HTML - Help With Header Adjustment Phpprobid
Hey all!
I'm stuck in the world of coding This bidding software package comes with a few skin but all of them have a limited size for the header. I'm currently trying to change it. Instead of this (original header of the skin): http://www.probidtest.x10.mx/probidtest/v604/ I want a header that goes all the way from left to right in all resolutions. Replacing the probid logo with a bigger image, is not a solution! Depending on the set resolution of the computer the header will show up differently and sometimes not reach the right end. Inspiring myself from the code of this page: http://www.horror-mall.com/auction_house/ I have managed to do the following: http://www.probidtest.x10.mx/probidtest/v605/ However the site margins have been distorted by the coding change in the header.tpl.php file. If you login to the members area (user: test ; pass: 1234) and click in the main menu on members area, the site now expands in this section. What can I do? Any approach that gives results will do. From what I have heard, the circumstance that the site is build on tables is a big problem. Hope there is a genius around Similar TutorialsFirstly, can I just say I'm a new poster and hope this is in the right place. Also, when reading the problem please keep in mind everything I know about html java etc is self taught so I'm sure there are giant gaps in my knowledge of the subject. I'm trying to create a scrolling vertical typwriter code. The important features a - Must scroll vertically - Text must appear 1 letter at a time - When a line has been typed it must scroll up 1 line space to allow the next line to be typed - When the box is full of typed lines, the box must stay focused on the bottom. For instance, I've found elsewhere on the web something similar but each line appears and when the box is full of typed lines, it stays fixed on the top. Despite a scrollbar coming up on the side. This isn't much use as I want the user to see the most recently typed line not the 1st lines. Again, I've found elsewhere one that does all this except it extends the size of the box instead of scrolling. I have got 2 versions so far but neither match what I want entirely and I'm struggling to get them that last bit. http://www.freewebs.com/football_aca...lantaradio.htm The 1st one (green box) is good except when the box is full it clears and continues in a fresh box. I want it to scroll as said above, not to do this. This is java script I got and edited from elsewhere. The 2nd one is the grey box at the bottom and is one I've written in html code myself after reading up on various things. This isn't typewriter and doesn't jump up a line at a time. It is a smooth continuous scroll that I've added pauses to to simulate jumping each line. This one is in fact the old one I'm trying to replace because if you watch it long enough, it starts jumping half lines instead. Can anyone help? Or am I a lost cause? Hello Everyone, I would like to make our website wider but I can't seem to find where to do it. Currently our site is around 760 pixels wide. I would like to make it around 900 pixels Here is our URL http://www.normanlamps.com In the index page all the tables are set to 100% page width so I assume it wouldn't be an adjustment there. Could it be in the Header? or could some CSS code be determining the width? I appreciate any help Hey, im trying to find out why the header on my website isnt at the top of the page. it also moves sometimes even though the code appears to be all the same. the address is www.themonsterbox.com thanks in advance for any help. Hey guys just need a little help in getting a google adsense ad in the top right hand side of my website next to the header image.. Help is much appreciated thanks. My site http://www.prized4you.com Thanks in advanced Hi guys, I've done design work before, but the website I just finished is my first stab at doing html & css by myself and I just have one problem that isn't working. There is a gap a few pixels high between the top images in my header and the bottom of the header where the navigation is. This gap doesn't appear in Firefox or Safari, only IE. Does anyone know how to fix this. The site can be seen on my company's test server at www.worthy-llc.com/pfpk. Thanks so much, it's a charity site and I want to make sure it gets done correctly. Brendan hi, when i open web in internet explorer i see web without header and footer. then open with firefox i see web without header but i see footer. How to fix this problem and then i open web with every explorer i can see good web. sorry for english language. web url is www.xxlpramogos.lt Hi people. hope everyones ok http://www.airportcarhireliverpool.co.uk/ is my website and it looks fine on firefox but when i go to IE the nav is too low. i really dont know why and its doing my head in. also when we use ie 7 it re-directs to youtube? whattttttt? lol please help me!!! Thanks!! hi, guys new here and to html. i am writing my code as,
Drums
, for example, now my trainer wants it in a span class so i can change the font and color etc, what is the next step to take? Thanks to Coothead over here I got what I wanted. Unfortunately the web is so .. how do you say it... polluted... that sometimes it is really hard to find what you want, not to say impossible. So I got: HTML Code:

