HTML - Shoutbox Code On Forums Code

I have a website where I want to make a drop down menu that will bring you to different pages. It is a very basic, sort of old-fashioned website that relies entirely on html. What I'm trying to do is make a drop-down menu that will be used as navigation for a section of a website and I want to have it in each internally linked page in that section, but I'm going to be adding more pages to it over time so I want to be able to put the drop-down menu code in a separate text file and then substitute it into the pages that I make that the options in the menu link to and then just edit the code in the text file when I add another page so that I don't have to go back and edit the code every single individual page whenever I add a new one among them.

Basically all I'm asking is how I can put html code in a text file and then substitute that code into an html page by referring to the file. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey everyone

I was looking for some help. I am totally new to this but I want to set up a forum of my own. Now I only have a basic understanding of html as in I can use framesets and basic tags.

Can anyone give me a helping hand at getting started, once I have the bear bones I am sure I would pick it up quite quickly.

I have the latest versions of dreamweaver and frontpage but i still only use notepad, shoul I change my ways and use one of these?

basically i really want to learn so any hints or tips would be great.

I want to create text boxs and radio buttons, but i dont want them being submitted to my email. I would like the answers to the fields to be transferred to the bottom of the page or a different page. can any one tell me how to do this or read where to? i can only find info for submitting it to my email.

OK here's my prob, I made a role-play website using html where I have members who joined the site, before I went public a few friends joined to help me test my site out, so I made a forum so we can all chat but the problem is all my members have to resign up to chat in the forums (Very Annoying). So I need to know is there a way to link my forums to my website so that all my main site members stay in the forums part of the site so that they only have to sign up once (does that make any sense?).
If you have any tips or info let me know I'll be very grateful for all your help.

I'm about four days into doing various tutorials I have found online. I'm trying to do a website for my business. I'm not even remotely close to getting to the point of what my question is about but I would like to design my site so that I could integrate this later. Please excuse me if this isn't in the correct place or I ask using the wrong terms. Here's my question: Is there a cover flow (like iTunes) code, script or whatever it would be that I could use on my site for visitors to view pictures of projects I have completed?

I wanna make forums but dont want it to be external and want it to be part of my html page with same header and foooter.

I DONT WANT IT TO CHANGE HEADER OF FOOOTER oF FORUMS.

In other words I mean my forums to be integrated in html or when I click link on my html website in the same page the forums come.
