HTML - Text Dissapear Code
I have an ip verification code here and i need to make the txt disappear or at least make their browser refresh so they can access the site.
here is a bit of the code http://screencast.com/t/VYQveMr8P Similar TutorialsI have a website where I want to make a drop down menu that will bring you to different pages. It is a very basic, sort of old-fashioned website that relies entirely on html. What I'm trying to do is make a drop-down menu that will be used as navigation for a section of a website and I want to have it in each internally linked page in that section, but I'm going to be adding more pages to it over time so I want to be able to put the drop-down menu code in a separate text file and then substitute it into the pages that I make that the options in the menu link to and then just edit the code in the text file when I add another page so that I don't have to go back and edit the code every single individual page whenever I add a new one among them. Basically all I'm asking is how I can put html code in a text file and then substitute that code into an html page by referring to the file. Thanks in advance for any help. How do you display code as text on the page, rather than running it? Like you do here in between [*code][*/code] tags. Thanks. Hello! I recently started a blog on the weebly website and I want to convert it over to wordpress. The only problem is that wordpress does not allow javascript, so I was wondering if there is a way to generate an html code without javascript that allows the user to click a button to drop down text. I have a custom script on my current site: http://www.resourceblog.weebly.com It's the short ride button and it allows the user to click on the button in order to drop down a summary of the blog article. Here is the script: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <meta name="language" content="english"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Style-Type" content="text/css"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Script-Type" content="text/javascript"> <title>Bad Rep</title> <style type="text/css"> #bad { font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:12px; color:#ff6600; } #rep { cursor:pointer; } .hidden { display:none; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function init(){ var obj=document.getElementById('bad'); obj.className='hidden'; document.getElementById('rep').onclick=function() { obj.className=obj.className=='hidden'?'':'hidden'; } } window.addEventListener? window.addEventListener('load',init, false): window.attachEvent('onload',init); </script> <div> <img id="rep" src="http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h365/ResourceMJS/shortride-2.jpg" alt="photobucket"> </div> <ul id="bad"> <li>Recruiters often get a bad reputation because many people do not understand what they do.</li> <li>It is up to the recruiter to build the trust of the candidate by being honest and genuine.</li> <li>Follow up and keep in contact with your candidates so that they continue to hold a strong value in you.</li> </ul> Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the help Hello! I am creating a blog website using Weebly and am trying to insert a code in which an icon at the top of the blog post drops down a hidden bullet list with a summary of what the article is about. I have one that is working, but it has some flaws that I would like to kink out if possible. Here is the code I have: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="Text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <meta name="Content-Script-Type" content="Text/javascript"> <meta name="Content-Style-Type" content="Text/css"> <title>Karma</title> <style type="Text/css"> <!-- .hidden {display:none} --> </style> <div> <img alt="photobucket" onclick="document.getElementById ('karma').className = document.getElementById ('karma').className == 'hidden' ? '' : 'hidden'" src="http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h365/ResourceMJS/shortride.jpg"> </div> <ul id="karma"><font style="font-family:arial;color:#FF9900;font-size:12px;"><li>Be yourself when dealing with candidate conversations.</li> <li>Don't lie about your interests to make the conversation flow.</li> <li>Recruiting sometimes causes one to have to toughen up and have difficult conversations.</li></font></ul> The icon does what it is supposed to when clicked, but it has 2 flaws. 1. It doesn't show as clickable. When you mouse over the icon you still get an arrow key instead of the typical button icon. 2. When the page loads, the summary text is already visible and the button collapses it. I want the text to start off hidden and only appear/disappear when the icon is clicked. Is there anyway to solve these? I am kinda of a novice with HTML and coding, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! (Coffe Cup) I am not experienced in html coding, so please explain things s l o w l y to me I am using an online webpage builder. I'm looking for a way to program the site so that the blog-frame only displays a certain number of words / characters despite the amount of characters in the blog post, before it then interevenes with a "READ MORE" link which will then take the user to the full blog post. Does anybody know if this is possible and do they have any suggestions as to how I could go about this? Thanks, much appreciated. i have one blog www.andhratalkies.co.nr i want to put Register and login buttions with text boxes(signup and signin) and it should be work can any one give me the code and instruct me. plzzz it's urgent thanks MO Does anyone know where I can find some free code for a formatted/enhanced text field (very similar to the one I am typing this into, with the bold/italics/underline options, etc). I have a website where I upload a lot of articles that usually come in Word format, and instead of converting that to html (usually by hand because Word does not convert to xhtml transitional) I would much rather just use an enhanced text field and copy and paste it, then in the background I would have the code that would insert the articles to my database and create the pages and links for them. I just need code for the enhanced form. Everything I have found so far is entire bulletin board systems, which I do not need. Thanks Hi . Here is my script HTML Code: <table width="200" border="0"> <tr> <td><span class="style2"> <input name="button" type="button" onclick="show('Hello')" value="Button 1" /> </span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="style2"> <input name="button22" type="button" onclick="show('Goodbye')" value="Button 2" /> </span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="style2"> <input name="button23" type="button" onclick="show('Good Morning')" value="Button 3" /> </span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="style2"> <input name="button2" type="button" onclick="show('Goodnight')" value="Button 4" /> </span></td> </tr> </table> <p class="style2"> </p> <p class="style2"> <textarea name="textarea" cols="50" rows="10" readonly id="area"> </textarea> In the areas where it says, for example ="show('Goodnight')", how do I add HTML code in the brackets but as normal text? It is probably pretty simple but I am a bit of a noob Thanks Html code for Text Boxes that the user writes down his details and then click to a button and his details comes to an eimail... look an example ... http://www.arkadiko-meli.gr/form.asp?i=2 Hello, I hired contractors to build a site for me. The site's front page has a small section for text, the developers added some placeholder text in this spot. Now that the site is completed, I changed the text as follows: I downloaded the index.php file from my webhost. I changed it to a txt file, then opened in notepad, found the placeholder text, changed it, saved the file, renamed the file back to php, then uploaded to webhost, replacing old index.php file. When I load the page the following error message appears twice at the top of the window: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/XXXX/public_html/index.php:1) in /home/XXXX/public_html/index.php on line 2 Does anyone know what this error indicates ? (I'm not a programmer) I did not save the old index.php file because I didn't think such a minor change would cause problems. The contract with my developer has ended and I don't want to start a new one for this. Any help appreciated. |
