HTML - Auto Submit Of Html Form
Hi All,
I want to autosubmit my file to google.com. Here is the code I wrote to execute it. Unfortunately output is not what is intended. I tried in IE and mozilla only. Basically I want the script to be browser independent Any help will be appreciated. Below is the code. My file name is autosub.html <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>My First JavaScript</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY onload=""> <FORM NAME="search_Key" METHOD="post" ACTION="http://www.google.com" target="_top" id="search_key"> <p align="center"> Search value : <INPUT NAME="search_value" SIZE="10" MAXLENGTH="3" VALUE="spiderman"></p> <INPUT type="submit" value=Go> </FORM> <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JAVASCRIPT" TYPE="TEXT/JAVASCRIPT"> <!-- document.write("I love JavaScript"); //--> function myautosubmit() { document.pnr_stat.submit(); document.write("I love JavaScript2"); } </SCRIPT> </BODY> </HTML> When open my autosubmit.html, browser shows "I love JavaScript2" only. Thanks in advance Similar TutorialsHi all, I'm trying to find a way to have my webpage scroll to the bottom automatically after the script: document.form1.submit() is called. I need to run the function/refresh in order to reload some different data into part of the page, but after the refresh the position of the page is always at the top... making the user have scroll down again. I could set some anchors or use window.scroll(0.500); on the page load, but i only want it to scroll down if that function of form1.submit() is called - and thats only called once the page has already loaded for the first time. So the first time a user goes to the page, it loads normally at the top of the page. Then they scroll down themselves and select an option. Once the select an option, the form1.submit() is called and the page refreshes with new data in it but is still at the top. Is what I want possible? Thanks, Mike Hi, I am a newbie using HTML to build a form in Sharepoint 2003 and I am not sure if this form is submitting properly. The form looks good! However, the question is: Does the HTML code actually submit any of the data entered in the fields when I hit the Submit button? Thanks for your help. <HTML> <HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <META NAME="Generator" CONTENT="Microsoft Word 97"> <title>This form will serve as a check list for software and hardware requests</title> </HEAD> <BODY LINK="#0000ff"> <FONT FACE="calibri"><SPAN LANG="EN-CA"><h2>This form will serve as a check list for software and hardware requests. </h2> <FONT FACE="calibri" size=3><SPAN LANG="EN-CA"><P>Please allow 4 weeks for delivery.</P> <P>Date: (dd/mm/yyyy) <input type="text" name="today_date" size="10" /> </P> <P>Name <input type="text" name="fullname" size="35" /><br /> </P> <P>User Name<input type="text" name="username" size="35" /><br /></P> <P>Address (address/city/pr/postal code/country) <input type="text" name="addressname" size="35" /><br /></P> <P>Job Title </br> <input type="checkbox" name="business_manager" size="35" /> Business Manager<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="Analyst" size="35" /> Analyst<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="Data Manager" size="35" /> Data Manager<br /></P> <P>Department <input type="text" name="department" size="35" /><br /></P> <P>Line Manager <input type="text" name="line_manager" size="35" /><br /></P> <P>Phone Number <input type="text" name="phone_number" size="12" /><br /></P> <P>Mobile (Cell) Number <input type="text" name="cell_number" size="12" /><br /></P> <P>Email Address <input type="text" name="email_address" size="50" /><br /></P> <P> <input type="checkbox" name="new_user" size="35" /> New User <br/> <input type="checkbox" name="existing_user" size="35" /> Existing User<br /> </P> <P>Start Date (dd/mm/yyyy) <input type="text" name="start_date" size="10" /> </P> <p>Hardware<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="laptop" /> Laptop <br /> <input type="checkbox" name="keyboard" /> Keyboard <br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mouse" /> Mouse <br /> <input type="checkbox" name="usb_headset" /> USB Headset<br /> </P> <input type="submit" value="Click Here to Submit" /> <input type="reset" value="Erase and Start Over"/> </p> </form> <P> </P></FONT></SPAN></BODY> </HTML> Hello, I'm creating an HTML form. I tried the same form in a different plain html file and it seems to work but when I insert it back into this webpage template the submit button doesnt seem to work. Thanks in advance. I need a basic form to submit for a html web page. Can you provide one with a two seperate fields, one text area, and a submit button? Thanks Hello, I am very new to these forums, so I apologize if this question is either in the wrong location, or impossible to accomplish. I am very new to HTML editing. While I have got the basics down, I have been tasked with creating a website for one of my friend's business. I have been "attempting" to finish this task, but I seem to come across a road block. What I would like to do is create a form with several checkboxes. Each checkbox would be assigned a numeric value. Below the form field, data that is displayed would change based on the combined values of the checkboxes. I will try to clarify. For example. Say you have 6 checkboxes. The number in parenthesis is the value. [ ] (1) [ ] (2) [ ] (1) [ ] (4) [ ] (3) [ ] (7) Now say that two of the boxes are checked. [ ] (1) [ ] (2) [x] (1) [ ] (4) [x] (3) [ ] (7) Their total value is four [(1) and (3)]. Now what would be displayed, in either an iFrame, or on the page itself if it is possible, would be dependent on the total value, say 0<=4 would be one set of information; 5<=8 would be another; 9+ a third set. Also, this form would have to update on every click. No submit button. I believe you can understand my dilemma. I have been searching the web for an answer to both of these problems, both together and separate. Please, anything will be helpful and appreciated, even if not an answer, a point in the right direction. Thanks. I have a form with a number of elements. One of these elements is: <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-butcc-subscribe.