HTML - Liquid Design Problem
Hi everyone. I am trying hard to use liquid design in my websites, so when I have a gallery of thumbnails, I want the number of rows of thumbnails to adjust according to the window size, avoiding horizontal scrolling. If you go to this url: http://www.surecarehomehealth.com/pa...ttheteam.shtml, you will see that resizing the window will do what I want it to. However, if you click on the first thumbnail, after opening that page, the thumbnails no longer adjust as desired. It seems that having that large image on top prevents this, but why? I can't figure it out. I can't see what would be preventing the thumbnails from collapsing to fit inside the window. Can anyone tell me why this is? Thanks.

So what files exactly do I need to copy to the new directory & then reference as a link in my navigation bar in all of my .html files? http://ebay.110mb.com/test/ I made some changes to the design and ended up mashing it! I just can't see where I have gone wrong .... anyone any ideas? I am working on an index page with menu for a friend and originally did the page an menu separately....I was able to get them to work together but when i do the In-Dreamweaver preview does not work...This is very important because she will need the preview to make her changes... Everything looks fine upon viewing in browser but no preview.... I think it probably has something to do with me using two different body tages with two different csses....Can somebody take a look and see if they can find my problem? Looking forward for your ideas... Thanks... Yespee Hello! I recently uploaded a site I've been working on in Dreamweaver- www.gmerch.net My question is about templates. Currently the page will display with the main content below the nav bar, and not to the right. I suspect this is an issue of having a liquid template and not a fixed one. Am I on the right track here? Is there a way to switch to fixed without having to copy all of the site content into a new document? Thanks! Toby Aloha! Would anyone kindly review this simple html and tell me why the liquid layout doesn't work? Thank You. The website address is: http://www.cse.dmu.ac.uk/~p04283218/mainframe9/ Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I would do this please. Thanks. Hi all, I'm trying to create a liquid design using tableless design, but im having a slight problem. I'm aware that you should use a div tag and set the width in percentages but i have two images in the header, so while the header div is set to 100% the images inside arent and therefore the website only works on the computer i have developed the website on. Is there a way around this problem. I have pasted the header code below: Code:

Code: #header{ background-color:#FFFFCC; border-style:solid; border-color:#000000; border-width:1px; height:130px; width:100%; } Hi, I am trying to create a liquid website. Eric Hi there Sorry, i don't know if this is the correct section of the forum to put this in. What I really want to know is, how do you get webpages to look like this: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/lov...ign-mpt=uo%3D2 Can this be done using HTML and CSS alone? I'm only referring to the design part of it, not what the page is able to do. Like play songs for example. Thanks Jackie xxx I know HTML pretty good and I can get by w/ CSS - but what else should I know for web design? I got into this about 5/6 years ago when I had to design a basic site for school so taught myself some CSS, we were using dreamweaver. I've been wanting to get back into it recently and was just wondering best way to do this? I was thinking about experimenting with maybe wordpress or another CMS. I'd like to get back into a bit of photoshop or fireworks as well not sure where I'll find the time but eventually maybe. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Hey all.. I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out what to do with my header area: http://showball.com Any suggestions? If certainly needs something more then there is now, there's to much empty space. Any thoughts would be certainly welcome. I seem to be a little stymied with this one.. Thanks David Hello, I've been working on the design for this website - http://www.keison.co.uk/test/ . The side menus are in javascript, which I realise is not a generally good thing, as this website's search engine rankings are important. However, my way to combat this is to use the text links at the bottom of the page (specifically the Product Index) to list the other pages on the website, so that technically every single page can be indexed via standard text links. My question is by doing the above, will this have any adverse effect on search engine rankings? Any help is appreciated. Bottom image pulls up nicely on FF and Safari. However there is a thin line that breaks the 2 background images. Try on IE9 http://www.seahosting.net Please help Im not so good with HTML or CSS. Can someone please help me make this layout? I will put in the contents myself I just need some div type layout. Can anyone please help me? =( . I just need the HTML file and CSS and I will use it as a template for my other pages. Thank you Can any one help me how to design web for mobile. I design a web by Frontpage, look beautiful in PC but can not read in mobile. Thanks in advance My website is split up into 4 parts. The top banner, the left menu, the right menu, and the center part. My left menu is floating left and my right menu is floating right. I want to add content in the center but when I do, the side menus are moved downwards. I tried floating the center but it pushed it past the left menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
