So I really love this template I found, and I was able to edit most of what I wanted, and didn't want to include. I know a little about coding, but not that much. The only major issue left is that I want my blog posts to show up on the main page, but I can't figure out how to do that. I don't want people to have to click on the links at the top to get everything. I would like a few posts to be available to read on the main page.

There is a code included for blog posts, but for some reason they still don't up on the main page. Does anyone know a bit about coding to share how I could fix this problem?

I started a new project recently, nothing too original but fun for me, please take a look:

I'd like the most recently posted photo to be added to the end of the list every time I update, rather than the beginning. And would like to disable the shadow effect that you can see when hovering over one of the photo thumbnails.

I downloaded a template so not sure if it's the kind of thing where I can just add a code in or if some bits of the template need to be altered.

Hi! Didnt know if to put this in HTML or CSS.

I want a title, date and thumbnail of my recent posts from the category "blog" to appear in my footer, siimilar to this side (they have it in the sidebar though) http://i56.tinypic.com/30a9nhx.jpg. Because there is PHP involved, I can't really peak into the source code

I've tried this hack, btu it also genereates an excerpt which is not what I want, as it gets too long to fit in my footer, plus, there is no category thumb:

i almost went crazy trying to troubleshoot this one... thought i'd share.

Turns out a "space" at the end of the link text pushes the text upwards slightly.
Simply remove the space (or add on to the other line) or use the space code [ ]
The css also plays a part, this doesn't appear happen when text is "unformatted"

This isn't merely an attempt to sound like something from "The Matrix", but I'm continuing to work on my companies website and for some reason in IE when I place a picture at a certain place the web page give me enough room to scroll the page right. (There isn't anything there, it just has a scroll bar at the bottom and you can scroll the whole thing right leaving it half off the page looking at just background.)

I just finished my website and inserted so flash in it before I inserted the flash everything was fine after I inserted the flash a lot of space was created under it I used the layers
method because I need my flash to be on top of something. But for some reason alot
of extra space is created. I tried this on a different website on mine too and the same thing happened.

Here is the link have a look at it. Notice the extra space under the stickman the white space between the stickman and the footer if you can't tell then open any different page like the updates because that doesn't have the stick man.

I am making HTML codes for ebay.
I work with Frontpage, and when I paste my HTML code in ebay page the space betweens the lines becomes 2 lines instead of 1 line.
At frontpage it looks ok, I mean the space is 1 line like I want it to be but in ebay there is no way to change the space.

Hey everyone,

I'm working on this page http://www.executivetravellink.com/flights-test.htm. I have included two seperate very basic tables that I don't want much space between, but as you can see on the page, something is going wrong and there is a huge gap in between the two tables. This only seems to happen in Internet Explorer as Firefox automatically fixes the problem.

If anyone can figure out a solution for this issue, it would be much appreciated.

First post here, I know a little bit so hopefully there will some n00ber than I to help down the road.

For some reason all of these attempts (in html5) are coming up with 4px between the top and bottom of the images (horizontal space)

I also tried it previously without the hspace/vspace attributes with no success.

Okay. I am sick of searching on google and w3c.org for solutions. I am asking anyone who is a pro at web developing to help me out!

Problem
I am using loadVars in Flash, from a *.html file. Mainly because the server does not support PHP and because in HTML I can have comments. I am spacing out the text like so, for readability:

&variable1=value1
&variable2=value2
&variable3=value3
etc.

when I do the line breaks, the HTML page automatically encodes whitespaces. I need an HTML tag or possibly CSS or Javascript that will get rid of all the whitespaces. Or if it is possible, as I was looking on w3c.org, there might be a text/content type or url-encode type that will do this, but haven't found one.

If anyone has any ideas, I need them.

Again, I am trying to remove all the whitespace in the ENTIRE page.
