HTML - Compressing Html Index
Hello, I am new here.
I am using a blogging system that limited size for index.html, and it does not support php, and my Index size remaining is going to be finished and then, I can not do any changes in my Index.html . I am using about 110 subjects in my subjects menu, and it engross about 1 of 4 pieces of the index size. I made a new page and I putted all of subjects codes and it has no problem when I entered them and then, I used iFrame code in my menu bar in index.html and I linked the iframe to the page that contains subs. now, I when visit my blog, I see all of codes they are under iframe does not work anymore, but iframe works and it has no problem in size and code. can you please help me? please remember my blogging system doesn't support php. thanks a lot. Similar TutorialsHi I have an unusal problem. I have a rather large document written in Word that I need to convert to HTML files. I would love to use HTML Help, however I cannot use compressed files, I need to have strictly HTML flat files. I would like to know if anyone has every created help files without using a .CHM file. If so how difficult is it and what are the steps involved. I am in hopes that I can simply create a CSS file and save the document as a HTML file. I have no problem opening the file from a browser but now I would like to make it appear like a help file with bookmarks and maybe even a search feature later down the road. For now I would be extremely happy with bookmarks. Can I go directly into the source and create bookmarks? Or is there more to the help file that is created by CHM files? In my website template There is Heading 1 and a Heading 2 so my question is how do I delete any sections or headings that I don't need to make it go away on my home page. There is so much and I don't think I need all of it..... Thanks in advance Hello! Made this layout mostly with tables. When the window is made smaller than the width the layout was originally intended for, the cells get narrower and taller, making the background image tile itself. Is there a way to stop the tables from resizing themselves when the window is made less wide? I have copied bits of the code from various places on my forum but i cant seem to get it right. Any help? Thanks Jake I have a web page, index.html. In IE it renders as I expect in terms of size of elements. It renders elements smaller in Firefox if called index.html but If I rename it to index 2.html it renders correctly in firefox. I feel like a moron for not being able to figure this out on my own, but here goes: How do I create a link from my subdirectory index.html page to the one in my root folder? Any help is much appreciated. I have some subdirectories on a site and when I go to website.com/directory all I see is a blank page, but going to website.com/directory/index.html works just fine. I DID previously have redirects on those directories (not sure if I made them temporary or permanent) and this must be the culprit because when I create new directories, they work just fine. It shows what appears to be the same page as the index, but it does not show up in the address bar. I have made edits to the index page and they are not reflected in the homepage. Why is this, and how can I change it? Now the Blue E icon for my index.html has changed. I can still open it by choosing open with Internet Explorer. This is driving me nuts does anyone know how to get the Icon back. I am running WindowsXP. I do hope my post is clearer than mud is Hello, I've some html files i will write to a cd to enable local browsing of the files. How can i force autohtml.exe to open index.html in Internet Explorer exclusively- not in other browsers? I think only such would allow photos to be viewed in an explorer window- as in viewing the file "X:/stuff/Gallery" in explorer - as opposed to in a browser window which provides only a view of each picture per click and not the whole photo gallery with more navigation flexibility etc. Ive tried opening in Firefox and Chrome but they dont allow (convenient)opening of local folders for security reasons. Any prompt help will be much appreciated:D Stef Hi, I've decided to use subdirectories and index.html files to present my all my web pages (www.website.com/about, with a index.html file within the about folder). But I am finding it difficult to view my website locally when editing, as I open it in either firefox, safari, opera and every time time I hit a link it doesn't direct me to the index.html file, but instead shows me every file located within the directory. Is there anyway round this, as I am having to upload every page to view the changes I make to it. For example, do you know of any extensions or different web browsers that don't do this?
