HTML - Firefox Obscuring My Site!
Hi friends,
I have just "finished" creating http://www.ambertower.co.uk which seems to be up and running just fine in internet explorer. However, when I test the site in firefox it is all going very wrong. Can someone please have a look at the site's HTML for me and let me know where I am going wrong. Thanks very much for your help!! Similar TutorialsWhy is it that this site looks good in most browsers but not Firefox? 'div id=search' and 'div id=mainnav' are not inline with the rest of the site (they are 10px to low). You could add HTML Code: div#search, div#mainnav { margin-top: -10px; } to a Firefox only CSS file or something. I don't think no-one else could do what I just (or a better job for that matter). I just thought I would tell you guys. My web site looks the way it's suppost to in IE, but not in FireFox. Could someone take a look with fresh eyes and let me know what needs to be fixed. I am using an external Style Sheet. All my floats seem to have collapsed. Can anyone point me as to what I may have done wrong? Here is my website Google chrome, IE 7 and 8, and i think Opera all load the images fine. but Firefox (latest version) just does not load all of them. I refresh the page and it loads the ones that did not load before but still has some unloaded. Can some one please explain to me or help me on this? i have been pulling my hair out Thanks for help people, photos should be below. The first one is the Firefox one. Hi, I ran a code validation on my site (www.improvizations.com), it came back with 11 errors. I have a horizontal bar image that has been sliced so it is an iframe. The iframe's source is links.htm (as the horizontal bar is a link bar) so that I can change my site's main links if I have to. Here is an image of what I mean: Let me know if I should add information. Hello, for one site only, IE6 fails to prompt to save password for a Login Form. This is a new site. IE6 *does* prompt for other sites (e.g. amazon.com sign-on) The IE autocomplete settings are set to prompt in the usual way. I've tried clearing all cookies/cache etc. There are no autocomplete disabled/off settings in the page. What is strange is that Firefox does prompt to save password for site for the problematic page, as I would expect IE to. The only thing that's maybe a bit unusual is that the INPUT name="..." in the Form contains unusual chars such as ^ and !. But i wouldnt have though that was a problem (?). Any ideas why the save password prompt is not appearing for this one site? thanks. http://www.mythlabb.com/ IE displays the top logo just fine. Firefox displays it as a broken image. I've replaced the css for the accordion spry panels with deault DW css, no luck. same with the .js file that the accordions use, also no luck.... I would like it to display the redirected site, but if possible keep to the original address.. e.g. A site named www.mysite.com, with an INDEX.HTML to redirect to www.othersite.com, which displays OTHERSITE with www.mysite.com in the address bar. Hope I explained ok, any responce would be much appricated! Thanks! Hello, I am pretty new to the whole html world so forgive me if this is a simple problem. I have look all over for a post explaing this problem but i haven't found anything. I am making a site for a friend using Dreamweaver. I know i know, i regret not coding it from scratch but its too late now. Anyways I have a pretty good page layout going now but I have ran into a problem with loading my images. On my home page an image in a table nested inside another table will load when viewing in safari but seems to disappear in firefox. What is going on? Its a pretty simple piece of code. I place; <img src="Pictures/RDV couplepalm.jpg" width="200" height="" style="float:right; padding: 8px; margin-left:10px; margin-bottom: 10px" / inside of a paragraph in a row of a table. I have rewritten the code for this image, copied it from a working image and screwed around with the table heights (although I wasn't too sure what i was doing). What else should I try? I have attached screen shots of the site in both browsers a copy of the problem jpeg aswell as a copy of the html. Any information anyone could givee me would be REALLY appreciated! Thank you. Hi well i am finally getting read to put my site together this weekend and i just have a few questions. my site has been designed by a designer who has mocked it up in photoshop, illustrator etc. so the question that i have is how do i translate that into HTML? here are a few screen shots of what my site will look like. also i'll be taking them down in a couple of days. so here they are... Thanks I have just created a site with 50+ pages and want to create a HTML site plan page of just text links for the entire site, is there a simple way to do this, i have had a quick google search and can only seem to find PC software, any ideas for a mac user or any dreamweaver exensions etc that can help!!!! Thanks in advance |
