Anyways I need a very basic code that I can input into my page that will enable the above. And yes my server accepts PHP Iv checked and rechecked this, For some reason I just dont seem to get on with PHP. Iv been at this for a week?!? Please im going crazy here, help please.......... script completed, thx Hi, I want to put in a form to get queries from the user, like so: Name: Email: Comments: 'Send' button and that it will send the information to my email address which is gmail? Thanks Hey all, new here and not a very good coder at all, but i find pieces of information and try and make best of it....and as far i can see i cant find this sort of information on this website my problem is im trying to create a code that will log in to a website, wait a few (i.e. 2 seconds) then go to a second web page that is a part of this site for example --> www.htmlforum.com --> (automate login) --> then go to www.htmlforum.com/example this is what i have found so far </head> <body> <FORM action=http://www.thewebsiteexample.com/login.php method= post name=login> <INPUT class=login_input type=hidden name=usrname value="myusername"> <INPUT class=login_input type=hidden name=uemail value="myemail@hotmail.com"> <INPUT class=login_input type=hidden name=peeword value="mypassword"> <INPUT class=login_input type=submit value=Login> <body onload="document.login.submit();"> </form> </body> this code allows me to log in successfully to the site i wish to go to i also have this code to allow loading of a new page (but works only AFTER successfully logged in) <script> <!-- location.replace("http://www.mywebsiteexample.com/arms.php"); --> </script> my problem is i dont know how to join the code, whereby i successfully log in, then run the script to go to the subpage my idea is to delay running of the script code perhaps? which should then allow to successfully load the subpage...or perhaps you guys know another way help is DEFINITELY very appreciated! cheers all! Hey guys, im new here, just a quick query and im sure its a beginners question How would i align an image to the right of a block of text, for example Text 1 Text 2 IMAGE HERE Text 3 Hope that makes sense? Many thanks Eddy Hi, I have a page that does some javascript calculation and put the result in a textbox. I want to have give the user the option the email the result to himself/herself. I saw something like mailto:xxxxxx but this sends email to the known xxxxxx email address. Is there any way where xxxxxx is taken from the input box where the user types his/her email. something like mailto:'getElementById("txtbox").value???? Just to mention, there is no form submit (no post back) is is all done on the client side with javascript Any help would be very appreciated. Note: -I'm new to HTML and web dev. Thank you Is there a way to have an email form that includes a field where you would enter an email address and this would be used in the "to" field of the email. Hey guys, I have recently learned the "mailto:" action and whenever i try to link it to my email it always comes up with a dialog box saying "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed". I know i am going to get some grief for this, but i am a newbie. Help is appreciated Hi, I'm planning on creating a feature on a website where viewers can subscribe to a newsletter. Does anyone have any tutorials that can help with this? I've never dealt with that before and I know some hosting services offer mailing lists, but I was wanting some information on how you actually go about putting the code onto the site so people can enter their e-mail in a form and hit "subscribe" and receive the e-mails. Thank you Ok So I was a little premature in adding to my previous post the the form was now working in IE. I've written 2 forms, the first was a very basic general feedback form, asking the user to rate the site as Excellent, Good or Poor, together with a comments field. This is a relaunch of a site than ran into a little disuse and became out of date. (Once the site is live I'll think about adding the details into a topic on this site for you all to see.) The second was as my first post (form redirect) listed. Both were using the method="post" but I'd read that you didn't need this if you were using 'mailto' tag so I removed it. Now it adds the email recipients but removes the email subject and doesn't add the responses into the body of the email. Further reading indicated that for very basic forms the method="get" is better so I changed it. This stopped it working in Chrome. Can't win! Leaving the method out.............still no joy. Hey ho. Will probably get the site host to use Perl (or whatever other they use for other sites they have developed). Benefits? No more headaches for me. Less chance of spammers. Hopefully better security and more likelihood of people using the form as they wouidn't need to give their email address if they didn't want to. And, hopefully, some chance of being able to filter out those inapproriate responses some people like to submit with these forms. Hi, I am using an email newsletter system, wherein I can create HTML templates and then send mails. I would like to know in the email that I send, I need the html to pick up some dynamic content from another website and when the email is being displayed, it needs to show that dynamic content I could have used iframe in the html template - but that would work on websites, but not on emails. Is there a way anyone can suggest wherein I can achieve this? Thanks hi im new to this site and was wondering if anyone could help me. i need to built a html page that will be sent out to clients. it will have some writing on it and at the end will have three buttons or check boxes. when a client click on button or check box an email will be sent back tell us what he chose. any one any ideas how to do this Hey everybody hope all has been well over the festive period and you havent ate to much this is my holding page at the moment... www.basicproduction.co.uk and i want to remove the email address in the bottom corner and replace it with a contact button that when you click it will prompt outlook or whatever you use for email and you can email me from that. im having some difficulty trying to make the image i have into a button, this is the code that i have so far and i just cant seem to find what i need to get the results that i want. Thanks Basic Hi, I want to ask is there any way to send email form html?? like php mail() is there something in php. Or sending by smtp???? Hey, I'm looking for a way to get a form to send an email to one or more recipients when someone hits the Submit button. I've seen the mailto angle, but I'm looking for the form to do the work itself, and don't want the mail app launched on the user's machine. Is this something I'd have to play with servlets and the like for, or is there some way to do it with javascript, html, whatever? Hello, I remember something like this, which is you have an xhtml form, you have textboxes, buttons etc, then the user clicks on the submit button triggers the sendform feature element and sends it to the email address specified. How do you do that in html? i remember it was like send form, then the email address etc etc and anything between the send form tag is where it will email anything in the text box fields. if you can send me an example that would be great.
