HTML - Any Way To Display A Message When Flash Is Not Found On The Ipad?
Apple is obviously rejecting Flash to protect it's 'App' revenue. I've been on Android phones that run Flash and display all my content perfectly smooth. It can be quite frustrating how they are trying to bury it when I still have yet to see HTML5 replicate the type of interactive content Flash is capable of producing.
Is there any way to display a message on the iPad when the Flash player is not found? I'd like it to says something along the lines of: "Unfortunately the Apple iPad does not support the Flash player because their business interests do not want it taking away from their App revenue. Did you know that the Dell Streak, HTC Flyer, Blackberry Playbook, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Toshiba Thrive, and HP Touchpad all support the Flash player?" I have designed/built a website, and for some reason - the "Flash" content doesn't always display in Internet Explorer 7+ Some pages do display the Flash, some pages dont. Can anyone help me to make sure the flash displays right? what happens is the player loader displays at the top instead of the center and the control buttons are present before it loads. then after the loader fails it shows a "cannot connect" error. so I think the flash object is resizing inside its self. can anyone help me clean up this script so it will display correctly in iPhone safari (with flash enabled)? website is he smalldotdesign.zxq.net/iSwim.html that is where the HTML file is located that I am trying to get corrected. thanks in advance. i have a feeling this is going to be a tough fix. hello, i can not get the layout on the ipad right for a client. The design is specifically for an ipad, and I''ve been using the ipadpeek.com site to help me to check the site aswell as a borrowed ipad. The site works great landscape, but once turned to portrait it gets scaled, the header should be the width of the screen. It's not just he header that is scaled, its the whole page. All the files are in the same folder, thumbnails are called something like "img1_sm" and the big version is "img1". There must be a way i would imagine. Any input very welcome How would I set something up on a website hosted by the server, were I can implement a text box that can be update by not updating the actual page it self, so I dont have to continually update the actual page rather some other form be able to update current news, and dates of certain events.
