HTML - ★how To: Display The Current Page Url In An Input Box
I want to display the current page URL in an input box, so users can copy the url from the input box rather than from the adress bar. Kinda like this:

Secondly, I was wondering if the same thing could be done(in an input box), but the url will be displayed inside of a link- like this: HTML Code: <input type="text" readonly="readonly" value=" <a target='_blank' href='PAGE URL APPEARS AUTOMATICALLY HERE'>Click here!<a> " /> Is this possible to do? Similar TutorialsOkay, with frames, whenever there is a link that you want to open up in the parent browser rather than inside the frame, all you have to add to the link code is "target="_parent"". However, for INPUT BUTTONS(not links) this doesn't seem to be the case. This is my input button code: HTML Code: <input id="button" type="button" value="Submit!"> the input button is INSIDE A FRAME, and because of that, when I click on it- the link goes inside the frame... how do I make it so the input button links to the PARENT browser? Hello; I have text box & submit button in page_1 & I have text box & submit button in page_2. I want when write text in text box in page_1 it go directly to text box in page_2 & I want when click on submit button in page_1 it is like click on submit button in page_2. Assume page_2 located in other site www.page_2.com. How to do that.?? Not even sure what to call this actually... I received this message from a friend whose site I just put up. ---------------------------- When you click on say the Home Page, and then you click on something else then go back to the prvious page, it apparently displays the previous page on the home page for example. I was not able to recreate this on my computer, but apparently, [another] web developer said this is a fairly common problem. Any ideas what he's talking about? Ok so here is my issue, i am new to web site design and i have a simple project i would like to work on. I am looking to have an entry box with a simple submit button, then i would like the submissions to be displayed below in the order they are submitted. I would also like to limit the number of submissions that show on the page at a given time by creating multiple pages that can be viewed. This seems like a very simple issue but im having trouble finding solutions on the web. Would inserting a java app or some other secondary tool be better? Any help is appreciated -Matt What I want is to use some html or javascript or something to show the user of my site the exact page they are viewing. Then i would set it up so they could either bookmark it or copy the link. So a normal bookmarking script is not what I want. I need to be able to display the link the user is viewing on the page they are viewing. How can this be done? Alright, I haven't been coding in a while, just got back into it. Hi guys, Basically, I have a .swf that I want to put on multiple pages that is capable of linking to different pages without having to customise the xml per page. I'll try and explain myself: If I inset the flash file on page1, then I want to have links coming out of the flash that direct to http://site/page1/A and http://site/page1/B. I'd then like to use the same flash on page two, and have the links point to http://site/page2/A and http://site/page2/B. I basically need to have the link address take into account the page the user is on and add an A, or B to the address. Is this possible? Perhaps it will require javascript? I'm trying to create a website that consists of a name and message input, and after you click send message, it sends it instantly to the current page under this input. I know the simple code <a href="#">click me</a> will load the current page. But is there a code that will strip out everything after the "?" portion? When my new user enters a bunch of registration information (into my Reg Page) , *but* makes an error, I then wish to re-issue this Reg Page with all the info he/she entered for corrections, instead of just re-issuing the 'blank' Reg Page. I understand cookies can do this (?) -- but I know minimal about their use. Also, I am able to use my CGI program (its written in a superset of C and has great string-processing functions) and edit a copy of the reg page and place all submitted data back into the appropriate fields of the reg page -- But this is an *onerous* task. Question: Is there a *classic* way I should be doing this replacement task ? Or is there a different method that I could try. I would like to have the values saved as an input file for a python script that resides on the server. I would like the input file to be created and then the script executed and the output appear as a new page. I have googled this and have come up empty. Can someone point me in the right direction. I'm new to HTML and I need help with posting up c++ code. I have very bland formatting for code in my blog. I need to be able to post up c++ code like in this guy's Blog Or like this guys site Notice how the c++ code is formatted nicely to show line numbers and colors. What tags or techniques does one use to get this kind of formatting? Good day I need some help. I created a website in adobe dreamworks a while ago. I have added another link to a html file hosted on my website, but it doesn't work in IE and works fine in Chrome and Firefox. the link works, but not the whole page loads any suggestions? i have a trivia site, so far with 500 or so questions and answers. the answers each have a separate html page, but i am looking for a way to put them all on about 5 pages, and just have one section display in a frame when the question is answered. i have figured out how to display a certain part of a page, but the problem is, i don't want anything else from the page displayed, because they are all embedded youtube videos and they would all start at once. am i just stuck with having an html page for each answer? if you can help god bless you i'm really stuck on this. this is basically what the page will look like, even though there's much work to be done so all the links aren't working, etc... http://trilogy.awardspace.com/iframe.html i'm a bit confused.. it always worked, that i uplaoded the hml code as a new web page in the ftp web tool... (without even name it to .html at the end of the site name...) How can I make that the webpage which i uploaded is diplayed as the actual webpage (and not shown the html code instead) WITHOUT have to add .html to the url??? Example: url.com/contact --> shows only html code url.com/contact.html --> shows correct site but if u access any site... you usually never have to add .html to the url: e.g.: www.mtv.com/music PLEASE, thanks |
