HTML - Videos Not Displaying On My Blog With My New Theme
Hey guys! So I've tried a couple themes for my blog on Tumblr.com and both themes I tried had "endless scrolling" and for some reason my videos are not displaying on these themes! In place of the videos it says "Flash player required"
(The videos are uploaded with Tumblr's video uploader, the few videos I have from Vimeo show up, but they do not fit the layout properly) Is there anything I can do? I can send anybody the HTML if you think you can help! (It's really long / I'm not sure if it will paste here) I can also send you the link to my blog! Similar TutorialsBasically, I have created this theme http://rmlewisuk.tumblr.com which works fine on a blog with many posts, but when I install the theme on a blog with no posts, only the header shows. The sidebar and footer do not. Here is the code: HTML Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; Thanks in advance. Hello everyone, I am trying to put a title in italics in a static page of my Tumblr blog, but Italics are not showing in Chrome or Mozilla. They do show in IE. When I save the text with <i> tags, they revert back to <em> automatically, and that doesn't seem to be triggering itals in the two browsers besides IE. Is there anything I could add to the theme code to make the <i> tags stick or to trigger itals in some way? The page in question is: http://stevenniles.tumblr.com/music I would like to italicize the words: L'Isle Joyeuse Thank you very much! Steven Hi I am new to this site, I am having problem in my non blog site. I was trying to integrate wordpress blog in my non blog site. I am nearly done only few issues. Here is the site http://www.zipanatomy.com/blog/ 1. the post titles are coming some other way, without linking and some coding. 2. down to the footer, I have called a footer.php file which is from the non blog site and is in the root directory, the problem here is, they are linking to the wordpress log folder. 3. And one more issue is when I click the categories and do any search from the sidebar, that are opening on the extreme right of the page instead of in center. please, advices from the pros where I am getting wrong. thanks in advance, chander Hi I've built a website for my karaoke show, and would like to add a blog page to the site. Rather than 3rd party, I'd prefer to have my own blog on my own domain to increase traffic for the SE crawlers. I was wondering... - what some good options are ie what blog software to use - if I can have a blog that somehow incorporates Facebook and Twitter (i've seen Facebook connect, but I'd like something that posts my blog messages to my Facebook and Twitter pages) I currently have a Typepad blog on there, but as I said, I'd prefer to have my own blog code, not third party. The site is www.billygoatkaraoke.com.au , and I'd really like the blog to stay on the site - I'm thinking that I'll have a blog page open up over the goat when someone clicks on the BLOG link. Cheers Shaun Im doing a website and have some videos up. I want to be able to have pictures of all the available videos and when the user clicks one of them I want that video to load right next to all the pictures. I remember Google videos had something like this, when you clicked the video you wanted it loaded the video in that page without getting rid of the pictures of all the videos, but they don't have that option anymore. This is the website im doing. http://eyeamchito.fileave.com/videos.html Thanks in advance if I got you confused let me know. Hey whatsup? I am working on a wrestling site ( www.bballcentral.com/stkf ). ANyways, im trying to get videos up onto the site? How do i do that and what sthe best ways? I'm trying to make it possible to download a couple of MP4 videos off of the website I'm working on. I'm using the following code, which I'm pretty sure should work, because when I switch the video name to the .WMV version it works with no problem. The links also work fine when I open the .htm with Firefox or IE, they just fail when they're hosted and online. <a href="Path to the video on my computer"><img src="Path to the image on my computer" alt="GR Magic Download"></a> Does anyone know what is wrong and how I can fix it? The videos don't have to be playable (but it would be nice), they just need to be able to be downloaded. Thanks! Hey guys I'm trying to get Quicktime videos to play on my website using Internet Explorer. In IE it shows nothing...not even the infomation .jpg image next to it. Help pls! what is the best way to play videos in an html page?? i need to play videos in my site... what is the fastest way to play videos in a normal speed (not slowly) Hey, I'm wanting to know how to place videos on a webpage that are personal to the website, in other words.. not a YouTube video. Like this for instance: http://www.stomperblog.com/darrin-mi...al-case-study/ How can i set up a video like this on a website? Do i need a certain program? Thanks! Hey! I've recently transfered my blog over to wordpress.org (from wordpress.com) and now have the ability to alter my template, but i need some help with a few things! The current widgets i have up i believe came across with the back up copy of my original blog, but they aren't mentioned within 'widgets' in my dashboard. I added a mailing list and I'm wanting it to appear under the search bar, i presume to do this i will need to alter the code, but i can't find where to edit the code as i added the mailing list box as a widget, and it hasn't seemed to appear within the code where all the other current widgets i have are displayed. Does anyone know how i can move the mailing list up higher?? Also, I'm wanting to create a 'home' page which directs back to the home page of my blog. I had this set-up on my previous blog where i set the title to the url. But i removed it as with the new template it directed to a new page, called home. I'm wondering if someone knows how i can set up a page that directs to the home page of my blog? And also, if it's possible to place the page at the front of my other pages. Ie. "Home : About : Recommended Reading". And not "About : Recommended Reading : Home". ? And one last thing! I'm wanting to add a Google search tool to the current search bar that's on my blog. I would like it to look the same, if thats possible(?) but have the option of searching my blog, or the web along with a small Google banner at the bottom. I'm unsure where i should add this code, as within the theme editor i have a section titled "search results" which is a fairly long php code, and i also have a small section within the "sidebar" section which says: <!-- Search --> <div id="sidebar-search"> <form method="get" id="searchform" action="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/"> <input type="text" value="<?php the_search_query(); ?>" name="s" id="s" /> <input type="submit" id="searchsubmit" value="" /> </form> </div> <!-- /Search --> Should i add the Google html code to that part? Or will i need to change the php code as well for it to work? Appreciate any help! www.nikkisblogspot.com My wordpress theme that I am currently using is not widget aware. I suck really bad with html. I know this requires messing with the sidebar info, I read a couple tutorials on it, but its all over my head. Can anybody help?
