HTML - N00b Question, Conditional Statements In Html?

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I'm having making an HTML form?

I have been following directions on this website:

and learned to make a drop down box to my form. So far, this is it:

So what I want to do now, is have it so if the user clicks on Madonna under the "artist" drop down box, the "album" drop down box will let the user select one of Madonna's albums, but only hers (not any of the other artists' albums). And if the user clicks "Crass" then the "album" drop down box will change and only show Crass' albums, etc.

Is there a way to do this in HTML?

I am designing the site using notepad (no dreamweaver or anything) and I am running WinXP. My browser is Firefox. I don't really know anything about forms.

i have two radio boxes in a jsp using html and i want to make one checked based on a condition. I can do that in php but i don't know how to do that using jsp. Can anyone help me.

Hi all,

I need your help. I have created an HTML web form that's processed by a PHP script. It works absolutely fine but I now need to do add a couple of conditional fields on this in this HTML Form which I don't know how to. The first field in the form is Presenter's Name. Underneath this field, I want to have a checkbox stating "Click here if additional Presenters". As soon as this option is checked off, a new input text field should appear underneath it and at the bottom of the form, a text box should appear for additional presenter's bio. How do I do that?

Are there any control switching statements in html????

Hello everyone, my name's Jesse and this is my first post here on these forums and I'm really looking for some help here (as I can't seem to find any anywhere else).

I am currently using the Soul Vision v.1.0 theme. After running the W3C Markup Validator I see that there are a total of 68 Errors and 26 Warnings.

I really love this template and it works very, very well with my vision and content.

I don't know anything really about fixing or cleaning up any code (and yes I did try using HTML Tidy and it messed up my site so I had to reset it all).

Is there any one person who would be willing to help me make this W3C compliant for the sake of SEO?

I didn't include my meta title, keywords and description in the above header.php.

They were right before the first </head> in the middle/top of the code.

For example, from the W3C Markup Validator I get a lot of these errors:

Other errors include:

end tag for element "head" which is not open

Hi all, for some reason when I delete the comments from my code, it runs differently than when the comments are in there. I want a green horizontal navigation bar to appear at the top of the page, and when the comments are in there, my ul list is in default style. Can anyone figure out why this is happening? I'm having some serious issues using a tag to a website for one of my clients. I'm using the Code:

<sarcasm></sarcasm>

tag in some of my code, but it does not appear to be displaying properly in certain web browsers. Firefox and Opera seem to work OK, but IE and Safari ignore the tag completely.

I have over 5 years of coding in experience in HTML5, CSS, and HTML, but none in MSHTML, which is what I currently must use.

Has anyone else run into this problem in the past?

Hello,
I run a videogame server along with a website for content management. Right now im trying to find a way to display a page with a box inside it that transitions pdf files located in a file on the server. The file would follow as so http://www.voidcraft.net/other/rand/...3681823623.pdf
It would also have 4 buttons at the bottom one with a arrow pointing right that would transition to the next. one the the left which would make it go back to the one before. There would also be a approve and decline. The approve would email the email on the pdf or have a box pop up that asks for the email and then send the pdf to a approved folder. The decline would do the same except send a different email and send to a different folder.

I have no idea what so ever how to do this. I am only partially experienced in Html and this just goes over my head. Is there a chance that anyone could help me out here?

so... the question. When you log in, you have "Vote Points : 13"
when you go to "vote for molten wow" there are 5 Triggers (links to visit) which increment the Vote Points.
Isn't there a way to make an html, which can connect to the site... and connect to the account... and increment the points ?
Or I should find a way to make it with javascript ?

Here i threw in the tag style = "color:red;" into my dynamic print code in my jsp file. I'm trying to get just these links to change color when clicked. Is there a way to use vlink? I tried style = "vlink:red" which didn't work. Any help on how to make that happen would be greatly appriciated.
