HTML - Open In New Browser Problem!

Hello All,

I am searching for a solution for a friend of mine.

He has a new website, that runs perfectly in Firefox, and Chrome, however not in Internet Explorer.

He runs IE6 in XP. Yes, i konw, IE6.

The issue is that there is a program that will ONLY run in IE6. Upgrade IE, and it will not work. There is no option here.

So what I am trying to find is some sort of coding that in Firefox / Chrome, that when that coding is reached (could be a plain .html or .php document) that ie6 will then open up for that page to be viewed.

This will enable my friend, to use their new website in either firefox or chrome, however when that program is required, and they click on the link in firefox or chrome, then ie6 will open up and off they go.

Any ideas?

Is there a way to have a link bring up a 'Save as...' box by default rather than having the link open the file inside my visitors' browser. More specifically, I have a long lecture on my site (mp3) that by default opens in my visitors' browsers rather than offering to be downloaded. I know visitors can right-click on the link to get a 'Save as...' box, but I would rather 'Save as...' be the default action whenever the link is clicked.

I have this site I designed, of course I like it perfectly in Internet Explorer but when I tried it in FIREFOX something gets messed up.

Basically, you scroll over the cagalogue numbers [ID03] etc. If you click on one, a new smaller window opens. This works perfectly in IE for me.

In Firefox, when I click on it, the smaller window opens, and the background window a few seconds later follows and displays the small page fullscreen as well. Basically, I want the homepage to always be in the background, and these seperate pages to always be in the smaller windows.

I'm on a PC, I notice in Firefox it works properly if you RIGHT click on the items, but most people are going to LEFT click, so... I need it to work the same as it does in Internet Explorer.

What do I do?!

hoverlink is the name of my CSS for rollover links.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Okay, with frames, whenever there is a link that you want to open up in the parent browser rather than inside the frame, all you have to add to the link code is "target="_parent"". However, for INPUT BUTTONS(not links) this doesn't seem to be the case.

the input button is INSIDE A FRAME, and because of that, when I click on it- the link goes inside the frame... how do I make it so the input button links to the PARENT browser?

Hi! I have a problem with select elements ... on every browser without exception...
I have form elements that have tooltip assigned to them... and if I go to a select element and open it so it's options are visible, leave it opened and then hover on another form element to make it's tooltip to appear ... and surprize the tooltipdiv apears under the opened options ...
The strange thing is that the select element is hidden under the tooltip div, only it's options are over the tooltip.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

I'he created one Html Page. Which comtains Frames.
It is working fine in Firefox but in IE8 size is increased.. (Looking Like Zoom In) and Border of the Frame is not displaying in IE8.

In IE and Opera is displaying ok! But in Firefox not.. It is a white space!

I created a website with google pages http://jlandbirk.googlepages.com/cross
It works fine in Explorer but some problems in Firefox.
In Firefox the banners are spaced further apart. But when I click on them they grow closer together.

Keep in mind google pages has some built in code. Any ideas?

I have some questions regarding my recent school project.
I'm working on a simple video-interface interaction that I'm having trouble with.

However, it only works on firefox. If I use safari/google chrome to view it, it will bounce up and down. Also, how can i make sure my mouse cursor stays in the video so when i scroll it won't make the website scroll too? (I tried Iframe but it doesn't work)*

Any ideas on how I can solve this?
