HTML - Html List / Positining Help

I am coding a page in strait HTML. It was going fine until I put in a list. When I put the list in, it wont show, just caused a large area of blank space. Below is the code I used for the list. Let me know if you need the whole page. I am new to this and would greatly appreciate any help you can give.

any1 knows how to add and remove data into/from html list at runtime

having a bunch of jpeg images, i need to create a html table listing all the jpegs in a folder, like

<td><img src="image2"></td>
<td><img src="image3"></td>

is there a small software or script so i could do it?
finally i want to have something that looks like this:

I have a task that I need help with...

I have been tasked to build a simple HTML page with a list of Hyperlinks that represent the files within a specific folder.

The page must be HTML.
The folder name will be hard coded.
Show file names, extentions optional.
Links will not be pages
Links will be files (mostly PDF)

I would like to have a "User" or "Memebers Only" section on our website. What differs from other HTML code that I have been able to find is that what we would like to do is from our login page have have a specific page come up depending on the "User Name" and "Password". We DO NOT want to have a list of other users to be shown though, we have found a code that has a list to select from but this shows other users. Can anyone assist?

I have a big list and I want to show on my webpage 6lines from that list randomly (when webpage is refreshed another 6 lines appear). can anyone help me with he code, how should the list look like so it works...or where can I find more info on this ?

I am making a website with a list inside list for my navigation bar. It looks good on safari(win/mac) and firefox but the list looks horrible in IE7.0(didnt check 6.0)

Hello,

I ran into this problem today in my Basic XHTML class, and it was enough to stump me and the instructor: if you want to put an unordered list in the middle of a page, but you want the list items to be left-aligned so the bullets are one on top of the other...how do you do it?

I started with code something like

This centers the list on the page, but it also centers each list item. I tried placing a <div align="left"> around the list items, individually and collectively, but depending on the positioning it either had no effect or it nullified the center attribute completely and gave me a left-aligned list on the left edge of the page. Attempts to change the style of the <li> tag, which I haven't done in months and was never all that good at, failed.

I know I can do this in ten seconds by putting the list inside a one-cell table, and with much fiddling I could probably do it with a spacer GIF...but what's the 1.0 Strict way?

My html problem keeps failling, with all my image codes.. shown for 10 errors which are all for the images what's wrong? Here is the code:

I just upgraded all my .HTML pages to .PHP . But now I noticed that when my pages pull up in the search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. They still show the old .HTML links?? When they click on the webpages from the search engines results you get error 404 page cannot be found.

How can I update the search engines or add code to my page so the search engines will reflect the new .PHP pages. Also it's been over a good week since I've update to .PHP

I need to display all the names in the list box. So using select tag i have done this. When the data exceeds the scroll bar will be displayed. But the scrollbar stands in top and shows the top data. Instead i need to display the bottom data that is the scroll bar should be always down and when the user needs the top then they can scroll and see it.
Can you please give me suggestions to be done like this.

List boxes and Text boxes

Hi, so I'm trying to make this e-mail newsletter. It's entirely images, tables and text. So no javascript, just plain stuff. I tried attaching it as a signiture file and I had trouble sending it. It also didn't come out right.

I'm trying to avoid using a software. Its basically just a block of HTML I need to show up as the only content in an email. If you just put HTML into a email text field, it just shows the HTML code in the email as text. Any ideas?

I've been searching around the web trying to find out how I can send using Outlook a html and text email newsletter automatically.

I am quite happy creating html only newsletters, and text ones for that matter, but I have been digging and believe that by using multi-part code I can send to both and the recipients email client "allows" whichever version to be displayed - does this sound right?

I'm hoping to simply create the html with the relevent mime references and boundaries (dont know what they are but have seen them on enough Google'd pages to know that they mean something!) and then copy and paste into Outlook - the newsletter is only going out to a few people at a time.

Any suggestions or advice would be very greatly appreciated.
