HTML - Html Help With Visual Aspects..blogger

Hi,

I'm new to this html/xhtml/css, after one or two weeks learning, now I make some simple pages with a text editor, this way I found that I learn more about those things. I'd like to ask those gurus here, what tools they use to create those nice looking sites, visual one or a text editor? which route should I take? Thanks.

i have a drop down list which when activated gets covered by another object on the site, is there anything that can be done to fix this visual order problem....

p.s. the blocking object is an image as well as a form dropdownlist (ddl).

What is wrong with this code...when i create an account which already exists it first says account created and then accout already exists. I want it to just say account already exists.

Does anyone know how to image map using VWD Express 2010?

The help button is next to useless and I couldn't find anything that made sense on Google.

Up until now I've been using Image Ready, but I don't have enough control over the finished image.

have to make iq level test on FWP.
1. First in the form ppl will see do u want to check your iq level..yes or no. include options.
2. if user says no then program will be terminated
3. if user says yes then will be asked that plz log in if already a user..else plz register.
4. if user is already a member thn will be directed to the iq level page.
5. After registration user will be asked for id and password.
6. After the registration IQ test will be shown, if the answer is right thn it will be shown in green color, if its wrong thn red color will be shown.
7. After this users iq level will be shown in %.
8. N those who already took it will also be shown on the page n atlast it will say thx.'.

Not to sure if this is in the correct place to ask such a question, but iv recently down loaded the new version of Visual Studios, and all my projects were on my old laptop which recently died, before it did i managed to copy across all my projects on to a USB pen,

My question is how do i transfer these projects to the newer version as they were built in visual studio 2008 and when i try and open one of them it gives me the option to convert which ideally is what i want to do,

But it wont allow me to do so?

Would it be worth me just installing the version they were orginally on? this is something i dont want to do because i prefer the lapout of the newer version but if it comes to it then i will.

I am working on a website that deals with a form for an electronic check. I pretty much know how to do the code for getting the values, etc, I just do not know how to create the actual forms. I have to create the pages in Visual Studio 2008. Here is what I have to create:






The first image explains what is supposed to be in each field of the form. The second image is what it is supposed to look like after the user inputs information to the form.

And here is what the result is supposed to be after the user clicks the preview button:




So like I said, I know how to do most of the coding, I just have no idea how to manipulate Visual Studio to make the forms look like, or at least similar to, the pictures I posted. I have experience in html and css and some in javascript. So that is not really the issue. I just do not know Visual Studio too well. It seems like there is something easy and/or obvious that I am missing. I played around with VS for several hours earlier and I could not make anything that looked similar the images.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I read that I had to put html banner code inside:

but I don't have that on my html code.

Does anyone know how to do it?

K, i have a blogger page and I'm quite familiar with HTML and a bit of CSS. My site is a blog and a bit of tutorials. Now the problem is, the text editor for blogger is also an html editor (you'd have to use blogger to know what i mean). So when I try to put something like:

<body><p>Hello</p></body>

It will say the "body" tags are not allowed and since it's an HTML editor too it will write "hello". I need to insert a widget right into the blog or something. know i can use screen captures but they take too long.

I have a basic understanding of HTML, and now I have a problem. My blog is on www.wrappedfolds.blogspot.com. I am trying to make my list on my blog navigational rather than just a list. I want all of the designs (the list is after where it says "a list of my designs") to be links to the article that they're posted on. I have read plenty about it, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I'm trying to design a couple blog banners with page tabs such as the one on this site http://hellomaryrebecca.blogspot.com/

but I've googled for hours now and can't figure it out. I can only find info on building simple tabs like this that I have temporarily up now on

Who can tell me how to use it?

I want to write a blog.

I have no formal training in HTML CSS but learned it by reading and trying with some help from W3schools, so sometimes don't know the full implications of things I do. One is editing the Blogger template and my favorite is changing

maxwidgets='1' showaddelement='No'
to
maxwidgets='' next to showaddelement='yes'

which allows any number of widgets to be added. However, I am worried about possible implications like perhaps it cause more resources to be used, longer download time, etc.

Would it be better to change it to
maxwidgets='2' showaddelement='yes'

or is there no difference.
