HTML - Html Search And Replace Software
I'm in need of a software that searches text in html files and replaces them ignoring the html tags. As example replace 1 with <b>1.</b> it should ignore tags like color="111111" and not make color="<b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b><b>1.</b>" out of it.

I am very impressed with the content and information available in the ocean (forum). I am not good in programming. However, I have learned basic HTML programming, but not enough to write advanced coding (e.g. Creating CSS, class, table formatting, etc). I used to work on MS FrontPage and liked it very much because of its user-friendly interface. There we do get notepad, word and HTML preview windows. I always liked to work in Word window and copy notepad/code. But the biggest disadvantage is MS FrontPage uses a lot of MS Office classes and extra codes which is too tough to understand for other people. The only reason I stopped working in FrontPage because of excessive code and classes. I am looking for a software/tool where in I need to just work on Word processor like window, and I will get its code and html preview automatically? So that I will design my html page in word processor like window and get pure html code. Why do I need that software? Reason: I work on html, extensively on tables, nested tables, where in I need to use only one side border, middle border, only bottom border for each row, use gradient color in cell background, etc. I checked with Coffeecup HTML ediot and Dreamweaver CS4, but they also dont have much features for tables, and it is too advanced to use only to create HTML pages Hi I need to make a simple html file and need software to make it but I do not have any. What best free software is best to do it? Newbie -- using KompoZer to prepare text & image pages for eBookGold publishing software. 1. No problem preparing pages. Copy and paste from Word doc. Clean up code as necessary. Simple formatting - no bells & whistles. Page width set at 580 pixels. 2. Each page viewed in IE7 is consistent with flush left margin and right margin consistent with 580 pixel width. Each page is tested for printing on 8.5x11 paper so pages can be numbered. 3. File is uploaded to eBook publishing software with default page view of 640x480. Software includes eBook viewer for computer use. Book generates successfully. 4. PROBLEM IS WITH VIEWING PAGES IN THE SOFTWARE READER. Some are the same as IE7. Others spread from edge to edge of the computer screen which, in some cases, affects the image and text placement. ???? Why is there a difference between IE7 and software publisher view of same page? Is there HTML code that can fix the problem? If yes, what is it and how do I do it? specifics would be appreciated. My employer and I are learning as we go -- any help is gratefully appreciated. Hi all! I'm new to this forum. I'm not very tech savvy so this is probably why I'm about to lose my mind trying to figure out the solution to my problem.... I would like a good software program where I can create templates in html format so that I can email for marketing purposes. I've tried a few online services and their limitations have me beating my head against the wall. I don't know html code. And I don't need to build a website. And I don't want to spend an outrageous amount of money. But I do want to create a template that will get to someones inbox, not junk mail, and arrive without attachments. I need the software to be user friendly & have an easy interface where I can easily edit using a visual editing tool. Does that exist? Any advice would be very much appreciated Hi everybody, I've invented a means of converting HTML to keywords. http://4nf.org/tool/ What do you think of it? Any kind of feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance and kind regards Hello, I tried searching on the internet for my question, but strangely have yet to find anything. Hopefully something will turn up soon - but here is my question in the meantime: I have a webpage that has a flash sequence that you must click on to take you to the rest of the site. But for browsers that don't have flash (like phones), I want that flash sequence to be replaced by some html code - like an image that you can click to take you to the site. I feel like that's a pretty basic question - so if you know the answer, I would really appriciate your help! Thanks!! Hi, Quite some time ago I was faced with putting a website together for the first time for a local community group (my wife nominated me!). Rather than tell you all what it contains and how it looks, it is probably easier for me to give you the link which is the Friends of Clifton Park based in South Yorkshire, UK. This website consists of eight html pages. The first is the index, second is the welcome page and the rest are linked pages via links on the left. On every of the "linked" pages, only the main body changes, with the exception of each link showing in Caps and link disabled. The problem I'm having is that every single one of the linked html pages are the same, except the displayed text. 90% is the page set-up. So my question is: Is it possible to "import" the required text information when a link is clicked on straight into the main body of ONE html page? btw, you'll notice that the page height isn't fixed, it expands depending on amount of information in it. I have tried IFRAME but don't really seem to be getting anywhere as I can't seem to make the height auto-adjust. A specified height value has to be entered for each "page". This is no good as more information will be needed to be put on. So basically what I am trying to do is: Keep the index.html Change the welcome.html to display the main page (graphics/images, etc) Import text into main body into the welcome.html page when a link is clicked on. Thus reducing the need of duplicate html pages and just having text files containing the main body text. The main reason for wanting to do this is a) stop all the duplication of page set-up in each html file, and b) make it easier for the guy that wants to add information where needed, straight into notepad (txt file) and upload it to the website. I hope all the above makes sense and if anyone requires further information, I will only be to happy to provide it! Thank you. Hi All, I have search box on my web page. I wanted to have that in such way that it should be divided into 3 part. i.e. left section, middle section (it will have input text), right section (clickable button). can anyone help me to code for me in html. its urgent. Thanks in advance. Find the attached searchbox button. Hello everyone, In my company we have a server to which everyone is connected. Since we use a large panel of legal texts, someone compiled them and listed them in a word doc with hyperlinks that lead to PDFs. He then saved the doc as HTML and put the entire 'database' into a folder located on the server. The html doc appears in Firefox on each PC of ours as a link and since we all have access to the common server it is like a local website. Quite simple and easy to use. I would like to add a search field to the document that would enable us to search directly in the folder that includes all the pdfs and inside those documents. Since I know very little in html I am not even sure if it is possible. Great thanks for your help! Looking forward to hear from someone... Please tell me how to implement search box in website. Because that channel can be found in the original Adsense code in my site but I don't know on which page it is. Any ideas? P.S. I know I could view source of each page separately and search but I have too many pages and it would take me hours. |
