HTML - Text From Form To Another Url Help
Hi. I am new to html and i am trying to understand how to link the text someone puts into a form onto another url. what I want more or less is for someone to enter a text, press submit, then find their text on the next page. So when they click "submit" they are redirected to a page with other users posts all stacked on top of eachother.
Also, I have a radio button that is clicked before being able to submit the post. I want it so that they have to check the radio box before they can submit. Finally, what they checked in that box(either male or female) needs to show next to their post. Im sorry if this is a lengthy and hard to understand explanation of my problem. I really really appreciate the help. You're awesome Similar TutorialsHi Can any one help. I have this form the user is ask to input a message and a number. I've been trying to get user input using form with the LINK method to recreate the user text on the next page to be at a slant 45 degree, using transform function of css. In my first page: <FORM id="userTextForm" METHOD="LINK" ACTION="text.html"> <textarea rows="5" cols="20" wrap="physical" name="userText"> Enter your thoughts here </textarea> <input type="submit" value="submit thoughts"> </FORM> Is there anyway for me to display the input on the next page with just css transform or do I have to do something else on the server side. I''m making a form with three input bars. When the user presses "submit", the contents of the three inputs is put together in a string, which is then sent to a CGI program. Is there any way to add arbitrary text to that string - whether before or after the stuff gathered from the form's inputs - so that my CGI program can know which form called it? Hi, I have been making progress making my site but I'm stuck. I have added a html for to my site, but when I test it out, I don't recieve an email with the information. http://pacificnewsnow.com/index2.htm Also, the test under the "Top Story" image appears to but a little chopped off on the top and bottom. Is there a way to fix that? Thanks! Hello, Does anyone know how to create an input form that saves text to a text file? i.e. a text box with a submit button. Thanks. Hi I have a form which posts back using mailto: method="post" enctype="text/plain" So all the lines in the emial which the form sends look like this: line1= form text line2= more form text line3= more form text is it possible to remove the line1= ? so the email would look like: form text more form text more form text I have removed the name of the form field element as a test on line 1 so it looks like: =form text line2= more form text line3= more form text But you can see it still holds the = Can I get rid of this too? Thanks in adv.. Looking for a form / script to place on an HTML page that will accept not only a number of fields (name, email, etc) but a file (MS Word, TXT, or PDF) as well. Contents can either be stored in a SQL database, saved on server, or emailed to an account. Any help is appreciated. I'm working on my site www.fastvacationrentals.com and I've been trying to find or deveolp (I don't know how hard this would be a word based text editor to add onto a text field. Such as the one they use on this site when we respond to messages. I don't know if there is a easy javascript, html, or php script out there that is free to use. I've tried to search for ones and have not had much luck. I only think I'm interested in ones that do not have advertisment shown. I did find a couple that looked just liked microsoft word in the text box with no tags added as this does then converts it all to html before it posts. Would have worked great if hadn't of cost anything/advertisments also. The other thing I'm having problems with is when people create listings they choose the location for where there cabin is at. States are easy but when you get to cities people spell things wrong and it doesn't look good in the results nor the search. I've seen sites where you select the state then it changes and shows all the cities there. Is this something I can get premade also for free. I know exactly how to make it but I also know that I wont be able to cover all the cities. Having all the correct cities names spelt the same would make my search work better with the database. Thanks for reading all of this and I hope someone has some good advice/answers. BTW I'm sorry you cant exactly see the form your working on since you have to be a user but I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about and if you don't feel free to make a account and look around. Hi all, sorry I am pretty new with this so I hope I can explain what it is I am trying to do here. I've recently been tasked with creating a 'note taking' html template at work, to assist with note taking for operators in a call center. I was selected due to nobody else having any understanding of how computers work beyond using microsoft office, go figure : / Anyway. Basically what I am trying to do is be able to create a basic htlm template which has a text box, and some 'radio' buttons and check boxes which assign text when selected. Example, we take down notes when clients call up and speak with someone. We would have say 2 check boxes to cover things like "Full name of client confirmed, confirmed clients details". If the phone operator clicked these 2 buttons, it would copy that exact text into the text box. If they clicked one, it would only copy that. There would also be a 'radio' button, "Transferred client directly to desired party, transferred client to extension without employee contact" would be the options for example. Basically only 1 option can be selected, and that option would populate the text box if selected. I'm also looking at hwo to create a button with a 'reset' feature to basically wipe everything clean so it can be started over once the operator takes another call. So far I am able to create a form with the text box and buttons, but I don't know what code I need to look at to assign text to those buttons. It's an easy idea, just need to get my foot in the door as I haven't really touched html since I was finishing high school year ago. Anyone able to assist, i would imagine it's not as difficult as I am makign it out to be Hi I have a php form on the contact section of my website. It has a Name, Email and Message Box My Problem is in the message box i have made it quite large so they can type in what they need. But the blinking line to show where the start of the text is is in the centre of the box. How can I align this to the top left? Many Thanks This is a problem that i driving me crazy. I have this forms on my website that people can use to post comments. They have one textarea that they should write their name in and another that they should write their comment. I try to make the default text "Namn" and "Kommentar", but only "Namn" is showing in firefox. The weird thing is though, that if I change places between the two textareas, both are showing fine. I provide the site with the source code, and for a quicker check, the code for the two textareas. <textarea name="db_comment_namn" type="text" value="Namn" rows="1" cols="15" style="font-size: xx-small; font-family: Verdana; font-weight: Bold; font-style: Italic; border: 1px inset #CCCCCC; padding: 1px;">Namn</textarea> <textarea name="db_comment_kommentar" type="text" value="Kommentar" rows="1" cols="50" style="font-size: xx-small; font-family: Verdana; font-weight: Bold; font-style: Italic; border: 1px inset #CCCCCC; padding: 1px;">Kommentar</textarea> http://foto.jaxell.se Thanks in advance. I have created a nice Newsletter Registration form, but I would really like to modify the form so that instead of displaying the browsers default images for text fields, checkboxes, etc, I want it to display my images that I have created.
