This is for a myspace layout (yes i know those are dreaded words to any web developer) . As the title says it works fine on firefox but hangs up severely on IE This is the only block of code i've added. If anyone can help i would appreciate it greatly!

Hi there, im trying to set up a new website to increase some sales and I am working with dreamweaver, a good friend of mine (also a small business owner) has given me access to his file directory and allowed me to use his templates and files from his webpage. I have changed all the pictures and the text to what i need and loaded it into my file directory and it looks wonderful in Internet explorer but in firefox (which is 25% of my traffic) it looks horrible, the boxes are all in the wrong places?? But when i go to his website it looks fine in both IE and firefox? I was wondering if anyone out there knew what what cause this? the site is alarmsecurityaz.com I am quite in shock that I just found out my page looks horrible in IE. I coded it myself, but I don't know what to do. If anyone could please take a look at the code for this page: http://www.thegearedinvestor.com I would really appreciate it. As you can see in IE, the second column is shifted all of the way down to the bottom, where it should be right beside the left column. The code for this starts at the line: <div id=centercolumn align=right> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://feedjit.com/coFilter/?bc=FFFFFF&tc=494949&brd1=336699&lnk=494949&hc=336699&ww=160"></script><noscript><a href="http://feedjit.com/">Feedjit Live Blog Stats</a></noscript> <br><!-- closes innercentercolumn2 --> I'll continue to work on it, but any help would be amazing. Thanks in advance! Hi everyone! I am trying to figure out what is going on here. I have this bit of code that works fine in Firefox but not in IE. The problem is that the icons appear on different lines. Just like I have a line break. Everything should appear next to each other on the same line. Anyone know what Im missing here... Code: <div class="printButton"> <a href="" target="_blank"> Document Center <img src="images/download_files_icon21x21.png" alt="Download Files" width="21" height="21" border="0" ></a> <a style="text-decoration: none"> • </a> <a href="<?php echo $currentpage ?>_print.php?id=<?php echo $_GET['id'] ?>" target="_blank"> Print Page <img src="images/print_icon.gif" alt="Print" width="21" height="21" border="0" ></a> <a style="text-decoration: none"> • </a> <a href="print_all.php?id=<?php echo $_GET['id'] ?>" target="_blank"> Print All <img src="images/print_all_icon.gif" alt="Print All" alt="Print All" width="21" height="21" border="0" ></a> </div> Any help would be fantastic! Thanks! I worked up a VERY simple site. Loads fine in firebox, but no IE. I'm at wits ends--what very simple thing am I missing? http://jewelofgardenlakes.com/ Much thanks for any help. -Brent Hi, Below code works in Internet Explorer but not in firefox. i want the text "USA Travel Agents:" to be appeared in the center of the page. Here is the html HTML Code: <table style='width:auto;'> <tr> <td> <INPUT type=submit id=save name=save value=Save class=btn> </td> <td> <INPUT type=submit id=delete name=delete value=Delete class=btn> </td> <td <INPUT type=submit id=clear name=clear value=Clear class=btn> </td> <td <INPUT type=button id=list name=list value='Shopping List' class=btn onClick='menuselected()'> </td> <td <INPUT type=button id=print name=print value=Print class=btn onclick="window.print()"> </td> </tr> </table> Obviously the css is the same for the 3rd button as the first 2 so I don't think that is an issue. Any ideas? I have my application GUI designed in html, launchable from a netscape communicator(Version 4.79). I t works by connecting to a backend process running on a specific port in a Solaris(5.8) box. The problem here is that the GUI window hangs frequently, and the user has to do a reload to proceed. Earlier, when the GUI was launched from my workstation, and was connected to a process running on the saem machine, I did not have any problems. Now that there is a central server where the process runs and all users(netscape acts as a client here) connect to it, I face this issue. The backend process is designed in a way that it can serve multiple requests simultaneously, and I know for sure that the number of people trying to connect to that process does not exceed the maximum possible. Hello, my problem is simple, my code works in Safari and Firefox but does not work in Internet Explorer. The code is supposed to open up my other site inside a frame when visiting drewandjess.net. Works perfectly except with IE... it just displays some text that should be commented out. Any advice would be appreciated! I would like it to overlap in ie as well. If I SCROLL in firefox, the maintable overlaps with the other table as well when table 2 becomes at position 20 px on scroll. In ie's case, on scroll the maintable disappears and doesnt stay fixed in position 20 px. help? See http://www.smoli.com I just added the SmoothDivScroll (jQuery add-on) to my page to create scrolling images at the bottom. Unfortunately as a result the table no longer resized correctly to the size of the screen, and the scrolling does not work. This only happens in Firefox, in IE8 everything works as it should. Any idea what is wrong with my code? Many thanks in advance, J. PS: Everything also works fine when previewed from within FrontPage 2k3 (the editor I use to create the page). Please help me out here - I'm probably missing something really simple but can't seem to figure it out. The problem page is located he http://www.thegoheens.com/cities/Woodbury Using the scroll wheel on my mouse seems to work perfectly with Firefox but when I try it in IE it does nothing. Am I the only one having this problem? Thanks in advance for any help. This is the first thing that I have ever written, so don't laugh and make derogatory remarks. The code works flawlessly on firefox and safari, but for some reason on internet explorer it doesn't even look remotely similar. So, please, any help I can get is welcomed. The problem comes when I view the page in IE. I want the bottom table to only be the length of the window as done in both safari and firefox. My site can be viewed on: http://www.fullvisual.com/informatic...tual_tour.html why doesn't the width=100% work? Thanks Hi Guys, Newbie on the forum - so cheers in advance www.cheesenugget.com/lifecoaching/index1.html i have tried everything and it does not display on IE 6,7 or 8 It shows fine on Firefox. Can anyone please shed some light on the issue - i have not added any strange script on it If you open this txt file in IE, you should see a nicely formatted page. When you open it up in Firefox, the horizontal rule is hanging out in no man's land. I've tried moving some div's around and creating a div just for the <hr> but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any suggestions? ps. sorry for having to attach the html as a txt file. i do not have access to host a site. http://www.ptacnik.com/index102.html When previewing through Dreamweaver in ANY of these 3 browsers it looks fine. (from my local drive) But once online it only loads in Firefox. Is there something fishy with the frames perhaps? missing an XML doc on my end? I can't figure out what is causing this.
