HTML - Over Ride Ie Scroll Event

is there any way to override IE browser's scroll event? my Aim is to scroll a Div on scroll of browser scroll. i can use the following code but before i scroll the div the whole webpage's body is getting scrolled. where i need to scroll particular div "myDiv" window.onscroll = window_onscroll; function window_onscroll(){ document.getElementById("myDiv").scrollLeft =document.body.scrollLeft; } Thanks R Similar TutorialsI have a long list (say, 10,000) to be populated in the html select (Multiple with size, say 10 visible at a time) control. I don't want to populate all the items initially. Hence, Initially, I will load top 100 items and whenever user scrolls down and reaches the bottom of the list (say, after crossing 85th item), I want to populate the next 100 items (101th to 200th). I am using javascript to populate the options. The question is: 1. How to identify that the user is reaching the bottom of the control? I've set up a test site for a project where I have a scrollable table within an iFrame. Techincally, its an iFrame within an iFrame which gets you to a scrollable table I also added an auto-scroll with anchor-links. Everything finally works, but I really want to remove the horizontal-scroll bar that shows up, while keeping the vertical-scroll bar. Best Regards Jens hi i have a large text i want to make it into a scroll bar and i want it to be set up like how i typed it and i really need help on this Ok I have a dive that scrolls and when i scroll it, it goes behind another div, which is what i want , but the problem is i don't want it to apear on the other side of the div but i still want to see the background. so i was wondering if there is a way i can make the scrolling div go behind another div that is invisible or something and make the scrolling div go invisible at this section so you can still see the rest of the scrolling div, but not the part behind the invisble div. if someone knows how to do this or a more simple way, that does not involve changing the size of the scrolling div as i want the scrollbar to be the height of the page. I had the problem of my page shifting to the right whenever it was too long for the window to allow a scroll bar so I added this overflow-y:scroll; to the body information in the css sheet. It works fine in most browsers but I've noticed that with IE7 the scroll appears in the top part of the margin and not on the browser side. It just doesn't look right. Please advise. He wants to put a banner that's linked back to his site, and then underneath a scroll box which contains the code to put the banner in anywhere. The problem is, whenever I try, and I put the code in the scroll box, it shows the banner, instead of the actual code. How can I stop the banner from showing up? A picture at first and when onmouseover it changes to the actual button. I want to call a javascript function when i select a OPTION from the box. onChange=\"javascript:pricecodes(this.form,"+db.getLineItemNo()+"); When i select one option it is working fine. The problem is... In my combo box i have three option A,R,M. At the form load time combo box displays the option A.So if i want to select A then i have to go to some other option either R or M and then come back and select A, then only the javascript function pricecodes is invoked. Currently only the div.onmouseup event is being handled. I am using IE 6. Two things: 1) I thought IE worked by handling the inner elements and working it's way out to the outer elements..... if the bubble property allows of course. 2) How do I get to get both handlers to run (on IE)? Hi, I have been having issues with a scroll bar on my page, and have tried a few different html codes, and have messed with sizing but am not getting the result I want. But I would like the box to be smaller (i've tried making the grid's width smaller, but then the scrollbar doesn't have the pictures side-by-side, but pushes one to the bottom and it creates a vertical scroll bar). I would like it to be so that one picture or one and a half pictures, it doesn't matter, is shown. i want less to be automatically visible. i want it so you just scroll to view the rest, all side by side.
