HTML - Removing .html From Page Address

Does anyone know a html or javascript code that displays the users computer (network adapter's) mac address?

Hi, I have what I think is a simple problem, but I am not sure how to solve it (because I am fairly new at php):

I want to use a google map link where it will show the destination address. This link uses the iFrame component. Now, on my site, I want the user to enter his/her departing address, and what is entered will be input into a php variable $address. I am still experimenting, but I wanted to replace the google link that is in the iFrame (say it is www.googlemaps.com/location1+location2+location3) I want to replace "location1" with $address. The thing is, when i try to put a php variable inside an html coding, it won't work. I am trying to integrate it without having to use <?php ?>, but rather in the body of the html. I also tried <?=$address?> but this also did not work. Could anyone help me out? it seems very simple.

This question is probably been asked so many times but i still do not understand it so i'm going to ask again if it's already been asked in forums already.

I've got a website with many pages where the homepage has many links. e.g.
home.html, about.html, contact.html etc...

The navigation structure of these pages are the same hence while i'm coding it, i ended up copy/pasting same code across all pages in order to establish the navigation structure. Additionally, i have a copyright section (at the bottom of page) which i include in all pages.

Problem is how can i write my code to have it this structure but not allowing duplicate code. Without duplicate code i can reuse code in future.

I've heard people suggesting using php includes but that would mean my site turning into php (server side stuff).

Is there another method?

I clearly do not want to go down the php route (as requested by my client, his own web server does not support server side technologies, kinda weird but its their internal thing & my job is just to design the site and this is what i've been told)

So preferably if it can be avodied i would avoid into php.

Therefore i am asking is there a way that can be done with simple html or even javascript perhaps?

I am having issues with a flash intro and decided to try and just place it on a separate page when visiting my father's website - www.raymorteam.com. So I took all of the code currently on his homepage and created a copy of the page - http://www.raymorteam.com/files/35241/Main_Page.html

However, I only want the copy page to show www.raymorteam.com in the addressbar. How do I go about doing this?

I've seen it at www.ch131.com. Take a look at that page - any link you click will only show the parent web address in the address bar. I want my father's page to do that for this specific page.

How can I fixed the size of the page to desired width and length and also make that page fixed to that size so that it cannot resized.

I am pretty new at this, so any help would be appriciated.

I want to put a custom text in an address bar of user's browser, so that any page on my site shows www.mydomain.com instead of www.mydomain.com/mypage.html or www.mydomain.com/asubpage.php. I don't want users to see the titles of subpages of my site.

My server supports PHP, so I could write this in either HTML or PHP, but don't know how.

Is this possible to achieve and if so, how?

I believe in thread titles that get to the point.

I have a basic page, when the page loads I want people to see the top of the page for a few seconds while a flash starts to load but then I want the page to scroll down a bit so the visitor can see the flash load progress status.

I just want code that I can copy into my page. I don't have access to the flash code.

I am stuck with this stupid code that i have been trying to fix for an hour! Please help. Heres my problem...:

Hey all, me and my friend have a cleaning company and we deciced to make a webpage. It's been a good 6 years since i have worked on a website. My biggest accomplishment so far was getting the contact form to work properly on the site. It does, i feel like i've done alot lol.

Anyway, the current design is a rough layout (suggestions are welcome). It still needs a lot of little touches to make it look more "full". My biggest concern now is when your clicking from page to page the table jumps around. In firefox, the Contact Us and Services page are perfect, nice and centered. The image i'm using where the navigation buttons are is in place as well.

When you go to the other pages though the table moves a bit and it looks like the image i'm using where the navigation buttons are starts to repeat.

In Internet Exploder, everything doesn't look centered. There seems to be more space on the right than on the left, but the image i'm using for the navigation buttons seems to be fine, it's not repeating.

I dunno what's causing this. I know different browsers display stuff in different ways but i'm far from having a good understanding as to why (that's why i'm here). I even copied txt from one of the messed up pages and pasted it on one of the pages that is ok and that didn't work. I assume it's a CSS thing.

Also, try and avoid saying things like "Table designs are for teh n00bz!11!" or "This is why CSS is better than using a table design!!!". This is how i did it. Im ok with CSS but i don't have a thorough understanding of it to design an entire website using CSS. I'm hoping this is an easy CSS fix, or maybe something else?
