HTML - How To Make Cells In Tables From Expanding When Text Is Put In Them By A "echo"
I am having a problem with a web page that when I use the echo statement and try to output data to the web page in a table the data in the table pushes the data from another row down the page. What should I do to stop this from happening. I am using adobe dreamweaver.

I'm trying to do something similar to this webpage. ....If you copy ANY PART of the lyrics, you'll see the website's name and URL "magically" appear when you paste it. I want to do something like this. When I looked at the source code for the webpage, I got REALLY confused. Not sure if they're using a script or some CSS to do this. And I doubt I'll get a response if I emailed them, because (1) this site looks REALLY big, so they might not reply to emails, and (2) I don't speak fluent Japanese. I understand that there are tons of ways to do this but I really want the answer to the subject. What i'm referring to is a form that someone can print from the browser and "fill in the blanks" on the page where there are "underscores". My question is how to code those underscores. I tried manipulating the <hr> tag but it's putting way too much space in between each <hr>. I've already coded a "fill in the blank" line using <u> nbsp;</u> but that looks very messy. I'm trying to create a gallery and am not having much success. This may seem like a rather elementary question, but I'm doing a this for a school project and wanted some input on how this should be done. What I'm looking to do is to have a very simple text-input box on my page where the user would obviously type in some text, then a simple "post" button or something like that where when once clicked, the text typed by the user would just then appear above the box, possibly in a table? How simple/complicated is it to do this. I'm pretty familiar with html so once I get pointed in the right direction I should be fine. I don't want a blog or something where someone has to sign up with a user name or anything like that, just whoever visits the site can write text into the/a text input box and then it is shown after whatever text was typed by the user before them. (china, furniture, linens, ect..) Instead of gifts, we would like to be able to take a kick-ass honeymoon and have our guests help us. I've heard recently much talk about honeymoon registries in place of the traditional wedding registry. Guests bring gifts of money to the wedding to help the couple with their travel costs and to allow for extra perks along the way. Usually a couple needs to hire a 3rd party or pay their travel agency a % to set up and host it for them. I already have my own webspace, and I know my way around a bit of HTML and CSS, I figure with the right help I should be able to manage it myself. I've got hyperlinks triggering a JS function, using this code: Code: <A href=javascript:MyFunc()>Clickable text</A> The JS function I'm triggering is used to artificially update the browser history. (This is because of AJAX requests, and I'm doing it using the Really Simple History library.) Now, unfortunately, updating the browser history triggers IE's "click" sound. That would be fine except the hyperlink also triggers that sound, so you get two clicks in close succession! If possible I'd like to disguise one of them so you only hear one click. I can do this by triggering the JS function with a FORM button instead of a hyperlink. But then you lose the CSS attributes that you can decorate hyperlinks with. I want it as much as possible to look like a normal website. So what I'm after is a way to make clickable, "decoratable" text that triggers JS without triggering the click sound.