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!"> Clicking on that element makes the form submit. But if I add a similar element: <input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-butcc-subscribe.gif" border="0" name="submit2" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!"> ...clicking on that also makes the form submit. So was wondering if anyone knew what the rules were for which elements make a form submit? Cheers, James Ok.... I know this is my first post, and I wasn't quite sure where to post this, under html or scripting, but here goes. I run a website wherein I provide translations for Spanish lyrics. My layout is fairly straightforward, but I spend about 3/4 of my time formatting. Check out the following: http://thelandofoz.us/laposadadelosmuertos.html I have to insert all of my code by hand. My question is, is there anything that I can do to streamline this process? Is there perhaps a way to use a script to dynamically generate code like this from a plaintext file? When I do one of these pages, I usually copy the lyrics verse by verse, then translate them verse by verse like this: Alza tu cerveza, brinda por la libertad, bebe y vente de fiesta, pues el Infierno es este bar. Raise your beer, toast to freedom, drink and come to the party, for hell is this bar. SO... is there any way to make this easier on me? Hi, I would like to construct a form which is auto filled and submits automaticaly.. It has to upload a file whose path I know.. Here is what I tried Code: <FORM action="read_csv.php" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="POST"> <input type="file" name="datafile" value="/home/anirudh/public_html/readd_csv/performance.csv"> <script type="text/javascript">document.form.submit()</script> </FORM> But the form's file field is not filled automatically..What is the problem? Hi I have site it has windows media player embeded in it, it plays some live stream, I want page to load than stream to load it take about 5 seconds to load, I want html code to double click on windows media player so it will be full screen automatically without user doing it. Please help me Thank you. Hi I have a web site which captures visitors details currently using Formail, the online version. This ensures that all fields are entered and sends the information to me in an e-mail. The web site was created in Net Objects Fusion version 7. I have some web design experience but not that much. I can ammend HTML rather than start from scratch. I am testing a product called Salesforce.com which has the ability to capture leads and populates a contact management database which you use as a sales tool. This has the advantage of doing away with the e-mails, having to print them off and re keying the data into our current sales sytem. Salesforce.com lets you generate some HTML which you plug into your web site, which I have managed to do. However, it does not validate the fields so someone could leave everything blank which would then create a blank lead record in Salesforce.com. I have been told that i need to amend the HTML by hand but do not have a clue where to start. If anyone can either help me out with the HTML or suggest a better solution I would be very grateful. The HTML it has generated is below <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <!-- NOTE: Please add the following <META> element to your page <HEAD>. --> <!-- If necessary, please modify the charset parameter to specify the --> <!-- character set of your HTML page. --> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <!-- NOTE: Please add the following <FORM> element to your page. --> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <form action="https://www.salesforce.com/servlet/servlet.WebToLead?encoding=UTF-8" method="POST"> <input type=hidden name="oid" value="00D2000000060Zj"> <input type=hidden name="retURL" value="http://www.withdeanfc.co.uk"> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <!-- NOTE: These fields are optional debugging elements. This would be nice so that I can email a few links to a lot of my friends and I've already filled out some of the info for everyone. Thanks for the help. ~Bryan H.~ Hey, Using PHP and MySQL but I thought this problem is more suited to HTML (admin, please move if its not). But now I am encountering an issue with the <td> stop auto line breaking, and instead just increase the width of the table to make the string fit in 1 line. if anyone know whats possibly causing this problem please reply, any thing suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks can i have fixed layout for only some part of a table? I want the first column of my table to be "auto" and the other columns to be "fixed" llike style='table-layout:fixed;'. How can I achieve this? Thanks! I've seen it done, but probably not in html. Every time the page is reloaded, the background colour within certain areas of the page will change to one of a series of pre-set colours. Usually this is all background divs or table cells that have been earmarked for this colour change, but how on earth do you set that up in html? Any ideas? Hi All, I've been asked to make some hyperlinks that automatically select items in a drop down menu in a contact form. Is this possible if so, how is it done Thanks in advance Bluestreak |