driekleur pagina

But how do you create a header? Lets say about 3 inches in height. And in the color black. I tried to do it but I failed. Anyone? I'm making a website that has a flash header that serves as a menu bar. I use the exact same flash header on each page in this site. Is there a way to code this so the flash header doesn't have to 'reload' each time you move to another page within the site? I'd know how to do it using iFrames, but I'd rather not use that on this site. Is there another way? It just seems useless for this flash to reload on each page you move to in the site. Cache makes things so that the reload time is super quick, but I'd like it to not have to reload at all, if possible. Maybe this is a JavaScript thing? I don't know. So, if this thread isn't place appropriately, I apologize. Anyhow, thanks in advance for any advice or help. I'm having problems trying to create a header bar for my site. Basically I want something like the blue bar at the top at http://m.digg.com/ Essentially a bar that goes across the top of my site with a background color of my choice and my logo in the center of it. How would I go about doing this? Okay prepare for whats probably a real dumbass question, but how do you create a website where you have a header that never changes, only the body of it changes to correspond with the users selections made from the header. I can do this with frames but I don't like this and want to learn other ways. Thanks in advance Im hoping to put a animated picture on top of a header, but not sure how... All help appreciated Heres some of my code:

Faed's Money Making Guide 2009

Main

Introduction

Agility

Construction

Cooking

Crafting

Farming

Fletching

Fishing

Firemaking

Herblore

Hunter

Magic

Mining

Prayer

Ranging

RuneCrafting

Slayer

Smithing

Summoning

Theiving

Woodcutting

my header is in line with the background on IE but not FF / OPERA etc.. what can i do to solve this? www.anastaciadreams.com Hey everyone, hope your having a good a day! My header on my wordpress blog is appearing twice and I don't know why. It's fine on my homepage but on the other two pages, it appears twice! I would love some help with this but would prefer to PM my blog address if that's ok with you? Thank you, I really appreciate this because I'm a COMPLETE newbie and have no idea about html ect. Thanks again! Steve I am trying to make some code (see attachment) to look exactly like this page http://www.ultrapurecleanse.com/index.php. The attached code is the same as the source code of the URL, but it is not coming out the same in my html editor. There must be a way. For example, I am having difficulty getting the header to show up and the 5 bullet points on the top left to appear right on top of the big gray arrow as they should. Any help is really appreciated. Andrew I am wanting to get the header image div to go to resize based off of the window and go to the edges of the browser and be at the top with no space. No matter what I do the image won't resize and the image appears to have a border even though I do not have one set. :wtf: here is a link http://www.deejayoctane.com/dev/ any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys! 8) hi..hopefully someone here will know a solution to my problem. i have made a page with a flash logo in the header section. now in ie7/firefox the page looks just about right. however in ie6 the flash logo appears above my page instead of where it should be. now i realize this may be because of how i have implemented the flash file. but i cant seem to figure it out..no matter what i do. i know i have some errors to correct in my code but none seem to be related to this specific problem. the problem is easy to see by comparing ie6 to ie7 if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. the site in question is www.nwotradingcards.com thanks for your help On my website www.fresh-lobster.co.uk my footer displays 3 lists with various links, in a horizontal line (ul is floated left in the css). But the way i created the list headers was to put a the list header within an LI so it would format (margin etc) with the rest of the list. ul li --list header-- /li li --list item -- /li li --list item -- /li /ul But when viewing in non-css mode, it displays a disc like any other element in an LI. I tried using the LH (which is included in html3)... ul lh --list header-- /lh li --list item -- /li li --list item -- /li /ul But IE doesnt like it (even though Opera does). Is the LH element still functioning? or is there some other way of doing it. Thanks Hello HTML experts. I need someone's help urgently. I am trying to obtain the header & footer html of my site. I know I'm supposed to go to VIEW SOURCE and whatnot....but then when I get there I get stuck as I do not understand this html stuff........ Please help me...... My site is dishnetworkoffers.net |
