Similar TutorialsHi- I'm about four days into doing various tutorials I have found online. I'm trying to do a website for my business. I'm not even remotely close to getting to the point of what my question is about but I would like to design my site so that I could integrate this later. Please excuse me if this isn't in the correct place or I ask using the wrong terms. Here's my question: Is there a cover flow (like iTunes) code, script or whatever it would be that I could use on my site for visitors to view pictures of projects I have completed? Thanks- I've seen it done before.. so it is possible to do. And I need to know basically instead of a topic title with text, you'd have an image. I don't think it was just either because I tried that. And yes, I've searched on Google as well.. anyone have an idea? Also on a side note, are we allowed to have sigs on this forum? Hey everyone I was looking for some help. I am totally new to this but I want to set up a forum of my own. Now I only have a basic understanding of html as in I can use framesets and basic tags. Can anyone give me a helping hand at getting started, once I have the bear bones I am sure I would pick it up quite quickly. I have the latest versions of dreamweaver and frontpage but i still only use notepad, shoul I change my ways and use one of these? basically i really want to learn so any hints or tips would be great. Thanks in advance. I have made my site using html and css. I wanna make forums but dont want it to be external and want it to be part of my html page with same header and foooter. I DONT WANT IT TO CHANGE HEADER OF FOOOTER oF FORUMS. In other words I mean my forums to be integrated in html or when I click link on my html website in the same page the forums come. Any suggestion would be appreciated Hey guys! OK here's my prob, I made a role-play website using html where I have members who joined the site, before I went public a few friends joined to help me test my site out, so I made a forum so we can all chat but the problem is all my members have to resign up to chat in the forums (Very Annoying). So I need to know is there a way to link my forums to my website so that all my main site members stay in the forums part of the site so that they only have to sign up once (does that make any sense?). If you have any tips or info let me know I'll be very grateful for all your help. Thanks. ^_^ I want to create text boxs and radio buttons, but i dont want them being submitted to my email. One of the notable features is that web videos can be played directly on the web. Businessmen may want to add web videos to their sites for a better view of their companies and products. Web designers may need to add web videos to their sites to enrich multimedia content. Video fans may also want to create amazing web videos easily and share them with their families and friends directly. Some other people may even want to promote their products or websites by adding advertisements or links to web videos. Socusoft Web Video Player provides a perfect solution to the above mentioned. Socusoft Web Video Player is an easy-to-use yet powerful application for creating web videos with an embedded player which can be placed directly into the webpage. It enables you to share your video clips with your family and friends more easily, you may just send them a link of the video page. The streaming videos on your site can be played directly and instantly due to an embedded player. Below are some notable features of this program: -- Easy to use -- No flash knowledge or skills required -- Single/batch FLV video(s) input -- Single/multiple video conversion of various formats into FLV or other formats -- Add any video to your site -- Quick editing of video file properties such as adding target URL of ads -- Cool themes for web videos -- Rich parameter settings for web videos -- Show/Hide of video play list and playback feature -- Extremely easy to publish web videos and embedded player -- Convenient to get ready-made files for Dreamweaver or FrontPage Detail of the features: web-video-player.com Download the program: web-video-player.com or google search the program. Simple Steps to Publish Videos on Web Pages, Blogs, Forums, eBay Auctions, MySpace and More 1. Add Video Go to the first step "Video" and click the button "Add" to add flash video (flv) files. 2. Choose Themes Turn to the second step "Themes" and choose player themes for your video. 3. Publish Now you can publish web videos and the embedded player for your website or blog at the last step "Publish". As the way to embed videos into web pages or put videos on blogs, forums, eBay Auctions, MySpace and more, we will take one as an example. Example: How to embed your web video into the webpage? When you have finished publishing your web video, click the button "Open Output Folder" In the folder, there is a file named "fs_aux.html". You may right click the file and choose open it with "Text" program. You may also go to Start Menu>Programs>Accessories> "Text" program and open it. Then, drag the file "fs_aux.html" to the "Text" program. Copy the code highlighted above from "" to "" into your webpage. Note: 1. If you use Dreamweaver or FrontPage, you need to switch the mode from design view to code view. 2. You also need to copy all the files and sub-folders in the output folder to the same folder of your own html file. If you put these files in another folder, please change the code "sample.swf?xml_path=music video.xml" by adding correct path before the SWF and XML file. my website is totobay,u can google it,if anyone who has time, welcome to give some advice to me,maybe u can have a harvest in my website. This is my personal website for my clothing line, which I plan to launch fairly soon after everything is said and done. It's all hand drawn (sketchy), black/white, very simple website layout. What I want to do, is move the links (the images) as they are current inline with "Lit." I want the top of the T in "Lit" to be aligned with the top of the "T" in "About." Then I want my twitter and facebook links to be flush with the bottom of the "C" in "Contact" The only way at this point I see this functioning is with an IMAGE MAP, which I really don't want to do... It's not browser friendly. Is there anyway we can float some tables to do this? And which is the best way for adding an iframe inside the hand drawn border/box. I first tested the code by using a different image that I found on Google and it worked. However, when I used her image it was broken. The next option I tried was I used my photobucket account and make an HTML reference to the image. Even when I upload it to photobucket it gives me an error. So...I don't know if it's still my problem or possibly she gave me the wrong product. The images were .jpg. Here's the image code I tried: If it's not the code, then what can I do to make sure she gives me pictures that work? It works well in IE but not in Firefox. Anyone knows why? Thanks in advance. Hi, I'm not very advanced or anything, but I've coded websites before from scratch using Text Edit and an FTP client. I haven't done it for a few years and recently made a website with Cyber duck as the FTP client and SubEthaEdit as the external editor. I made a simple code for frames, and the site looks terrific on my Mac's Safari and Internet Explorer. When I checked it out on my friend's PC, it's just one big color background and nothing else. It also doesn't work on Mac's Firefox. I don't know what I did wrong, and how to fix the code to make it work on PCs or Firefox. Do PCs not recognize code that Macs do? Is there a way to change it? It's probably my fault, I just don't know what it's missing. I'd appreciate any help anyone has to offer, because I'm clueless and disappointed about it. Thanks, Jenny |
