HTML - Website Not Working Properly In Firefox!
Hi, I've just finished creating the layout for my website. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why my text does not fit in the boxes that I have created using layers while in Internet Explorer it seems to work fine.
Here is the link: http://www.geocities.com/seto.chaos/ And here is the code: Code:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; My default browser is Safari so I didn't notice the problem till now. I designed the site layout in photoshop and the site in dreamweaver and it works fine in IE and Safari but in Firefox the site layout gets split at the top of the page and you can see the background in a line. Now the layout has two CSS styles for content in the middle and sidebar on the left both have background color that matches the design #333 and #646464. These are noticeable in the split. The site is sv-photography.net Any one got any ideas on how to fix this? SebastjanV Hi guys this is my first post here, hope you can help. I am currently designing a websitefor the company I work for and the first page is almost completed with the exception of a little glitch. When the page first loads there are a few elements that are in the wrong place. Then when the page is refreshed these elements go where they are supposed to be. I have looked through the html and the css and can't find any problem as to why this is happening. I would really appreciate any suggestions as to why this is happening or how to fix it. If you need anything else just let me know and I'll post it. Thank you As you can see here Here is what it should look like but only does after hitting refresh I am having problems with my website http://www.cheapwedding.co.nz - menu on the left side seems to misbehave... It's kinda "jumping", i.e. sometimes it shows the way it should (words do not wrap) and sometimes the words wrap and it doesn't look nice.... when I refresh the page it sometimes fixes the problem, but it's not the solution. Please let me know what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks in advance for your help! P.S. I am using Firefox 3, and my webpages are made of included php files (header, footer, left menu, top menu, right side, etc.) I created a template with photoshop and saved into 1024 x 768 and worked it with front page. when i opened it in firefox the site is apearing at the left side of the window even if i edited in front page to be shown in the middle. In explorer it works just fine. ANy ideas please? I've been trying to get a design to work properly under Firefox for several days. Unfortunately because of ip issues I can't post any code. The basic problem is that I tell a table that I it to have height: 100% and it won't do it. Sometimes (not always) the table renders in such a way such that it is less than 100%.

...blah blah
Here's the annoying part. The problem is intermittent and goes away every time when I hit refresh under Firefox. Why should the page render differently just because I hit refresh? Also, when the table doesn't render properly, the links don't work. I have standard, nothing special links inside the table. When the table is misrendered and I click on a link, instead of transferring to that page, the table just gets bigger! It's as if the table were in a very delicate state, and if someone touched or sneezed on it the whole page would move and rerender. Very strange. None of this happens under IE. I know that many people think that when IE and Firefox disagree that I ought to go with what Firefox says, but really hitting the refresh buttons shouldn't make the page look different. Does anyone know what is going on, and perhaps how I could go about fixing it? I've tried many variations, trial and error combinations and dirty tricks. I have an html page and right above this page i placed an flash file by putting a layer above this file...now the problem is b/w IE and mozilla firefox. When i see my page in IE the links are working properly but in firefox links are not working properly becauz of flash file behind html page.....so can u plz help me out with this. Thanks in advance. Hello all! I was going to give my website a new structure, so i would be able to make more stylesheets, without making different HTML's. And to give my website more differences between the stylesheets, i decided to put the leftpanel buttons into the css stylesheet too, so i was able to give them different looks just by changing the css. So i changed the source (src) to an transperant .png file called "linky.png", and then i gave each button an id. Each ID was named the name of what the button refers to, and what it is (Example: ID="Homebutton"). Now as you can guess, each button can't be seen, only be pressed on. So i went to my stylesheet (Classic.css) and entered the names and gave them properties (look below to see an example). Code: #Homebut { background-color: #FFFFFF; background-image: url("Classic/Home.png"); background-repeat: no-repeat; } And i was really excited over the result. I opened index.html using Firefox, but my excitement was over. The buttons didnn't show up. All i could 'see' was my invisible button. I don't think that this is a really big and hard problem to solve, it's probaly just something i spelled wrong or wrote wrong. But i checked everything, and i couldn't find any things that looked like that at all. That's why i kindly ask you to help me. Download everything you need for solving my problem right here! If there is anything else you need to solve my problem*, just ask for it and i'll see what i can do. *=anything else than money xP I have an e-mail form on my site and when someone clicks the submit button I get sent two e-mails. Did I do something wrong or miss something? Here is the code I am using. Code: Name:

