HTML - I Need Help On Getting A Form To Automatically Post To A Page On My Website.
HI, I just started here... like two minutes ago.
I NEED help on getting a form to automatically post to a page on my website. So, i'm making a class website, right, and I need my teacher to be able to post stuff on a page and have it erase what was already on there (every week). My teacher does not know html, so I would like to have a text box automatically edit the page, I am a medium web designer... but I do not know ANYTHING about this, I have searched EVERYWHERE and couldn't find ANYTHING. It got so annoying that I gave up for about 6 months... until today, which is why I'm asking this. By the way, I would also like "Contact us" forms to go directly to my email, WITHOUT any CRAPPY websites (like the one I'm using now) any help would be very appreciated!! Similar TutorialsI'm a complete noob on coding so can anyone help me? I want a site to open in a new window as soon as someone visits without them needing to click on a link. Any help is very appreciated because im a total noob besides the basic commands On my website, I have an outside link. It's correct in HTML and then when I upload it and click on it, instead of going to www.google.com for example, it goes to www.mydomain.com/www.google.com instead. It's automatically adding my domain name to the beginning of my outside links. I already contacted GoDaddy and they said it must be something in the script, not one of their settings. So, how in the world do I fix this? I can't figure it out. After a user uploads a file he is automatically logged-out and re-directed to "destination" web page. Then the user can only select the Home link and re-directs himself to the home page. What code can I add to the "destination" web page (code below) that will automatically (in the background) move the user automatically from the "destination" page to the Home Page? (if you suggest I re-direct straight from the upload to Home Page, I'd rather go to destination page and then to home page) Thank you. Also, I tried this at the end of the page, but it didn't work: Code: header("Location: http://www.somewebsite.com/home/index.php"); exit; </table></html> Here's the full page code: Code: <html> <head> <title></title> </head> <link href="custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> </head> <body> <table width="770" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="maintable" align="center"> <td><img src="images/greyline.gif" alt="" width="174" height="0"></td> <td><img src="images/white.gif" alt="" width="596" height="0"></td> <link href="../style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /><style type="text/css"></style> <tr> <td width="174" align="left" valign="top" bgcolor="#A30100"> <form method="POST" action="index.php"> <input class='field' type='hidden' name='command' value='account'> <input class='field' type='hidden' name='param' value='login'> <br> <img src="images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="10" height="10"><a href="/home/index.php"><font color="#DDCEA2"><font face="Arial" size="2">Home</a></font><br> <td width="420" valign="top" bgcolor:"#000000"> [main_content]</td> </table> <td width="174" valign="top" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" align="right"> </tr></table> </table> </html> I have an HTML form in .asp page. whenever I save the .asp page the closing tag ie. </form> is automatically added after the opening tag ie. <form> as give below. HTML Code: <form name="ApplicationForm" class="appnitro" id="form_98697" method="post" action="CandInsertFormProcess.asp" onsubmit="return Validate()"> </form> <div class="form_description"> <p><img border="0" src="images/logo2.gif"></p> </div> <ul > I have used this form for over one year but the problem came up just after I formatted my PC and reinstalled Vista Service Pack 2. I wonder is there any problem with OS or something else. Please guide me any guy... Thanks in advance Riaz Hi, How in HTML can you force a webpage to scroll down to a certain point of the page when the page loads up. Is this possible in HTML. Once it does scroll down to the certain point, I still want to be able to scroll up and down AFTER it has loaded up...is this possible. Can someone please urgently help. Thanks Hi Guys really hope you can help I have a site which runs off a couple of templates and what i need to do is add some code into one of the ditable regions so that it will pic up the Page title and drop it in the body off the page. e.g. the page title is 'Monkey23' and i require 'Monkey23' to automatically show up in the Body of the page. I have hundreds of pages all with different titles and therefore manual titling is not an option. Anyone got any awesome code to help me? Cheers Tom Hi! I would like to know if it's possible to link informations located in an html file into another html that would be displayed on a web page. I'll explain my situation: I'm managing a simulated hockey league and the simulator I'm using generates after each simulation many html files that contains infos about standings, injurues, etc... What I would like to do is to, rather than putting buttons on my main websites to access the plain black&white html file, take the info inside these html and put them directly on a better web site interface, all this automatically. In a way that I only have to code once my main webpage so it can read my generated html files (that always keep the same file name) and updates my nicely designed web page each time I put newer htmls on my web ftp. Is it possible? Thank you very much for your help. Hello; I have text box & submit button in page_1 & I have text box & submit button in page_2. I want when write text in text box in page_1 it go directly to text box in page_2 & I want when click on submit button in page_1 it is like click on submit button in page_2. Assume page_2 located in other site www.page_2.com. How to do that.?? In mininova.org, when we scroll down the page, ad on the right side is automatically adjusted. How to do achieve this using html? I want to implement the