HTML - Auto Submit Of Html Form

I need a basic form to submit for a html web page.
Can you provide one with a two seperate fields, one text area, and a submit button?

Hello, I am very new to these forums, so I apologize if this question is either in the wrong location, or impossible to accomplish.

I am very new to HTML editing. While I have got the basics down, I have been tasked with creating a website for one of my friend's business. I have been "attempting" to finish this task, but I seem to come across a road block.

What I would like to do is create a form with several checkboxes. Each checkbox would be assigned a numeric value. Below the form field, data that is displayed would change based on the combined values of the checkboxes.

I will try to clarify.


For example.


Say you have 6 checkboxes. The number in parenthesis is the value.

[ ] (1)
[ ] (2)
[ ] (1)
[ ] (4)
[ ] (3)
[ ] (7)


Now say that two of the boxes are checked.

[ ] (1)
[ ] (2)
[x] (1)
[ ] (4)
[x] (3)
[ ] (7)


Their total value is four [(1) and (3)]. Now what would be displayed, in either an iFrame, or on the page itself if it is possible, would be dependent on the total value, say 0<=4 would be one set of information; 5<=8 would be another; 9+ a third set.

Also, this form would have to update on every click. No submit button.

I believe you can understand my dilemma. I have been searching the web for an answer to both of these problems, both together and separate.

Please, anything will be helpful and appreciated, even if not an answer, a point in the right direction. Thanks.

I have a form with a number of elements. One of these elements is:

<input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-butcc-subscribe.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">

Clicking on that element makes the form submit.

But if I add a similar element:

<input type="image" src="https://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-butcc-subscribe.gif" border="0" name="submit2" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">

...clicking on that also makes the form submit.

So was wondering if anyone knew what the rules were for which elements make a form submit?

Ok.... I know this is my first post, and I wasn't quite sure where to post this, under html or scripting, but here goes. I run a website wherein I provide translations for Spanish lyrics. My layout is fairly straightforward, but I spend about 3/4 of my time formatting. Check out the following:

I have to insert all of my code by hand. My question is, is there anything that I can do to streamline this process? Is there perhaps a way to use a script to dynamically generate code like this from a plaintext file? When I do one of these pages, I usually copy the lyrics verse by verse, then translate them verse by verse like this:

Alza tu cerveza, brinda por la libertad,
bebe y vente de fiesta,
pues el Infierno es este bar.

Raise your beer, toast to freedom,
drink and come to the party,
for hell is this bar.

SO... is there any way to make this easier on me?

I have site it has windows media player embeded in it, it plays some live stream, I want page to load than stream to load it take about 5 seconds to load, I want html code to double click on windows media player so it will be full screen automatically without user doing it.

I have a web site which captures visitors details currently using Formail, the online version. This ensures that all fields are entered and sends the information to me in an e-mail.

The web site was created in Net Objects Fusion version 7. I have some web design experience but not that much. I can ammend HTML rather than start from scratch.

I am testing a product called Salesforce.com which has the ability to capture leads and populates a contact management database which you use as a sales tool. This has the advantage of doing away with the e-mails, having to print them off and re keying the data into our current sales sytem.

Salesforce.com lets you generate some HTML which you plug into your web site, which I have managed to do. However, it does not validate the fields so someone could leave everything blank which would then create a blank lead record in Salesforce.com. I have been told that i need to amend the HTML by hand but do not have a clue where to start.

If anyone can either help me out with the HTML or suggest a better solution I would be very grateful.

I was wondering, if there is a web page with forms, is there anyway you can create a link so that some of the input boxes are automatically filled. This would be nice so that I can email a few links to a lot of my friends and I've already filled out some of the info for everyone. Thanks for the help.

Using PHP and MySQL but I thought this problem is more suited to HTML (admin, please move if its not).

I have a drop down select form which I want to automatically change the page once the user has selected it. Like a home page of a company and you choose the country, when it automatically goes to the appropirate page. Any ideas of how to do this?

in the past when ever I have string that is longer than the width specified in the <td>it always automatically line breaked for me.
But now I am encountering an issue with the <td> stop auto line breaking, and instead just increase the width of the table to make the string fit in 1 line.

if anyone know whats possibly causing this problem please reply, any thing suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks

can i have fixed layout for only some part of a table?
I want the first column of my table to be "auto" and the other columns to be "fixed" llike style='table-layout:fixed;'.
How can I achieve this?

I've seen it done, but probably not in html. Every time the page is reloaded, the background colour within certain areas of the page will change to one of a series of pre-set colours.

Usually this is all background divs or table cells that have been earmarked for this colour change, but how on earth do you set that up in html? Any ideas?
