HTML - Switch Places In Ready Template
Similar TutorialsHi guys, I know how to make a mobile site. I know how to make a desktop site. However, how do i setup a desktop site to automatically redirect to a sub folder if viewed on a mobile. This is a great example but looking at the source code i just cant work it out: http://bluebells-restaurant.co.uk/ and http://bluebells-restaurant.co.uk/m Thank in advance guys. Myself and my co-worker have been staring and digging at this for a week. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate any feedback. http://rwshome.com/mega/index.html You will see in every browser the top nav and right side nav CSS image rollovers function just LOVELY. Butttttt...in IE6, they do not work at all. I have combed the code about 50 times. I cannot figure out why it isn't working. We are at our witts end on this issue, so I figured I would register and see if anyone here could shed some light. On an even better note, we have this same CSS rollover code on about 60 other webites and it works fine in IE6. Weeeeeeeee! Sometimes, a pair of fresh eyes just helps and it's something simple. I hope that is the case. Thanks Pete I need to know what the common practice is to open a printable page in a new window after a link is clicked. Something that you can print from the page or from the browser. Normally I would just open in a blank target but the window doesn't open up tight to the printable media. Any help would be great. Thanks! how can i have the actual website in a column in the midle of the page, and have a background around it? and have a rolover image change. Hey not even sure if this can be done with html or if i need to use something else but basically i want to make the thumbnails appear where the main image is when they are clicked on instead of opening a new tab like i have it set now. http://whatashirt.com/shirts/swearing_is_caring.html just want stuff under the more photos to appear where the main image is when clicked on Thanks Hey all, I still consider myself a novice in html and especially CSS. I know basic, basic html like how to write paragraphs and line breaks and embed videos and write meta tags. I know virtually no CSS However, I would like to learn more advanced techniques. Any suggestions for straightforward sites or videos or programs that I can look up? I have been looking at w3schools.com a little bit and I use notepad++ for an editor. Anyway, any suggestions would be awesomely appreciated. Thanks guys! Hi I have just spent hours and hours trying to fix my problem. I've copied code here there and everywhere but nothing working. If someone can help me I will be so grateful. My biggest concern is for you to please be very specific as to whether your code goes in the head or body or legs.....oooooops.........sorry...lol I have a web page which I will give you so you will see what I am talking about coz I don't explain the same way as you nice people. http://www.teamkiwi.890m.com/tk/calculator9999999.html On that page if you scroll down to start you will see 'rubbish' basically but NO numbers. Now if you go to the yellow box near the top you can type 25.7 (I know that one does the problem) and a million figures will appear. The figures you see are either correct or I know what the problem is if they are not. You will see that some have no decimal places, some have about 10 decimal places. How can I make the LAST TWO columns in the table, and ALL the figures above the table round to two decimal places all the time regardless of whether they are whole numbers or part numbers. Yeah I know, I guess I am still struggling to explain it right but maybe someone will bear with me here. I will post code if you want but there are a million lines to the page and thought that maybe you could just right click the we bpage and view the source to start with and see what you think. From stuff I have done, I am sure that I made the table, then entered the code for the calculation, which ended up putting the result in a text box. Hope thats right. Anyways, anyone who can help me will be so much appreciated. Cheers Dai Firstly, please forgive me for explaining this poorly or if it isn't even a matter of html. I want to make a very simple on/off switch to put on my site which any visitor can click on or off. Just some visual representation of on or off - a lightswitch, a red and green button, etc. It'll have no other function than being on or off. I know how to build an image that would do this. What I don't know is how to make it reflect the true on or off position that somebody most recently switched it to. As I know how to build it, it would simply load to its default position as the visitor's page loads. I want people to be able to visit and see that the light is either on or off. If this makes sense to anyone, any suggestions how I might do it? Thanks! How do I switch between iframes within a page? Example: link1 | link2 | link3 |----------------------| |----------------------| |-------iframe--------| |----------------------| |----------------------| I want the iframe to chage when I click the different links, is this possible? Looking for the cleanest way to enable the following: I have 2 forms on 1 page. The user has to choose which one is best for them. Upon selection(based on product they purchased) they then get the approriate form. I have the forms built, but Im not sure on the best route for the switch. DHTML? Thanks, Mac I found this script that I found very interesting and would probably be very helpful to me, but I have little idea on how to use it. Could someone break it down for me and explain how I can use it on my website? The code can be found here the 8th post down by Bill Posters. Thank you very much. I'm brand new to writing script but my boss wants me to make this work. In the main image the water tank, pump manifold and the small pump above the tank should change into the different image when mouseovered. This is what I've come up with. ------------------------ <html> <head> <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascript"> <!--PRELOAD IMAGES> Original = new Image(800,542) Original.src = "http://fulfordsupply.com/frameset/images/BoilerRoom/Original.jpg.) Tank = new Image(800,542) Tank.src = "http://fulfordsupply.com/frameset/images/BoilerRoom/Tank.jpg" Pump = new Image(800,542) Pump.src = "http://fulfordsupply.com/frameset/images/BoilerRoom/Pump.jpg" Station = new Image(800,542) Station.src = "http://fulfordsupply.com/frameset/images/BoilerRoom/Station.jpg" </script> </head> <IMG NAME="Original" SRC="http://fulfordsupply.com/frameset/images/BoilerRoom/Original.jpg" USEMAP="#BoilerRoom"> <script language = javascript> <!