same in my site? Any suggestions on the best way for me to put a rather large document on the web? It will have about 500 pages, looks like. Comes in 22 chapters of varying sizes. Currently all the pages are .jpg pictures. Html menu tree to chapters then sections then pages? Or just html links in a similar fashion - with thumbnails maybe? Or should I make one or more .pdf 's ? Or should I/could I put it in an SQL database and serve it up from there? ( A bit unlikely, I think - I don't get that much room with my host and I don't want to pay for more - but if it turns out to be the solution of choice I'd maybe go for it.) Or what? Hey guys, so right now i have a page that has some basic info and i have added a text box so the user can enter his/her name and a text box where they can enter in comments after hitting the submit button i want to post back the data the user entered into the text boxes to the SAME PAGE (indexJS.html) Right now after the user hits submit the page reloads but the data never is displayed. Can someone please tell me what i am leaving out or doing wrong Here is my code: Code: <html> <head> <title>My Page</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="one.css" type="text/css"> <script src="tricks.js"></script> </head> <body> <div id="section2"> <h2>Add some comments</h2> <form action="indexJS.html" method="POST" id="eventform"> <table> <tr> <td class="name">Name:</td> <td> <input type="text" name="name" id="name"/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td class="label">Comment:</td> <td> <textarea name="comment" id="comment"></textarea> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <input type="Submit" value="Submit button"/> </td> </tr> </table> </form> </div> <?php if( $_POST ) { ?> <ul> <?php foreach ($_POST as $k ) { ?> <li><?php=$k?> <?php } } ?> </body> </html> Everyone, An XHTML class project is posting to an e-mail address. We are attempting to have people visit this page and opt-in for email services such as our newsletter. The form isn't posting properly and isn't functioning correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Here's the code the site gives you to post into your content manager: <style> .link, .signupframe { color: #226699; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; } .link { text-decoration: none; } .signupframe { border: 1px solid #000000; background: #ffffff; } </style> <form method=post action="https://app.icontact.com/icp/signup.php" name="icpsignup" id="icpsignup676" accept-charset="UTF-8" onsubmit="return verifyRequired676();" > <input type=hidden name=redirect value="http://www.icontact.com/www/signup/thanks.html" /> <input type=hidden name=errorredirect value="http://www.icontact.com/www/signup/error.html" /> <div id="SignUp"> <table width="260" class="signupframe" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5"> <tr> <td valign=top align=right> <font size="1" face="Arial,Helvetica, sans-serif">*</font> <font size="2">Email</font> </td> <td align=left> <input type=text name="fields_email"> </td> </tr> <input type=hidden name="listid" value="11267"> <input type=hidden name="specialid:11267" value="FKCE"> <input type=hidden name=clientid value="693760"> <input type=hidden name=formid value="676"> <input type=hidden name=reallistid value="1"> <input type=hidden name=doubleopt value="0"> <TR> <TD> </TD> <TD><font size="1">*</font><font size="2"> = Required Field</FONT></TD> </TR> <tr> <td> </td> <td><input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit"></td> </tr> </table> </div> </form> <script type="text/javascript"> var icpForm676 = document.getElementById('icpsignup676'); if (document.location.protocol === "https:") icpForm676.action = "https://app.icontact.com/icp/signup.php"; function verifyRequired676() { if (icpForm676["fields_email"].value == "") { icpForm676["fields_email"].focus(); alert("The Email field is required."); return false; } return true; } </script> <a class="link" href="http://www.icontact.com"><font size="2">Email Marketing You Can Trust</font></a> Hi, I have created what I think is a valid form aimed at obtaining basic user info for a credit app. My question is, how do I get the info sent to an e-mail address? This scrip is picked up by checking the global $_POST variable for 'upload'. This works fine and my PHP script does the upload when I only select one file (using either one), but when both are filled in for some reason the global $_POST variable is empty, so my script will not run. Before looking down the PHP route I'm wondering if everything is ok with my form, or if there is some error that I am missing that is causing this problem? Any help is greatly appciated. Thanks. Code: <form action="" method="post" name="client-balances-selection" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <div id="current-balances"> <h3>Current client balances</h3> <input type="file" name="current_balances" class="file_upload" /> </div> <div id="past-balances"> <h3>Past client balances</h3> <input type="file" name="past_balances" class="file_upload" /> </div> <input type="submit" name="upload" class="button-primary" value=<?php _e('Compare'); ?> /> <input type="submit" name="delete" class="button-delete" value=<?php _e('Delete old files'); ?> /> </form> http://www.jabproductsonline.com/test/default.html At this site I have a web form that has two steps. Each just gets information, but the second step doesn't ultimately post to the url it's supposed to go to. What's up with this? I have the same type of web form working elsewhere (orange.977mb.com) but this one doesn't seem to want to work. It's posting to a https site, but you can see the code just by going to the web form and checking it out. If you fill in the information, make it clear that it's testing stuff Thanks! Is it possible in to "post" to 2 different Url's on 2 different servers from just 1 form on a html page? I have used form mail scripts elswhere with success. What would the html look like? I have tried a few different ways and have only been able to call whichever script location I list fisrt. Any help appreciated! |
