HTML - Embedd Flash In Html - Spacing Issue

I'm coding a simple HTML email in BBedit. Everything looks perfect and opens up fine in most email client, Gmail, yahoo, hotmail... all but Outlook 2007. Apparently Outlook doesn't like HTML because it keeps adding an extra space between sentences and extra spaces after all my <p> and <br /> tags.

Does anyone know what code I have to add to fix this issue? I've searched the web for the past two days and can't find an a clear answer.

hey forum. first timer here with what i think should be a simple fix...but i'm frustrated and out of patience.

Hey there,
I've got a problem trying to embed a flash file into a webpage. Whenever I look at the page, the flash file (.swf) fails to load, and i get a (1 item remaining) message in the status bar.

If i go straight to the source of the swf file (its located on a different server) I download it and view it in the browser normally...

From that point, I can hit the back button and go back to the original page, and the flash is loaded and it works as it should.

I must do this for each browser opened up, so I'm assuming the flash file is stored in some temporary cache for each browser. Or maybe not, I really have no idea.

Of course, I'd like to flash to load without having to download it directly (literally going to www.domain.com/flash.swf and waiting for it to load)

If it makes any difference, I'm using the SWFObject method in order to view it without the gray border in IE. By the way, I'm experiencing this problem in IE 6.0, but it may be occurring for other browsers too, I'm not sure. I do not believe the face that I'm using SWFObject makes it fail, because I tried viewing it in an html page by just embedding it with <object> and <embed> and <param> and that failed too...

ok then peeps this is the issue...
i have created a page and want to play 2 separate flash files on that page...
it works on ie7, safari, opera but not Mozilla
it plays the 1st one but misses out on the 2nd one and dosen't show at all how mad is that??? as i said it works fine in all other browsers except Firefox...

I have a site I'm working on, and I have a flash demo movie that users can view. However, in Internet Explorer (so I'm told) You have to click once to "focus" on the flash movie, then you have to click again on the actual play button.

You can view the problem from IE6 he (not sure about IE7)
Click on the "view online demo" button below the header, and the movie slides out.

I would like IE to focus on the movie without clicking, so users only have to click once to "play" the movie.

Hi Guys, I searched through older posts but I couldnt find the exact answer I was looking for.


I am redesigning a few things on my website, the page I am referring to can be seen here - http://www.adamhuckle.com/test2.htm - I would like for the two images and their corresponding text to be next to each other (as they are now) but with some spacing between them.

Is it possible to insert colums parhaps? I would like them to be side by side but with some additional spacing in between. Any help is welcome.

Hi all...I amtrying to figure out why there is so much space around my form. It leaves a 1 inch space under the form...my code is below, I would like the cell of the table bel,ow the form to essentially touch the bottom of my text box...Thanks for any help!

Hi, i've been trying to solve a problem for the last couple of hours and it is driving me mad, I can't find any help anywhere on the web so thought I would give this a whirl!

After placing an image map on my page, I added another image below it, but there is a tiny black vertical gap (black being the bg color) between them.

I have tried changing the location of the <br> tag in the script, have tried aligning and pretty much everything else obvious and I have no idea how to make them touch each other. Any help would be appreciated.

the annoying gap is between the navigation bar and the largest image.

This appears to only be a problem in IE (i'm running version 8 on Vista)

I am having no luck changing the line spacing of a single paragraph.

I looked online and found something on using it in a div tag:

but everything else is with CSS.

What would be the simplest way to encode a paragraph with a smaller line space between lines?

I've just recently created my website with wix.com as my host, so it's all flash, but I would like to change my website to html. I really like what I have as the website so far, but I've found that it runs slow on many computers, so I was wondering if there was any way of keeping what I have(such as design etc.) but converting it to html somehow. I don't know much about web design, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
(and I don't mind changing my host if it's necessary, I just want a way to be able to keep what I've worked at without having to begin from scratch.)

My index is an HTML page that has a flash that runs for 5 seconds. After that it stops (on purpose).

I would like it to then goto another HTML page.

For some reason, I can't find out how to do that.

I can view the flash in my HTML script when I run it straight from my computer, but when I upload it I don't see it. I've tried it on three different web hosts. The directories are definitely correct. I don't understand why it simply won't work.
