Similar TutorialsHow do I make a script so the submit forms that were submitted go to my email? If you need my whole html/php script to edit it, ill give you. I do not even know where to start for editing. Please tell me where I put my email to make it submit. If its a javascript please help me out. I've got a quick question. I've got a page with about 6-8 forms on it. Several of the forms are nearly identical, as they accept an ID number, or a selection made from a pop-up option list. What I want to do is collapse the identical forms into a single data entry area and then have several different submit buttons which have different values, then use the value of the submit button to determine what action to perform for the form. My question is... is this a proper use of the type=submit input element, or am I better off keeping the forms separate. All the forms call the same PHP script (itself) to perform the action. I'll be trying it out, but I don't want to waste time redesigning the page if what I'm trying to do will not work. Thanks. Hello, I am trying to create a form so that member can submit a file to our Yahoo! Group. However, I cannot get it to work. Perhaps that this is not even possible? I have an html file that can click on and after they have filled out the form, they would click "submit" and it would post that file into out Yahoo! Group file section. If this isn't possible, is there a way to have it bring up a page with all the information on it after they submitted it so they can just copy and paste? Thanks, DarkEdward I'm new to this forum and html as well... Might sound like as silly question... I'm an Android application developer. Recently i developed an app to track down the location of the cell phone using inbuilt GPS Receiver. Now, the user gets the coordinates and needs to enter it into a web site text input to get the exact location of his cell phone. I just want two input type="text" field and one input type="Button". inside input types, user needs to fill in Latitude and Longitude value and on clicking the button, a new windows should pop up with a google maps url like the following : - http://maps.google.com/maps?q=28.422523,77.102102 where 28.422523 and 77.102102 are two text field contents passed from input type="text". Thats it. I tried but on submission of the button, the url becomes http://maps.google.com/maps?q=28.422523&r=77.102102 which doesn't work since google maps cant resolute the url. I cudn't remove "&" and "=" sign and replace it with a ",". Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... I am trying to submit a forum through javascript, but the catch is I want to change the name of the button being sent through the form. Here is what I have here is the javascript function. Anybody see why it doesn't work? hey all, Thanks for looking at my issue, what i am trying to do is as follows! On my page http://cre8tivepixels.com/Quote%20form.html I have a quote form up the top, that works fine, i then added a section where models could send me three photos, when you click on these tabs it loads the photo up, but all i get is an email with the photo names but NO photos? What do i have to put in my script to make it so i recieve there jpegs, and not just the name of the file? Can this even be achieved? Basically i want the photos that a model submits to be delivered in my email address the same as my Quote Form above? Hope that makes sence? Cheers Dan I have a form and instead of clicking on a "Submit Button". I would like to have a text link that can be clicked to submit the action. Any ideas. My page contains several iframes and each contains a form. In IE (but not in FF), when I submit a form, the action page is shown in a new window. How can I make it so the action page is instead loaded inside the iframe? Hi, we're trying to put together a form on our club website for an upcoming event. People must register for this event. For some reason, when we click on submit during the trial run, we're sent to a "problem loading" page. It's supposed to go to a confirmation page so people can pay via paypal. I've compared the form code against the club registration page and another event registration page and everything looks the same. Where is our mistake? I can't find it. Here is the URL: http://www.houstonparrotheadclub.com...gistration.htm Thanks Until I die, I will never quite understand tables - if someome could shed some light on this it would allow me to keep what little hair I have left. I have a Table with some form inputs in it as outlined below, the problem is this, there is what looks like a 15px space on the right side and I don't know why its there. Two questions: Size="18" - 18 what? I read that these are the size of a space, but if it is, what is the size of a space? Second, width="50" - 50 what? I am assuming pixels, but with all the problems I seem to have with tables, I'm not sure. <fieldset style="width: 260px"><LEGEND class="legend"> <table width="260"> <tr> <td width="240"><input type="text" size="18" etc.