--FUNCTIONS> <script language="javascript"> function zoomtank() { document.Original.src = Tank.src; return true; } function zoompumpstation() { document.Original.src = Station.src; return true; } function zoompump() { document.Original.src = Pump.src; return true; } function original() { document.Original.src = Original.src; return true; } </script> <!--THE MAP> <MAP NAME="BoilerRoom"> <AREA SHAPE="rect" ALT="Tank" COORDS="545,200,745,500" HREF=tank.jpg onMouseOver="zoomtank()" on MouseOut="original()"> <AREA SHAPE="rect" ALT="PumpStation" COORDS="258,207,370,345" HREF="Station.jpg" onMouseOver="zoompumpstation()" on MouseOut="original()"> <AREA SHAPE="rect" ALT="Pump" COORDS= "710,55,780,130" HREF="pump.jpg" onMouseOver="zoompump()" on MouseOut="original()"> </MAP> </html> ------------------ I've tried running it through the tryit editor @ http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit....=tryhtml_basic but all i'm getting is the main image. The maps all work and i'm gonna fix the links eventually but I cannot for the life of me get my commands to work. I've been working on this is 9am (its 530 here now) so this is the last avenue I can think of for help. If someone could give me a helping hand I'd really appreciate it! Ello I'm a complete newb so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place guys. Could anybody out there help me make a field / box like the one on this site. http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Acer_...62/version.asp Below the laptop is a large field, if you click things like "technical specification" etc, it changes only that field. Then if you press the back button it backs up to the last page, rather than the last configuration of the current page. Phew.. confusing myself now lol. Anyhoo, just want to know how I would make such a box, with tabs that change that box only? Thanx Sarah I'm trying to make a template for e-bay using Dreamweaver. When I use CSS, it applies everything to the whole auction, so even the e-bay things have the font as orange. I went in and changed everything to html and things look better, but I'm having a problem with the border around my images. I would like it to be the color in the background instead of black. Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about. http://s132.photobucket.com/albums/q...screenshot.jpg Here is the code I currently have: <img src="http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q14/littlestinkerstore/SSTemplate/ssimagej.jpg" width="288" height="288" border="9"></p> <p align="center"> </p> <p align="center"><img src="http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q14/littlestinkerstore/SSTemplate/ssdescriptionj.jpg" width="450" height="225" border="2"></p> What I would REALLY like is a border around the image that is another image, a pattern used in the background, but I will be happy with a color that matches!! Thanks! I have an older template that has a stylesheet and iframes.html I am wanting to put this into it and just havent had any luck. <!-- MLCALC BEGIN --> <script type="text/javascript"><!-- mlcalc_default_calculator = 'loan'; mlcalc_currency_code = 'usd'; mlcalc_amortization = 'year_nc'; //--></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.mlcalc.com/jquery.js"></script><div style="font-weight:normal;font-size:9px;font-family:Tahoma;padding:0;margin:0;border:0;background:transparent;color:#E5E5E5;width:300px;text-align:right;padding-right:10px;" id="mlcalcWidgetHolder"><script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.mlcalc.com/widget-wide.js"></script>Powered by <a href="http://www.mlcalc.com/" style="color:#E5E5E5;text-decoration:none">Mortgage Calculator</a></div> <!-- MLCALC END --> I have been able to muddle it into the page but get script error. I am sure I need to provide more information. The tables on the page are just to confusing for me to work this in. Just thought I would start off with the problem. Wasnt sure what forum to put this in either thanks in advance for any input. Hi, this may not be even a HTML question but... I was wondering if there was a way to create some kind of website template, so if I wanted to add a banner or something to a page I don't have to go into each individual html file and put it in. Something like a css that everything references to and making a change in that changes all. THX. Well okay it's me again. I'm making another template. How do I get this: Image To look like this: Image And then let me add text? Codes: Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>Apateezer - Home</title> <link rel=stylesheet href="style.css" type="text/css" media=screen> </head> <body> <div id="page"> <div id="Header"> </div> <div id="linkbar"> <div id="page"> <p>test</p> </div> <div id="footer"> <p>Copyright (c) 2008 Apateezer.com <br/> All Rights Reserved.</p> </div> </div> </body> </html> Code: body { background-color:#000000; margin:0; padding:0; text-align:center; font-family:Trebuchet MS Bold; font-size:16px; color:#ffffff; } #page { width:960px; margin:auto; padding:auto; background-image:url(images/page.png); text-align:center; } #header { width:780px; height:123px; background-image:url(images/header.png); clear:both; } #linkbar { width:780px; height:66px; background-image:url(images/linkbar.png); clear:both; } #footer { width:780px; height:51px; background-image:url(images/footer.png); clear:both; } PLease help. Hi guys.I have very little html experience so I decided to work from a template. Problem is, I didn't even know how to add some of the simple stuff. I was able to figure out how to add: a) the background b) the main header(banner) and c) a few normal pictures I have no idea however how to add the: sidebar, menubar (where about us, etc is), or the footer. I don't know where the programming for them starts or how to add so that the show up. In the following post I'll add my website name and code: Hi, total newbie to website design and I need help in getting rid of a template. I think for now all i want is to go to cPanel, then right to a HTML editor, but every choice seems to leave me with some sort of forced template. I just switched from Sitebuilder to RVsitebuilder and was a little happier with the 'build your own' template... but still there is a template. I want to learn to design my own header, not have some preset thing.... Should I just keep messing with different builders? Try wordpress? (it's Not like i can ruin anything, there is no content up yet to worry about overwriting) Hoping someone feels like answering this tonight |
