HTML - Web Site Design Coding Help
Hi everyone, I am to make a web site with five pages, with forms, frames, style sheets and jave script. *sigh* I have to have this done by monday( <=finals ). But I'm having a time getting started,I have a design in my head, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I want to make it something like the image in the attachment. But I want the image on the left side of the actual content. => How do I make this in the first image ? "howtomakething.JPG" With the background under a image? ( this is my freewebs site I have shown) and what I want to create the design is in the second upload. I hope I explained it clearly....
Sami ps, in the second image, the "pic" is the blue, the black is the content, green is navigation and the pink is what I want behind all that, the pic will be sorta transparent. Similar TutorialsHow do I begin coding a web design PSD? Any decent tutorials? I know that one could use Adobe Fireworks and slice up the images, but I don't have Fireworks. My website is split up into 4 parts. The top banner, the left menu, the right menu, and the center part. My left menu is floating left and my right menu is floating right. I want to add content in the center but when I do, the side menus are moved downwards. I tried floating the center but it pushed it past the left menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know if any one would like to make a web site for me i cant pay you. But if you would like The experience and or practice I would really like the Help. I tried all kinds of stuff I just can't figure it out. I used photoshop to make the layout and then spliced it. I know I need to resplice it since one of the image repeats its self when it shouldn't but that not the problem. If you click the link you will see what is wrong. Anyway, I need to have two separate columns of text in the main content portion, and I'm not sure how to go about it. Is using a table somehow the easiest way to go about it? Nick. hey guys - I was trying to add a little more kick to my website today and making the text appear in little windows I guess you would say - (I know the site is not complete and links are intentionally broken) if you look on the right of the page you will notice I added 2 table cells to round off the white - now the problem I can not figure out how to bring the white area over to the rounded edges whether I need to make the cell wider or if I need to add another cell - any help is appreciated. source: Http://www.medicalpracticeexams.com/index.asp Thanks Hi, basically i want to open an online clothing store via bigcartel. Eric I know HTML pretty good and I can get by w/ CSS - but what else should I know for web design? Im trying to copy the design of http://www.bluelounge.com but for the content instead of a page, i was trying to make it iFrame. Because i will be putting a streaming music on the Nav bar on the left, and its not going to be moving so its just stuck there while the iframe resizes and scrolls on different pages. What im having trouble with is, i have no idea on how to code the iFrame so that its the main scroll bar and i dont know how to automatically resize it. Hi i'm designing a static sub menu and thought it would be cool to get suggestions on what approaches you guys would take. The reason i'm asking is because i'd like to see if my approach exhibits efficient coding. This is an image mockup of what i'm trying to achieve. And this is what i'm thinking of doing. Thanks in advance guys. Hi My latest design is 2 columns one for navigation the second for content. My problem is with positioning. I want to be able to add an image at the bottom of the navigation column which will always be at teh bootom no matter how big the content area grows. The idea is my navigation will be at the top and the image or possibly images will be at the bottom. Is there an easy way around this with CSS? i could use tables and have it align to bottom but i don't want to use tables if possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated as the design is almost finished and i hope to make a start on coding this afternoon. I will post the example code soon for you guys to see how i've put it together and hopefully will just be able to change one line or somthing for me. CC_DESIGN |
