HTML - Image Change On Mouseover
I am having an impossible time finding the correct way to code this in Expression Web 4. I want to have an image that when it's moused over will change to another image, and back again to the original image when you move the mouse off. Nothing I can find online seems to do the trick, though. Any suggestions?

This links to a .css file I have that makes the link text turn bold when you scroll over it. Now, heres the confusing part. Heres what I want: When you scroll over the navigation bar thing (the white bar that says [ATS] vs {DEATH}, no record, no record, no record, no record) it changes from the current backround ( http://atsquad.com/images/leftbarrepeat_11.gif ) to a new backround ( http://atsquad.com/images/leftbarrepeatmouseover_11.gif ). Also when you scroll over the white bar, the font changes from normal to bold (which is currently achieved from the style.css file) I'm not sure if i'm asking too much here, like I said, i'm still pretty much a newbie at html. Thanks in advanced, jake. Hello Im creating a IE Mobile website, which has limited CSS capabilities ( see http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/...es/213771.aspx ) and jscript capabilities( http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ects2_jrzu.asp ) I have been able to change the buttons color and my current version I have the following code that changes the page background color when a button is focused. Well thanks for any help 1 can extend! Hey, Making a site here, but I want to change the image when my mouse is over it. How do I do this in HTML? It's best if I dont have to use any scripts. What I want to do I imagine shouldn't be too difficult but I'm very new to this and trying to teach myself as I go. What I have is an image with various hotspots on it pointing to different pages. Now My hot spots work fine which amazed me but i what i need to be able to do is when i rollover a hot spot a pop up type window comes up showing a small amout of information about the page its linked to and a small image of same web page. I would appreciate any help but please bear in mind I am really new to all this so instructions wil have to be really basic or you'll just lose me. Oh and I'm using dreamweaver if that helps. If this is possible in one of the other adabe programmes where I could save all the information on the image or whatever then I'm willign to try anything. Cheers guys. Hello! I'm having trouble with a mouseover image I'm using. I've done mouseover before, but for some reason, it isn't working for me! It is a download button, and if you move your mouse over it, it is supposed to be highlighted. I have it on the page 11 times. If I use it just once, it works. If I use it more than once, it doesn't work. Can anyone tell me why? How can you make a linked image to have a mouseover sound and image swap at the same time? Please help. Hi guys, This is my first post. Im a beginner with website design. I want to have mouseover images that are links to pages on my site. The thing is I want them to controll my In line frames. Normally you do it like <A HREF="inf4.html" TARGET="right" >Click Here</a> But how do I do it with a mouseover image? I've found some help here already, so thanks in advance to the good folks that help us novices. I have just a couple that need addressing, but they're pretty important to me, so hopefully someone can spell them out. I'll explain them below but here's a quick rundown first: 1.) Wrapping text around a captioned image 3.) A pop-up text bar when a link is moused over. 1.) When I'm posting an image, a caption is almost always necessary. Here's the code I've been using for the image and caption: "<table class="image"> <caption align="bottom">CAPTION</caption> <tr><td><IMAGE LINK></td></tr> </table>" But when I post like that, there's a break between paragraphs to show the image, which disrupts the reading flow. I need a code that will let me post an image, add a bottom-aligned caption, and still have the story text appear alongside the image. NOTE: I've been shown the "align=left/right" code, but where do I insert that in the code listed above?? I've tried right before and right after the image source code, but to no avail. Help, please!! 2.) I'm willing to spend hours to learn this one. Somebody, somebody has to know how to do this one. It's done on this site! OK, here it is. You mouse over a post listing, and a text bar appears next to the cursor. In that bar is the first few lines of the person's post. HOW IS THIS DONE??? For someone looking to find new ways to boost hits on a news site, this is a priceless gem. If anyone knows how to do this or something similar in HTML, PLEASE let me know. Thanks in advance to each and every person who reads this, and a special thanks to those who take the time to help. It means much. aefattwotgm@aol.com Ive been working on a website in my free time, and I have been wondering if it's possible to hover over a link, and change the text color of another link. A picture of one of my web pages is shown in the link below. http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...screenshot.jpg I want to be able to hover over something from the side navigation bars and have various links in the bottom naviational bar change color. So like hovering over Blood Elf, would make Death Knight, Mage, Paladin, Warlock, Priest, Rogue, Hunter turn red Does anyone know how to do this? or even know if it is possible? Wondering if it's possible to make a circular image change to a different image on mouseover for each of the links in the sample photo. I'm thinking this would be easy to do if the image were square and not circular. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Is this possible and could you point me in the right direction? Hi: This morning I changed an old image on my website to a NEW image. No names were changed in my Main Page. Still the same old src=etc, etc However, after 20 minutes, the *old* image is still displaying. Even though I only have the *new* image on my apache Webserver !! *Who* keeps this old image and where do they keep it ? I'm very puzzled ! Can anyone explain this please ? Thank you. -Mel Smith Ok, I dont know what its called, but you know that little 16x16 picture that appears before the URL in the address box? That little image that appears next to the lnks in your favorites? How do you change that? I have been asked to redesign a site. The basic elements will stay the same, but the folder structure is crazy! The current site is http://www.npsign.com Please don't pay attention to the current code on the site. I'm doing a complete makeover, so the fact that it is currently not W3C standard will change. However, the index.html file or home page has pictures that rotate in a frame. I don't mind changing any code at all. In fact I think that I'm going to have to redesign the entire site!! On the home page you will notice that the pictures rotate and or change every 3 seconds or so. What I'm looking for is an answer to how to create this change in Dreamweaver CS5.5. The index.html file is the only file that this takes place on. I guess to give it a more dynamic look. However, is my best option to use adobe flash to change the images, or is there more simplified code to change the images in the block? Any feedback on this would be appreciated, even if there are multiple example for me to create the effect of different images changing. This could be a fade effect, or a simple picture to picture swap. This particular subject is beyond my knowledge, as well as a few more questions I may have. Basically, they are looking for a way to get this done on the cheap. I don't mind doing it because it is a learning experience for me!! Thank you for all responses!! Edit: This may be what I'm looking for! http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamwea...f21-7ae8a.html Any response is appreciated! Ok, so i have an image that's 2 x 1 and the div I'm placing it in is 1 x 1. (easy math example) My website is showing the top half of the image, which is what i want it to do. I would like it to show the bottom half of the image when i put my mouse over it. How do i do this? (It's a blue button that changes yellow) So basically how do i change the image position in that div? Thanks I'm designing a website in html for a college project. I'm having a bit of trouble so hopefully someone here can help me. At the moment I have a white square on the homepage that is a link. I was hoping that when I have visited the page it links to and return to the homepage this square will be a different colour. I don't know if this is even possible but I would appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Thanks iv got two images and i want one to change into the other on mouseover but i also need it to be linked to a certain page , so basically its one image changing to another on mouseover and on click goes to a specified page if therea anything else you need to know please just ask Jake I am working on my 3rd navigaition, except this time i need the images to change when the mouse goes over them. How should i go about doing this? I have seen many ways but i want to hear what you think the best way to do this is. |