> <td width="20 align="right">There is a 10 x 10 graphic here</td> </tr> </table> </fieldset> Hope I made sense, any help or guidlines that could ease my life with tables would be appreciated. Thx I have run into an issue email html code. It seems that some or all email clients use Quoted-Printable encoding when display messages. Quoted-Printable encoding will change the = the 3d= whick for most tags is not an issue. However, our cart provider uses a form for our add to cart, view cart etc.. and cannot interpret the Quoted-Printable encoding. What happens is the tag in there form ID="cartID" is turned into ID3D="cartID" when displayed in an email client... Which fails on our cart providers server. Any help, ideas or suggestions? Hey guys. This is my first post, so thanks in advance for any help I receive! I'm having some problems with a form I've created. The form itself, when submitted, doesn't actually have to be sent to a server, as it is just for a school project. However, to my understanding when you submit a form, the information that is collected from the form is appended in a string to the url at the top. My problem is that part of my form is not being sent. My code is below, the part of the form that is not being sent is the table that has the text boxes for date, item and quantity. Hi: This is with reference to my developing website: www.mesaeastpark.com Using MS Internet Explorer Version 7, I have no difficulty placing my Submit and Reset buttons with 'Position: absolute;' in my chosen position. However, when I check the same page with Opera, Safara, Chrome, and Firefox, those same buttons appear much higher on the page and obscure another input field This is very puzzling. To access the problem page: Please access my website, then - Click on 'Visit Us' - Cllick on 'Real Estate Services' - Click on 'Rent out Your Home' - Note the placement of the 'Submit' and 'Clear' buttons. In IE, they appear correctly: stacked vertically to the right of the <textarea> element In Opera, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, they appear far higher on the page, obscuring other input fields ( I will include below the markup for this page: Thanks for any hints on this puzzle ! I am a newbie to HTML and am having the most troubling time getting my submit button on my form to redirect to another webpage. I have been reading (searching) through previous posts on this issue but none solved my problem. I am really hoping someone can offer some help so let me explain my issue exacly. I have a simple form on my "Contact Us" page with a few fields and a [Submit]button. After the form is filled out and the [Submit] button is pressed, I would like it to re-direct to a "Thank-You" page I created. Below is my code: <form action="gdform.asp" method="post" name="contact_us" id="contact_us" target="cont"> <input name="submit" type="image" value="submit" src="images/Submit.gif"> If I take target="cont" out, it redirects to the home page. I have been trying to figure this out for so long now and searching online with no luck. Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated!!!! Thanks! Hi, I have a rather strange problem with Firefox and NEtscape. I am currently involved in developing a web site which compares financial products. We have a choices page where the users enter the choices and submits it and a results table come up after a DB query. This works correctly in IE 6 when we try it 'N' number of times. But on Firefox and Netscape after 7 or 8 tries the page gets submitted but we do not get the resuilts page but we end up with a blank page. When the users submit the form it calls a jsp which has a sinle frame whose contents are propulated from a GET call to an xsl/jsp file which queries the DB and populates the results. From the logs we can see that whenever the blank page comes up the results jsp is called but not the subsequent jsp/xsl to populate the frame. Does anybody know what can be problem? It works fine in IE but not in FF or N9. Any help will be much appreciated Results Page code: <%-- Define frameset with the properties of each frame --%> <FRAMESET rows="*" frameborder="0" border="0" framespacing="0"> <FRAME src="<%=bodyFrameUrl%>?<%=urlValues%>" name="bottomframe" scrolling="yes" noresize="yes" border="0"> </FRAMESET><noframes></noframes> This site can be viewed @ http://tnccat01.fsa.gov.uk/tables Cheers, Karthik I'm having a really weird problem with a standard submit button I'm trying to create. When I preview the site (GoLive CS3) the button doesn't always 'click' or 'depress' down. I can't figure out what is causing this. Anyone here ever seen this happen? i'm busy creating a form but, if i hit the send button i can only send it to e-mail. I want to have it so that if something is submitted it shows it on the page itself, Like if you make a offer on a site where you can buy stuff so other people on the site know what the highest offer is.
