HTML - Viewing Multiple Images On A Single Page.
Dear all.
I see this done many times on many websites (especially comic websites) where an image has a forwards and backwards arrow button, and images selected correspondingly. Ideally I want the [img src="images/001.jpg"] file name to increase by one each time. So all I have to do is add more images in ever increasing filenames to the images folder, 002.jpg, 003.jpg etc. How do I add one to a filename and then refresh the page? Can I do this in XHTML ? Many thanks. Similar TutorialsHi guys- Im not an expert. I am a teacher at an elementary school. I am trying to set up a webpage for our school that will allow students to view egg hatchings going on in all their classrooms. Im doing this through the use of webcams. I can get a single webcam to display in a page, but when I go for more than one, this is what happens... http://www.mrharris.org/unipage.html The second cam should be showint up, but there is obviously some issue here... Any suggestions ? Thanks ! Mike Hi all, I have a query regarding HTML Radio Buttons. On a site I have created I am use radio button to allow visitors to search fot various files. Below is the code I have used. <input type="radio" name="searchIndex" value="HMD01"/> The "HMD01" is a field in my database. The user types in txt into a textbox and when they click a search button a function checks the "HMD01" field to see if any data matches what was in the textbox and displays the results if there are matches. What I am trying to do is that if the search found no matches in that field that it would search another field in the database to find a match. I thought the code would be something like the code below but that did not work. <input type="radio" name="searchIndex" value="HMD01, PRD03"/> The "PRD03" field contains the same type of information as "HMD01" but is stored in a different table. I want to be able to search "HMD01" for a match then search "PRD03" with the same parameters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. REgards Hello, I am trying to hose just a single splash page with a background image, a logo & a couple of links. I only need this free/cheap hosting for 1-2 months. Any ideas who would work for this? I'd prefer free. There may be a lot of traffic at some point to the splash page, but the only thing they will be able to do from that page is email or go to the myspace page. So I dont think I need a lot of disc space, but not sure how the bandwidth will be used since there techincally isnt anything there but a logo and a couple of links? No nudity will be on this particular splash page, so I assume I can host the file(s) any where. Hello, I add a HTML page within wordpress site at http://www.cowism.com/pg_0003-2/ and the entire HTML section of page is shown as a single line of overlapped text. Please help me add HTML perfectly within the wordpress post/page Thanks in advance Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and have very basic HTML knowledge. I've set up a page at http://www.freudiansliprecording.com/thelastsupper which, as it is coded now, automatically plays a goofy 5 second MP3 audio file when the page loads. What I would like to do is have the page randomly choose between 2 or three different of these very short MP3 audio clips and play one of them (and only one of them) when a visitor first comes to this page. Can anyone here recommend a way for me to do this? I do not want a visible player for this randomly chosen clip. Thank you all very, very much in advance for your help Cheers, Kevin Hi Guys, I have a simple question, I havent done any web/html stuff for a long time, ive totally forgotton how to do everything. At the moment im working on a small project, I was thinking of running it off a database but I think its way to complicated even for that as all I need is a single html page that populates with information that I have when certain inormation is entered. Basically its a contact list, name, number, ID, landline fax number etc. I have a list of about 400 names which I want to be searched by a ID and state, so for example, theres 2 data entry boxes, one is a drop down box of states and the next is a text entry field where you enter the ID (3 digits) once selected, it populates another text field with the information. I want all the info to remain on a single page, or maybe the info on another page and displayed on the main page when the propriate ID number is entered. Id prefer it this way as I can easily edit the page with text. I dont think a database is appropriate, as I need to run this locally. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to get this done? Id appreciate any help. Thanks alot Ok I want to get involved with a few affiliates. Now they've given me the link I need to set up my store within my website, but I need to know how and what is needed to build the HTML/CSS page so that the store works. They salso said that I am able to skin the storefront with my websites look. So is just the very basics of an HTML page needed for an affiliate link to work? Or is it going to be something more advanced? Good Morning! (For those of us in EST) I am building a website that will have multiple languages and there are separate images for the header for each language. I was wondering if there was a more proper way of having separate header images for each page, other than having a blank header image as a place holder for the space and placing the image for each page in header space? Also, a side question. I think http://validator.w3.org wants to cut my throat when I put in this code. Here is my doctype - <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> and the code... PHP Code: <dd class="style2"><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ylbObe9OgEM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ylbObe9OgEM&hl=en&fs=1&autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></dd> Did I mess up something big time? This was just the standard code from youtube. I'm trying to do a profile layout design using multiple background images in the body. body background-image: url('http://www.geocities.com/korknup/HATEBOOK/LOGO.jpg') is it even possible to embed more than one image in the body, like an image gallery? Hey I would like to have a bar span the entire width of any screen, but by using 3 seperate images: <-- image goes on forever left ] [ central image ] [ image goes on forever right --> Is this possible? if so, would you kindly show me how? much love... I am currently having an issue where Firefox allows my images to wrap according to window size but IE puts them one by one down the page instead of putting images side by side according to window size if they will fit. Example is that I have 5 images. 4 of the images are 350pixels X 400pixels and 1 image is 700pixels X 500pixels. I have code that loops through and gets images for each section that is setup. Then I am just displaying the image in 1 line of code which loops through and displays the images for each section. I have 5 sections setup with the five images listed above. My code then displays the section images with links to the sections. <a href="<%= lTemplateFileName %>"><%= (sectionMediaFile != null) ? sectionMediaFile : "" %></a> Firefox puts images side by side and since the 700pixel image will only fit on 1 row it puts that 1 image and then the next row shows 2 images because they will fit on that row. With IE using that code it displays each image 1 by 1 on seperate rows. I want to be able to use 1 piece of code that will allow images to wrap depending if multiple images can fit on that a row. I don't want to limit a <td> to a colspan and create a table out of it. I just want the images to display as many as it can fit on a window size and wrap the next images to the next row and so on and so on. Hello! I'm having this problem and am not sure if it can be solved: I have table with text. The text length varies as it is user-inputed. I want to have, as background, 2 graphics that encapsulate it on the vertical axis. They look like "[" and "]" but inverted. What I am aiming to do is have the text start with the "inverted-[", continue to stretch and then end with "inverted-]". How can it be done, please? There is only one TD and both graphics willl get covered with text, so I can't have one as background for the text TD and the last one just at the end without any text on it... Let me set up what my site looks like first, then I'll delve into the question. My site has frames, top frame, left frame, and a main frame. The left frame contains numerous thumbnail images that I want the user to click on and get a larger version of said image inside the main frame. The problem I'm having is I have to create a separate html page for each (larger)image (and it has become incredibly tedious), instead of just having a main.html with some sort of way of opening multiple (not more then one image at a time, but have an image replace the previous one when a new thumbnail is clicked) images inside of it. How can I do this? Would I use a div or what? I'm just learning so any help would be great. If I haven't explained well enough, I'll be happy to restate the question if you wish. Please help ! ) Hi, What are the possible locations inside a webpage for images? I know images can be directly inside the html tags, but where else there? Can I have images inside a table? If, then does it have to be inside a row? If, then does it have to be inside a cell? Can images be somewhere else? Is this kind of structure totally ok? Code: <html> <img /> <table> <img /> <tr> <img /> <td> <img /> </td> </tr> </table> </html> I test all of my pages on all of the most popular browsers. I believe that you can only have one version of IE installed per user account. I have IE6 running on one PC, and IE7 on another PC. Once IE8 becomes popular, I will test my pages on that too. Q. Can I have multiple versions of IE available on a single Windows XP PC? Do I need three PCs to run IE6-7-8? Q. How are you guys addressing this problem? |
