Right now I'm having 2 problems. #1 my menus are getting overlapped by the flash, I keep trying a z-index on the div I have in the flash, but it isn't working. #2 I'm having problems positioning the div which the flash is contained by. For example I tried centering the div with css and it was to no avail. I had to put <center></center> around the whole div to achieve this. If anyone could help that would be amazing, check out www.atlanta-web.com Thanks, ive currently built an html website with a flash menu and would like to use it with iframes so that the menu doesn't have to refresh with page.. unfortunatelly this is my first time working with iframes and i am not sure what code to put into my flash buttons to call the page into the frame. I pretty much understand how to use iframes altogether, just not with flash as well! you can view the website he www.exsystems.co.uk (mind the flash embed, im still working on that too!) if someone would share some knowledge on this i would be very greatful! I have a menu with coffie cup flash menu builder. And i have frames HTML. I know this question as be asked 10000 Times. How do i get the flash menu to go to my main frame page. It keeps opening in its own window a new window or taken up the hole window with out the frames. I tryed eveything including (release) { getURL ("main.html", "main"); } But it still doesnt work but i have no idear how to get this to work Hello, I would like to get the website menu to appear above the flash object. http://www.greekconcierge.com/weddings.php Currently when you click on "Our Services" this is hidden below the flash image object. many thanks, andy Hi, I'm new here. Nice to meet all of you, and thank you for bearing with me. I found a free flash panorama viewer, pan0, that I am using to view my own panoramas. The code looks like this (please ignore the emoticon, it came up because a colon and capital D are next to each other in the code): <object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0" width="100%" height="100%" title="Hello, Panorama"> <embed src="pan0.swf?panoSrc=sample_full.jpg" allowFullScreen="true" width="100%" height="100%" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" bgcolor="#DDDDDD"> </embed> </object> My problem is that I want to use this on blogger, but can't store sample_full.jpg locally on Google. I tried substituting https://path/to/where/my/image/is/stored/on/picasa for sample_full.jpg, but it doesn't work. Is there a way to get this to work on blogger? I see that there are commercial programs that create standalone flash panoramas, but I am not that heavily into it to spend the money. I'd like to create a standalone flash application on my own, if that's possible, or find a workaround. I'm a Linux user, if that matters. Thanks for your help. I have a Flash menu in a top frame, with a bottom frame that holds the content. Some of the content is large and needs to be scrolled. I would like the site to appear frameless, so the menu scrolls along with the content (so if you scrolled all the way down, you wouldn't see the menu). I initially tried putting it all into another frame, but didn't have much luck with that. I'm open to any suggestions. Let me know if I need to clarify anything. Thanks. Hello, this is my first message here and I hope it will be for all you experts a serious one. This is my page I am developing right now: http://www.travelevros.gr/main.htm The page has one IFrame that loads its subpage of the flash menu. Please dont tell me to get rid of it, I need that IFrame. The flash menu it is placed outside of that IFrame of course, its container is the main page main.htm. In IE, everything works ok and the menu (as transparent) drops down nicely and the user can click the submenus alright, even if they are above the IFrame area. But with Firefox Mozilla, even though the menu drops down nicely too, the user cannot click the submenus, not even the links inside the IFrame page (that covered from the swf rectangular region). So there is a confusion in the Mozilla browser, where to send the click events: to the flash menu or the html page located in the IFrame. What should I do to make this work with Firefox Mozilla? I've tried some solutions i've found in Google, like entering the "z-index" property, placing the flash menu and/or IFrame inside a DIV layer, but I couldnt make it to work. The submenus still cannot be clicked when they drop over the IFrame content. As I said, in IE works fine. I've found somewhere else that the tip for this problem is to place the menu in a DIV and make that DIV load AFTER the IFrame is displayed, at the end of the page, thing that I dont have the knowledge to do. If this is right solution, can somebody help me doing this? On the other hand, if there is some other solution then I am ready to listen. Thank you very much for your time. p/s Check the first menu on the left, it works in Mozilla too, but thats because this region its outside the IFrame. The other menu choices falls down to the IFrame region, so the problem is with the layer placement. Hi there, i'm trying to insert a flash movie into the html of my index.cfm file using dreamweaver. Im quite new to working with files that link to a coldfusion database. Anyhow, it doesn't seem to play, and i'm guessing it's because it doesn't like the scripts file generated by dreamweaver. Here is the swf movie http://www.thinking-forward.co.uk/sk...rintoffers.swf. It calls on images using xml. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards Hi, Could anyone explain to me why the Flash file won't show up when played in Safari? It comes in super small and can't be seen... It contains an image and sound and should be in the first top black bar... Any help would be greatly appreciated! http://www.curiousclothing.com/new/index_test.htm Can anyone help me with this please? Im really new to html and I wanna make a website. >.> Anyway I want to make the website in flash because im way better at flash and I won't have to learn as much. So what I wanna do is 1. make the website in flash (just attach the file/image or something) 2. When you click on a certain thing it will link to another page on the site and there I'll have a movie/game attached there. Thanks a lot in advance This is the code I'm using to put flash in, Code: <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="200" width="200" data="http://www.amarasoftware.com/slideshow.swf"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" /> <param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.amarasoftware.com/slideshow.swf" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> </object> .. I want to put this flash in an absolute postition Code: position:absolute; top:730px; left:30px; That is an exsample of how I did it with an image. How would I make my flash be absolute postition.... were should I put it. Thanks, You may have seen this question before, but I cannot for the life of me find an answer that works. I embedded a .swf flash file on a page on my website. This flash plays perfectly on IE and Chrome, but nothing shows up on Safari or Firefox. I, at first, wrote the code by hand. Then I instead used swfobject to properly write the code (this still hasn't fixed the problem) I used the w3 markup validation site to check the code, and it comes back with 0 errors. Any Ideas? The code is below: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en"> <head> <title></title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="posthink.swf"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> swfobject.registerObject("myFlashContent", "9.0.0"); </script> </head> <body> <div style="text-align: center;"> <object classid="clsid: D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="550" height="400" id="myFlashContent"> <param name="movie" value="posthink.swf" /> </object> </div> </body> </html> (I inserted a space in the classid= tag to do away with the : D turning into a smiley) Thanks for your help. I want to have 4 drop down menus, with about 4 choices in each one. Under them I need a 'Submit" button. Basically, I need it so that any combination of the 4 choices in the 4 menus will open a specific page. For instance, lets say in menu 1 I pick the word "cat". In menu 2, I pick the word "dog". In menu 3 I pick the word "car". In menu 4 I pick the word "tree". Once I click submit, a page with a picture of a cat, dog, tree and car would open up.
