Or alternatively a website that displays sites as seen in different browsers? is there like a slick way to view a list of files in a ftp directory in html code? Hello I have a website with coding for a login and registration page.....I was able to get the login to work but the registation I am yet to figure out....but now when I go to my website and click on a link no matter what link it is it always makes me go to the login page.....any ideas why this is happening? How do I display how many views a page has had on another page? So if I had a homepage and an about page how do I display how many views the about page has had on the homepage? Hello all. I am creating my page from home on my personal desktop computer. It has a 17 inch, HP v72 crt monitor. The problem that I am having is getting my page to look right on other computers. eg.,image/text/link placement. Example: My page looks fine when I view it from home on my own pc. But when I view it on my pc at work, everything is out of place. How can I create a website that will look good on all the various monitor sizes, and screen resolutions? Thanks! My webpage: http://beamsvillepharmacy.com/site/index.html Fits my browser perfectly, however when viewed on other computers with a lower resoultion, the page doesn't fit and is too large. How can I edit my code, or go about making it automatically fit with different resolutions? (Right now it's all simple width="" height="", and that's how I was fitting it) Thanks. Hello Folks, I'm not too sure which forum I should post this in, but hopefully this is the right one. I have created a horzontal Navigation bar using a repeating tile for the bottom of my page, which views fine on my hard drive. See screenshot attached. However, when I upload the page, the tile stops displaying and only the solid background shows. http://www.magicalwonders.com/Test2/Index.html I can't work out what is going wrong. I've tried renaming the file, deleting from the webspace and re-uploading, but it still refuses to display when uploaded. The other repeating tiles work fine, so I have no idea what's going on. Can anyone spot what may be the problem and save my sanity? Thanks, Myles Okay, I'm not exactly sure what these images are called, but in Opera, on most websites, there is a little image (usually the logo of the website), up to the left of the address bar. Is anyone able to explain how to get images there? Thank you. ______________________ Hi all, I'm a totally new user to HTML and CSS. I hope i could get some simple and clear advices from you guys. I create this website using manual positioning. Here's the link ---> www.danielgohdesign.com I would like my site to be in the center for all browser. What should i do? Thanks, Dan Hello, I'm trying to create a web page the old fashioned way - typing the code myself. However I'm having a problem: I can't make my page fit the browser window. The page is always a LITTLE BIT wider than the screen, creating a scroll bar across the bottom that's completely unnecessary. I'd appreciate help to eliminate this unnecessary sideways scroll bar. Hello; I am a graphic designer that codes pages quick and dirty entirely with tables. The one I am currently working on needs to be centered in all browser windows at all sizes. I understand that this shouldn't be hard, however everything that I have tried so far hasn't worked. My thoughts are that since it is built entirely in tables (with a java search tool) that I need to make a centered container and place the entire page inside of it. I have tried a few codes I've pulled from other forums with no luck temporary url (and I know the code is dirty) www.showcasepublishing.com/myoutandabout Thanks in advance Hello, I want to open a html page in a same browser window with fullscreen mode. I tried following code: window.open("hello.html","_self","fullscreen,scrollbars") However if I use _self, I did not get page in fullscreen mode. Any help is really appreciated. Regards, John Hi all, just came here to ask why is it that when I try to open my HTML file in Internet Explorer, which I created in note pad, it comes up with the code I typed it rather than displaying the actual page? Like for example I typed in this... <html> <head><title>Interspecies Conflict Videos</title></head> <body> <div align="center"> <img src="web logo.jpg" alt="Web Header" /> </div> </body> </html> And all I got was the code you see above you, there was no picture or anything. Hello I'm new to HTML Now straight to the point : I have a web page that looks too big when screen resolution is 1024x786 , but on the other pc (screen resolution 1280x1024 ) the same page looks too small and I have white spaces around it. I want my whole page with it's elements adapt to the browser window size and fit exactly to it ( I don't want to see that scrolling thing on the right or bottom ). You could just give me the link of the function/code I have to use. Here is my code if that helps. Code: <html> <title>AiiT</title> <body background="b.png" style="background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:center center; width: 1024px;height:768px;"> <div style="background-image: url('1.png'); width:764px; height:557px; position: absolute; top: 12%; left: 50%; margin-left: -382px; text-align:center; "><div style="background-image: url('Tr.png'); background-repeat:no-repeat; position: relative; left:30px; top:30px;"><img src="Her.png" border="0" style="margin-top:10px;"><br><br> <a href="en/"><img src="an.png" border="0"></a> <a href="lt/"><img src="li.png" border="0"></a><br><br><img src="Logo.png" border=0"></div></div> </body> </html> Help appreciated. Hi im aware how to fit the width of a page so it fills the browser window but im curious on how to set the height of the page? the width works perfectly and just the height im stuck with I have a terrible problem how to make this page resize whatever the resolution of the browser. I've already did liquid layout via percent but the height doesn't do it. They want the content to be scalable in whatever browser dimensions they want. Kindly help me. Thanks. I am currently on a resolution of 1280x1024 and I want it work for 1024x768. Well, I want it to work for any resolution, really. In fact, I noticed the problem exists when I go from maximizing the browser window to minimizing it. Here is what it looks like at 1280x1024 with the browser window maximized. Here is what it looks like at 1024x768 or when the browser window is less than maximized. See the problem? The two background images to either side of the banner image are lessening, as the resolution decreases or the browser window is decreases. Yet, the banner image remains unaffected. How can I make sure that the html is proportional to resolution, such that the background image on either side of the banner image remain unaffected in the manner in which they are currently? Thank you. Here is the HTML: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <title>Test</title> </head> <body> <table border="2"> <!-- table 1 --> <tbody> <tr> <td width="10%" style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(pictures\BG.jpg)"><!-- col 1 --> </td> <td width="80%"><!-- col 2 --> <table border="4"> <!-- Table 2 --> <tbody> <tr> <td><img src="pictures/banner.jpg"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>More stuff goes here</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </td> <td width="10%" style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(pictures\BG.jpg)"><!-- col 3 --> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <!-- table 1 --> </body> </html> hello, I'm an HTML novice who designed/maintains my own site without any expertise at all. One problem I can't seem to figure out: When the browser window is sized more narrowly than the content on the page, the table sections get shoved down underneath one another. Most sites I see don't do that -- when the browser window narrows, the site content stays in place. Any insight about what my error is? You can check out the problem at www.adamgwon.com. Thanks much. Was wondering if someone could look at this website and tell me what platform you are viewing from and is anything visibly wrong? http://voyageurwd.com/londonJeepClub.htm I made my own web site... www.mar-cela.com howver, when I open it with Explorer I cant see my jpg images, when I open it with Firefox all is ok. Any suggestions? |
