HTML - The Page Is Jumping When Loaded

I have a quirky problem, and it exists with many of my sites. It involves Firefox browser, as well as Chrome.

Here are the conditions of the website pages that have problems:

1. Page is fixed width, centered in the browser
2. Google AdSense is present on the page
3. Browser is either Firefox or Chrome. Internet Explorer doesn't present any problems.

When the page with the above conditions is loaded, the page shows up at the RIGHT of the browser, then shifts to it's proper location in the center of the browser. This occurs every time a page with adsense is loaded, and can be irritating going page to page.

Please use Firefox browser, maximized on a monitor with a greater width than 1024.

There are five working tabs with examples, four of them have adsense on them. The one without adsense does NOT jump, and I'd like all the pages to emulate it.

I"d appreciate any direction to solving the problem. Firefox and Chrome are rapidly increasing in popularity, and I'd like to solve this rather quirky problem.

How does one make a bar that creeps across as the page loads so that the viewer knows when the page is fully loaded?

I am making a page with a load of thumbnails which are links to other pages. The code is essentially...

Code:

a span has display none and and a:hover span has display block.

What I want to know is does the larger image load with the whole page or does it only load when you hover on the link. I.E. does having loads of hidden images effect page load time?

Dear colleagues,
I'm new in Web design and I don't know all HTML reference.

I need one HTML statement to include into a page code, that allow to obtain the file name (like "pagename.html") of the page I load into the browser.
This value of "pagename.html" I will use to load in a variable.

For example:
When I load "home.html", I need that this page have a HTML statement that detect its own filename "home.html".
Once detected, I will use this value in a variable.

I hope I'm explaining clearly.

I want to load a local html file in an IFrame. The main page is loaded from a remote site (http://www.mysite.com). How can I do that if I don't have a web server installed on the local machine?
Is there any workaround?

I with the # it always want to jump to top of page. I know there is code that will prevent this, but i forgot what it is?

I am using the following code to jump to a specific line of text when a link is clicked:

<a name="link_name">Jump to here</a>

My question is this, is it possible to link to a specific line or piece of text on another page, as the above example only works on the same page.

I've been running an ad on my site using the Google Double Click program since March with no problems.

Suddenly this week, despite not even logging into Doubleclick or making any changes to the code on any of my pages, one of my larger ads is jumping outside of the space allotted for it and into my text. To make it even stranger, it will only do this periodically. IOW, sometimes the ads are being served correctly, but sometimes they get messed up.

Continue to hit refresh as my ads cycle until my large green/yellow square ad to the top left of the center column for "The Raw Food Lifestyle Ebook," appears.

Keep hitting refresh over and over again. It might take a dozen times or more. I've seen this happen in firefox and Safari. I've cleared my cache.

You'll see that sometimes it appears within its normal area, but sometimes it "jumps" out and partially covers the text to the right of it.

Since I haven't done anything to my site or my doubleclick settings , I don't know what to make of this.

I've already sought help on the Doubleclick forum, but the consensus there seems tobe that it is not a DC issue, but an HTML issue. You can see lengthy discussion about it here.

Let me know if there are any other questions.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

first of all, i'm sorry if this is a repost, basically i've uploaded an audio player to a site, www.habit-music.co.uk, ( i know this is a scruffy code btw.) The player works fine in firefox, chrome, etc, but in ie it shows as a white box, how can i fix this? also my spry nav bar does the same. On a side note if anyone knows of a better audio player could you tell me please?

Hi Everyone,

i have a peculiar problem with IE6. The header on of the site I am working on right now (http://www.mobilitynow.de) is a DIV Container in which I am loading several PNG images (without transparency). They have a Java script rollover effect.
In IE6 (not in any Firefox, Opera or higher Version of IE) the BG where the images are to be placed is shown red while the loading of the images is in progress.

Anyone has an idea what the problem might be. Suggestions would be really appreciated.

This is my website which the music that i inserted in cannot be played with IE and Firefox.However where i created the website in my computer (that is stored in my Memory Hard) the music can be loaded by Internet Explorer (after allowing Block Content bar), but cannot be loaded by Firefox.
is the problem from the HTML code???

I am working on a blog site with embeded videos and I keep getting the error icon at the bottom right. It always shows up on any video posts. Anybody got any pointers or want to review the code?
I created it with wordpress.
The main page loads with errors only if a video post is there. if its only regular posts such as picture posts, there are no errors, and the individual video posts have the same error.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

in the above code i am not setting any style to TD element or LABEL element ,
but after the document loaded i need to get the width of either TD or LABEL element.
is there any possibility to achieve that?
