HTML - No Show Url/link
Hi, I would like to write something for a forum or a blog and I would like the URL not to show in the text, but when you click on the underlined subject, it would go to the page you want it to. I see it all the time, but don't know how to not show the URL (http://www.etc.) in the paragraph. I will be writing this in text format, not html format ( I do html all the time) Please help. Thanks.

But the page appears me duplicated, one above and the other page behind this one, and when I click the link, the content appears me in the behind page. I would be grateful if somebody could help me, because I am Stuck. Bye I'm just curious if anyone knows how to do this. Basically what I want to do is have a series of links (lets say one, two, three, and so on) and when you click one of those links, the image below those links change to the respective link (if you click one, a picture of the number one shows up, if you click two, well you get the idea). How would I go about doing this? How I want this laid out: Link Link Link [-Image-] Thanks I am trying to figure out how the user can click ANYWHERE on the webpage, and it will execute the 'Show Desktop' command (like in the quicklaunch -- for windows XP). The webpage will be used as the desktop background. I want the user to be able to click on the desktop background, and all other windows will become minimized. An onclick function perhaps, or something that executes "Windows key + M"? Please help, this is for my job lol Hey guys I need some help regarding a website I made from a template. you can view the site at http://www.goosetrailbnb.com/ The problem is that when you click on the links in the bottom navigation bar, it will only show the page for a second (not properly aligned) and then redirect back to the index.html automatically. If you click the links on the menu up top in the flash header, the links work fine. I am using iframe....so my pages are index.html, iframe_0.html, iframe_1.html, iframe_2.html and so on. Thanks Hi there, I'm experiencing a strange problem in IE with the show-hide layers behavior. I have 4 layers, each with images inside them which are meant to link to other pages. This works fine in Firefox but not so in IE. The odd thing is that when you hover over the images in IE the link appears in the status bar and if you right click and choose "open link" it does work. I'm almost embarrassed to post this. I've done this before, but I must be missing something... Here's the deal: I have a div with an id "note": HTML Code: <div id="note"> See us at the trade show! Call 555-1234 </div> In my CSS page I have these properties for the "note" id: HTML Code: #note

The problem is, the text shows, but nothing I do gets the image as a background to show. The "images" directory is at the same level as the div's file, but I've tried the url with and without a beginning backslash. The image is just a single color, orange jpeg created in Photoshop. Any ideas what I'm missing anyone? Thanks for any help! Hey everyone! I am new to this forum and I have a very lame question (almost afraid to ask). I have a very simple website consisting of 2 frames only (topframe for a very simple menu and a mainframe). I have done such simple websites multiple times and I never had any problems removing the border(s) between the frames. In the <frameset> I just set all the attributes (like framespacing and frameborder) to "0" (and I also tried "NO"). In Firefox this works perfectly and the border in between the mainframe and the topframe does not show, but in Explorer the border does show. I can't get rid of the border in IE. The page is for a friend, they have asked me if its possible to have a maximum of 3 images that roatate on a slide show within the page, so the first picture will be there for 4 seconds then the next and so on. Thanks in advance... Does anyone know where I can find a script that will allow a bunch of pictures to be changed into a slideshow. But I need this slideshow to be of pictures scrolling horizontally. where it just keeps looping. does that make sense? |
