HTML - Problem With The Left Panel
After some good help from Horus_Kol i made a panel to the left on my website:

When the window is manually made thinner, a horizontal scrollbar DOES appear but on the wrong side, which makes some of the content unreachable. On Firefox sometimes there is no horizontal scrollbar at all. HELP? Hi I have a requirement. i have an image with float:left style. I have a text following that and an line just below the text spanning entire width of column(not just width of text). I tried 2 ways of displaying it, but the underline was displaying below the floated image not just below the text. Can you please help me here? Thanks! Hello, I'm working on a site, but have run into a problem I'm not sure how to deal with. The contents of the footer area of the page are centered within a Div as you can see at the url: http://www.mylessinclair.com/testsite/ However, I think it might be easier on the eye if the links and content were centered underneath the main content panel. I'm trying to avoid the use of tables in achieving this, so I'm thinking that I need two Divs side by side for the footer. One 150px wide as in the side bar above it, marked up as float left - and then just center the footer contents in the other Div ? Am I on the right track here, or is it a bit more complicated? In my company we make procedures (stuff that we think we need written down in case we need to repeat it), which we update on a regular basis. Whenever we go to do an install, update, fix, etc. and we need a procedure, we print it out and then head off with it (we make red lines as necessary.) All of these are in HTML and stored in CVS. One of the engineers (she is not terribly familiar with HTML and turned to me) asked me if I could make a little "box" to the left of a list. The steps of the procedure are a bunch of <li> tags, having a nice box to the left to check it off as you go through them would be great. This stumped me. The best that I could do was make a one-celled table inside the <li> tags (the HTML for which I've posted) in order to get the impression of a "box" where you can check off a step that you just completed. Hi all, Im afraid im getting a little frustrated. My fault.. Im new here but need your help. I run a forum, phpbb3 based but the style im currently using is very much HTML based. I am looking to have a left hand column within my forum but really dont know how to do it, well to add to what i already have. This link will take you to the original download: It can be found he It seems this style is mostly created using HTML. Could someone please tell me how to add a left hand column to the page. I would like it to be on the left hand side all the way down after the header. I thought i would have a go at it but becoming increasingly frustrated with it. such a simple thing but i cannot get it. Do i float it, using css or what? I thought about using a seperate page to create the table and then include it into the doc but this doesnt work either. Plz help.. Paul |
