HTML - Help With Iframe In Html File
Hi,
I have a problem in a page of my web site: http://flash-clocks.com/documents/html-embed-tag.html When opened, the iframe below is focused, and I do not want that. How should I fix that? Similar Tutorialshi everybody, I am working in a html. I defined a functiion in a html file.(first.html) I want to call that function in another html file.(second.html) How can i call that function in second.html file? give some sample code Thanks in advance.... Would somebody help me inserting an iFrame inside my Weebly page? The file I wish to embed is http://www.weebly.com/uploads/6/4/0/.../care_map.html and I have been trying with <iframe width="600" height="800" src="http://www.weebly.com/uploads/6/4/0/3/6403750/care_map.html></iframe> but it tries to open the referenced file instead to visualize it inside the frame... Please, HELP!!! I dont' want to use iframe, but want something like server side includes. I don't want to use php or anything, just html. Are there any other options besides iframe? Or will I have to use PHP? Hi, I'm trying to include one HTML file in another. I tried iframe and was displeased with the results, I want the size of the frame to change dynamically and not just scroll. Fair warning, my knowledge of JavaScript is non-existent >_> . Basically, I have a document written in HTML (please don't suggest a wholesale re-write, that's simply not practical) and the idea is to have one file where it makes sense to include it several times. One thing to mention, this document is not meant to be shown on a web-server, but in a browser while you're reading it off your hard-drive. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, help appreciated! Hi, I have what I think is a simple problem, but I am not sure how to solve it (because I am fairly new at php): I want to use a google map link where it will show the destination address. This link uses the iFrame component. Now, on my site, I want the user to enter his/her departing address, and what is entered will be input into a php variable $address. I am still experimenting, but I wanted to replace the google link that is in the iFrame (say it is www.googlemaps.com/location1+location2+location3) I want to replace "location1" with $address. The thing is, when i try to put a php variable inside an html coding, it won't work. I am trying to integrate it without having to use <?php ?>, but rather in the body of the html. I also tried <?=$address?> but this also did not work. Could anyone help me out? it seems very simple. Is there a way to target an anchor in the main .html file from a flash movie inside an iframe? this.links.portfolio.onRelease = function(){ getURL("http://asdf.com/blah/xx.html#portfolio"); } is my current code in my flash movie that is inside an iframe, but that opens the link inside the iframe. Hello, this is my first message here and I hope it will be for all you experts a serious one. This is my page I am developing right now: http://www.travelevros.gr/main.htm The page has one IFrame that loads its subpage of the flash menu. Please dont tell me to get rid of it, I need that IFrame. The flash menu it is placed outside of that IFrame of course, its container is the main page main.htm. In IE, everything works ok and the menu (as transparent) drops down nicely and the user can click the submenus alright, even if they are above the IFrame area. But with Firefox Mozilla, even though the menu drops down nicely too, the user cannot click the submenus, not even the links inside the IFrame page (that covered from the swf rectangular region). So there is a confusion in the Mozilla browser, where to send the click events: to the flash menu or the html page located in the IFrame. What should I do to make this work with Firefox Mozilla? I've tried some solutions i've found in Google, like entering the "z-index" property, placing the flash menu and/or IFrame inside a DIV layer, but I couldnt make it to work. The submenus still cannot be clicked when they drop over the IFrame content. As I said, in IE works fine. I've found somewhere else that the tip for this problem is to place the menu in a DIV and make that DIV load AFTER the IFrame is displayed, at the end of the page, thing that I dont have the knowledge to do. If this is right solution, can somebody help me doing this? On the other hand, if there is some other solution then I am ready to listen. Thank you very much for your time. p/s Check the first menu on the left, it works in Mozilla too, but thats because this region its outside the IFrame. The other menu choices falls down to the IFrame region, so the problem is with the layer placement. Hi ,I am new in html.Hope you can guide me step-by-step on this. I want to import my .txt file into the html form and the html form can add new item then to be add in to that particular .txt file too as well. can this be done? For example: (fruits.txt) 1.apple 2.banana 3.orange Can this fruit.txt be impoted to fruit.html page and show it at fruit.html page, at the same time, the fruit html page allow to add in new fruit, and once user add in new fruit, the fruit.txt file will be updated as well. (I know this sounds naughty but intentions are honorable!) basically I want to set the page to be a header (of my website header) and an Iframe type element containing the full html of the scraped text. It is a very basic, sort of old-fashioned website that relies entirely on html. What I'm trying to do is make a drop-down menu that will be used as navigation for a section of a website and I want to have it in each internally linked page in that section, but I'm going to be adding more pages to it over time so I want to be able to put the drop-down menu code in a separate text file and then substitute it into the pages that I make that the options in the menu link to and then just edit the code in the text file when I add another page so that I don't have to go back and edit the code every single individual page whenever I add a new one among them. Thank you GCS Hi all, I'm working on a project to make my job a little easier. A brief description is that I have to write up case notes and when I am finished with the notes I submit them. What I am looking for is a code so when I hit the submit button on the tool I created, it will create a log file and save my case notes to that log file. The tool that I created is html based and it's on my local computer. I would also like for it to create the log file on my local computer. Is this possible? A good example is like a messenger service like msn or yahoo IM. When you are done talking to someone it creates a log file of the conversation. Any idea? I'm completely lost ... Thanks!! T I was wondering how I can go about making a single HTML page that all my pages reference to place menus and pictures. The only thing I want to change is content in the middle portion of the page but I don't want to use frames. I have a css already made and that works wonderfully it's just a bit tedious to go through and edit each html document individually every time I change something on the menu's or pictures. As far as I can tell I can't do that in the CSS (place the HTML code directly I mean for divs and such). Any help is greatly appreciated. Hi all, I have saved files in a folder. Everyday I am saving file with same name but daily dates included in the name. I want to just send the link of the file everyday that I don't have to change the name of the link provided to the user but with the different name behind the link. When user click the link it should give user option to "open and save" dialogue box. For this purpose I have tried some option. A window opened behind dialogue box and after complete download it is not closing itself. So I have required following: 1. User to give option with open and save dialogue box. 2. The browser window should close itself after download file complete or it should open, just give open and save option. Hope everyone will understand. Zia. I accidentally deleted the folder where I stored the files for my new website. I managed to recover the folder using a recovery program but unfortunately the html file seems to be damaged. Is there a way to repair the html file ? I want to be able to have a script in my .html page that loads HTML from a file in the directory so that if I want to update, I can change only he file and not every single web page. I work for a small publishing company that has an e-newsletter. well actually it started out as a mailed newsletter and then fax now email as well and the only problem is that I find everyone is forwarding this newsletter. Is there some sort of code that can be added to the script to either track when it has been forwarded or stop it from being forwarded or copied and pasted? or anything? I have done some searching and have come up with the colective answer "no" but feel like there has to be something I/we can do! Any help would be greatly, I mean greatly appreciated.