E-mail:

What kind of graphic would you like ?
Signature CS:S Spray/Logo Web Banner Other
Details:

Hello to all, I am new to the forum and I hope some of you experts can give me some advice. I use firefox and my website looks exactly how i want to in it, however I just noticed that in IE it seems as though my little spacer images arent working properly, is there any quick/easy fix for this? Im not exactly a "pro" so the easiest work around would be awesome, however i do have to get this fixed one way or another so any help is greatly appreciated. Here is the link for the site: http://infinityreinforcing.com/photos.html the projects line up perfectly in FF, but in IE it is a big ol mess, thanks in advance. I've got three drop-down lists in a navbar that displays properly in IE but not in Firefox or Sea Monkey. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The lists under "Historic District" and "Take Action" are fine, but the two items under "Blog" don't show up in FF or SM. The "Blog" links are external. Would that matter to FF and SM? The WC3 turned up the likely error, but when I added and/or removed a ul and/or li tag, I got strange results and was unable to fix the problem. If someone can explain what I should do and why I'd appreciate it. WC3 flagged the
tag after
Blog
because: "document type does not allow element "UL" here; assuming missing "LI" start-tag" Here's the site: http://west80s.org/ Here's the code: Code:

Home

Historic District

Proposed District

Support the Historic District

Gilbert Brownstones

West Park Church

330 W 86th St

Breaking News

Take Action

Hydrofracking

Support the Historic District

Join

Contact Us

Blog

Graffitti Removal

Beautificaiton

Thanks for any help. Ellen Good day, I have a test page for a website I'm currently working on, there's a video player on it that shows itself on internet explore but doesn't actually play the videos and on Safari or Firefox it doesn't even show itself. The webpage is located at: http://viloda.com/videoindex_portfolio_rtvnh.html and I think there's something wrong with the HTML. There's probably something wrong or/and missing but I really can't find what. The Video Player works perfectly fine locally, so the player made in Flash can't be the problem, I think it has to be code. So I was wondering if perhaps one of you could help, thanks for reading this over. Myself and my co-worker have been staring and digging at this for a week. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate any feedback. http://rwshome.com/mega/index.html You will see in every browser the top nav and right side nav CSS image rollovers function just LOVELY. Butttttt...in IE6, they do not work at all. I have combed the code about 50 times. I cannot figure out why it isn't working. We are at our witts end on this issue, so I figured I would register and see if anyone here could shed some light. On an even better note, we have this same CSS rollover code on about 60 other webites and it works fine in IE6. Weeeeeeeee! Sometimes, a pair of fresh eyes just helps and it's something simple. I hope that is the case. Thanks Pete Hi all, I've created a simple login with some free code i found online. I wanted to change the login button to an image, just for aesthetics, but no matter what i try, it wouldnt work - the form does make sure i'm entering the right user & password, but once i do enter them, i get the same page with an empty form. (if i try the original type="button" code, it works just fine) I've been googling it for hours, with no results... i've tried anything and everything. ANY help would do :-) this is the code: these are the buttons: WORKING BUTTON: NOT WORKING BUTTON: My website (3 below) looks different with Firefox than IE. The pics and text are not lined up correctly. I think it's because I used page breeze? Any pointers? Thanks. http://www.bringbackwendell.com/newsletter.htm http://www.bringbackwendell.com/links.htm http://www.bringbackwendell.com/gallery.htm Is it possible to get this website to work in Firefox? When the window gets minimized smaller, it's supposed to stretch to fit the new screen (in IE it works) but in Firefox it doesn't resize right... is there any way for it to work in FireFox? http://www.clockwork-chaos.com/paperclover My website (www.thebestpageyoullevervisit.co.nr) looks unorderly in Firefox, but looks fine in Internet Explorer. Some things that look unorderly are the tables which seem to move around, the text which seems to space out more than it needs to, and some words are pushed under pictures. Can anyone help? My website is http://www.unofficialguildwars.com Only just started it and it works fine in every browser except firefox. Ive checked the html i see no problems with it. Really confused on this one, any help would be great. |
