http://www.practiceboard.com/?4898323 Thanks!! Heather Hi all I only know very basic HTML and at the moment. I have an image that is hosted on Buzztouch. http://www.buzztouch.com/application...elfordboat.jpg Now my Question What code would I need to write so when you click on a page the image appears full screen no mater what brower you use it on. ? thanks I need to display an image (size 1024x768) in IE explorer so when i hit f11 (kiosk mode) its full screen. Then I need that image to refresh every X seconds with out flickering on the screen. The file is a bmp and is about 5mb and only will be changed a few times a day by a program I wrote in Vb.net. It will write over the existing file so the webpage would pick up the changes when it refreshes. Codes I'v tried already: Code: <html> <head> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="-1"> <META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="10;URL="meta.htm";"transition"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <title>New Page 1</title> <style type="text/css"> html, body {margin:0; padding:0; width:100%; height:100%; overflow:hidden;} body {font-family:verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size:76%;} #background{position:absolute; z-index:1; width:100%; height:100%;} #scroller {position:absolute; width:100%; height:100%; top:0; left:0; overflow:auto; z-index:2;} #content {padding:5px 300px 20px 200px;} p {line-height:1.8em; letter-spacing:0.1em; text-align:justify;} </style> </head> <body> <div> <img id="background" src="View.bmp" alt="" style="position: absolute; left: 0; top: 0" width="90%" height="90%" /> </div> </body> </html> and Code: <IMG src="OR View.bmp" name="refresh" Padding="0" Width="1024" Height="768" Scrolling="0"> <SCRIPT language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> <!-- var t = 120 // interval in seconds image = "OR View.bmp" //name of the image function Start() { tmp = new Date(); tmp = "?"+tmp.getTime() document.images["refresh"].src = image+tmp setTimeout("Start()", t*1000) } Start(); // --> </SCRIPT> However the first one flickers and the 2nd doesnt display in full screen. Any information or even pointing me in the right direction would help. I know almost nothing about java and html =x Hi board members I trust I have posted in the correct forum... I've just coded an excel speadsheet for all my videos. I have created hyperlinks to each file. I'm wondering if there is a switch to add to the end of the hyperlink to force the media player the open in full screen? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Mal I am not sure where to put this question. I have noticed that some webpages have graphics to make it look like a piece of paper stuck on the wall (and there is a certain amount of blank space left and right - see http://www.infinetwebsolutions.com/) while some webpages occupy the whole screen - see http://www.speakteen.com/. Can someone tell me if there are technical advantages/reasons for doing this? I have been reading webpages and blog pages for dozens of hours and am starting to feel that blogs all look alike. Part of the reason is that almost all of them have the "cut page" look rather than the full page look. Is there an artistic reason to do this? some advantage? I really like nice cut and dried technical stuff but I am more likely to be considered autistic than artistic Dear colleagues, I'm new in Web design and I don't know all HTML reference. I need one HTML statement to include into a page code, that allow to obtain the file name (like "pagename.html") of the page I load into the browser. This value of "pagename.html" I will use to load in a variable. For example: When I load "home.html", I need that this page have a HTML statement that detect its own filename "home.html". Once detected, I will use this value in a variable. I hope I'm explaining clearly. Thank you for your help! GusSiglo21 I placed all my adsense ads into iFrames but when I resize the window small all the ads are pushed to the middle of the screen. How can I make them stay put. I tried working with divs too but it makes the ads the highest layer and it makes an invisible border stretching across the screen and I cant click anything thats in that border range. heres some of my code: <html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style2.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> </head> <center> <head> <title>BIO</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> </head> </tr> </table> <!-- End ImageReady Slices --> <iframe src="/adsense.htm" width="120px" height="600px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:1173;bottom:865" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe src="/adsense2.htm" width="120px" height="600px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:-92;bottom:865" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe src="/adsense3.htm" width="728px" height="90px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:50;bottom:518" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe src="/adsense4.htm" width="336px" height="280px" frameborder="0" style="position:relative;Left:195;bottom:1560" marginwidth ="0px" marginheight="0px" scrolling="no"></iframe> </body> </center> </html> For example, this scenario: 1. My page contains the text "giraffes in corduroys" 2. somebody googles that text - either as a phrase or just the words 3. google points them to my page 4. the user clicks to go to my page... Is there any way to determine that it was the text "giraffes in corduroys" which brought them to my page? Would the crux be getting the previous URL in the browser history? can a border be made around a picture without making a table? TIA Relating to: http://www.envirotechuk.org/show.php?page=2 I'm trying to get the news section of this page up and running properly, and this is a "template" I have come up with so far, but as you can see it is a very ugly look, very simple, and does not align properly. All the pictures are 100x(52-100) pixels, but I can only find ways to set the maximum width, nowhere can I seem to resize it to 100x100, or something along those lines. Maybe a good website that resizes pictures to exact sizes? Or is there a template I can use to separate the articles a bit more and give it a uniform look, that will allow for the different heights of the pictures? Any help would be appreciated. Im hoping to put a animated picture on top of a header, but not sure how... Then my client added new content and pictures by themself and apparently the images load but then disappear in IE. Debugging didn't help, go figure. Anyone encounter this problem? Hi, guys. Both new to forums and HTML, but learning fast! I'm currently working on a project, got design and everything ready, and I have created all <div-tags> that I need. I now have a problem with pictures now showing up as I want them. I have created a graphic element for example, with squares on the bottom of the page, and the file is saved as .png, with an opacity. When I specify which file it is in the CSS file, pictures won't show up. Might it be cause the file has an opacity on the direct graphic, and if so; is it possible to set opacity in the HTML.code, or do I need to start with PHP too? Cheers, I'm green at html. I designed a webpage 10years ago using html for dummies, but I have not touched it since. Things have changed and I have forgotten, but google has helped me. What I do struggle with is having pictures side by side and text under them. using: <a href="6922_13_x.jpg"><img src="6922_13_x_thumbnail.jpeg" width="335" height="282" /></a> <a href="6969_01_x.jpg"><img src="6969_01_x_thumbnail.jpeg" width="125" height="280" /></a> gets the thumbnails side by side, but once adding <p>text</p> they change position. Help would be appreciated deply. There are about 200 photos in a folder d:\photos\. How to make a script to display slideshow of all photos one by one without entering each photo's name? I found a script which displays all photos but need to input all photos' name. hello, how can i place pictures i wrote a poem left side and need place a pic right side of the poem but it goes right side of where the poem end any help appreciated when working locally in the latest Version of IE. They show up fine in FireFox. I searched the forum but it didn't turn any thing up. I tried my setting in IE but can't figure this out. Does anyone have a simple fix for this? Thanks....tg http://www.reliablegaming.com/test/games2.html I cant seem to get text under each picture, only on the sides....could someone do 1 and resend code so i can see how you did it?
