HTML - Link Html Info Automatically In Real Time Into Maine Web Page
Hi! I would like to know if it's possible to link informations located in an html file into another html that would be displayed on a web page.
I'll explain my situation: I'm managing a simulated hockey league and the simulator I'm using generates after each simulation many html files that contains infos about standings, injurues, etc... What I would like to do is to, rather than putting buttons on my main websites to access the plain black&white html file, take the info inside these html and put them directly on a better web site interface, all this automatically. In a way that I only have to code once my main webpage so it can read my generated html files (that always keep the same file name) and updates my nicely designed web page each time I put newer htmls on my web ftp. Is it possible? Thank you very much for your help. Similar TutorialsHi Experts! I have a very clear idea of what I want my html/JavaScript to do, but absolutely no idea how to accomplish it... so I'm really counting on your help! Here is the challenge: I have two text boxes. I want people to be able to type numbers in the first box, and while they type in the first box, I need the second box to immediately display the same number typed in the first box, but multiplied by 4. Is it possible to write a code that would perform such calculation in real-time? I'd greatly appreciate your help! Hopefully I can keep this from getting long winded. I would like to create a simple website that just about anyone could maintain. Say for example, the Contact Info page has a phone number on it that has changed, instead of the person who maintains the site needing to know and understand html programming, they can simply open a txt file with the contact info in it, change it and save it. Then the next time some loads the html page it has the updated info on the html page. The important thing to me would be that the imported text from the txt file, could be formatted once on the html page. Thanks, for any help with this. Hello, I currently run a shell script that generates a web page. I have never been happy with the layout and feel I could make it better by instead of having to parse each command into html to use text files. I have put some example code on pastebin and hoped someone could help me in getting the basics working, I know little about iframes and java. I would really love to have the items on the left to be clicked on so they expand and allow me to choose a more granular menu system that allows the items clicked to open in the right hand iframe, a bit like the IBM / HP ilo screens. I have no preference into the code type etc as long as it would be easy to generate the code for ie the menus. css would proved an added benefit as well. current page New look page Thanks Hello, I need to build a website that updates in real time, but I do not know what the best way to implement a solution that will allow me to do this. I have a program which constantly checks for new pricing data from an exchange and then writes this data to a mysql table. I would like to build a website which will display this data and be up to date. Ideally any new data would be 'pushed' and immediately reflected on the website but I would also settle for a slightly less ideal solution if it's significantly easier to implement. Can anyone suggest how I should go about solving this problem and what tools (php, javascript, ...) would be best applicable for each part? Thanks, Max This is free to use: http://www.tradelinksfree.com/htmleditor.htm Hey guys, I'm kinda new to HTML/CSS. I am making a website in Dreamweaver 8. I'm having trouble doing something, and I don't even know if it is possible. I made a page using CSS and DIV tags to define each pane. Now the center (main) pane will show whatever page you want to display (ie. Home, Media, Contact, etc.). I made each page as a separate HTML file (ie. Home.html, Contact.html, Media.html, etc.), is there a way to link each of these pages to the main pane (div tag) so I can keep all other panes unchanged (menus, banner, etc.) and just display the content in the mentioned center pane? Thanks! I want to send an email from an aweber list that includes a link for the user to download a file from my website. However, I don't want users to know the actual address(directory) where my file exists on the server). Right now when the user clicks on the link it automatically takes them to the address where the file exists and opens the file in a web page. How can I code the link so when the user clicks on the link it will automatically open a dialog box for them to save the file to their pc? I am having trouble with the following site here and the weather image at the bottom not being to the correct size. The image is hotlinked from another site, and I do have permission to do this! The image is automatically generated by scripts on that sites server every 5 minutes with new weather information. As my image has to always be a certain size and I suspect the original image located on the other website changes it's size as the weather updates, I clearly have a problem with pixel ratio's and an often unclear image... Thus, I would much rather scrap using the image and simply have the raw-text in this image on my site. If you look at the source for the site here, there is this piece of code: Code: <font face="Arial"><center><TABLE BORDER=1 CELLPADDING=5 CELLSPACING=1 BGCOLOR="FFFFFF"> <TR><TH colspan=4><B><FONT SIZE=+2 color="#0000FF">Weather Data</FONT></B></TH></TR> <TR><TH colspan=4><B><FONT SIZE=+1 color="#5">LAST READING AT TIME: 3:40 AM DATE: 21 December 2007 ,Time of next update: 03:45 AM</FONT></B></TH></TR> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Current Weather<FONT SIZE=+0></td><td>Night time\Dry</FONT></td> <td><font color="#009900"><FONT SIZE=+1>Current Temperature </td><td><font color="#009900"><b>3.8°C (38.8°F)</b>, Apparent temp 2.7 °C</FONT></font></td></tr> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1><FONT COLOR="#FF0000">Maximum Temperature </FONT><FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td><FONT COLOR="#FF0000">4.0 °C at: 12:00 AM</font></FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1><FONT COLOR="#3333FF">Minimum Temperature </FONT><FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td><FONT COLOR="#3333FF">3.2 °C at: 12:48 AM</font></FONT></td> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Average windspeed<FONT SIZE=+0> (ten minute)</td><td>0.0 kts (0.0 kmh)</FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1>Wind Direction<FONT SIZE=+0> (ten minute)</td><td>ENE (70°)</FONT></tr></td> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Windchill Temperature </td><td>3.8°C</FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1><font color="#009900">Maximum Gust </font><FONT SIZE=+0> (last hour)</td><td><font color="#009900">0.0 kts (0.0 kmh) at: 3:00 AM</font></FONT></td></tr> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1><font color="#009900">Maximum Gust </font><FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td><font color="#009900">0.0 kts (0.0 kmh) at: 1:52 PM</font></FONT></td> <td><FONT SIZE=+1>Maximum 1 minute average <FONT SIZE=+0> (since midnight)</td><td>0.0 kts (0.0 kmh) at: 1:57 PM</FONT></td></tr> <tr><td><FONT SIZE=+1>Rainfall <FONT SIZE=+0> (last hour)</td><td>0.00 in. How can I link a page on my website to these above changing details on another website and then format the text to my styles and use only the text which I need (around half of what is above? I hope I have made my dillema clear . I am in good contact with that sites webmaster therefore once I find a good method for doing this I will of course ask the webmaster for his permission again . How to link one page to another page in HTML? ------------------------------------------------------ Hey, I would really appreciate it if someone can help me with this. I have an ebay store and I want to use HTML to link my items to my store. "Click Here to View my Store" Can someone help me out with this. I dont want to put the link to my store cause that might be against the rules or something so in the store part of the HTML just put something like (storelinkhere) Thanks everyone I know its a really dumb question but im just not getting this HTML stuff. Hi there! I'm in the process of designing my first website, so I'm pretty green at this. I will have a number of internal and external hyperlinks links on my pages that I want to apply to rollover images. I have created the rollover images in Photoshop with slices, URLs etc. That all went fine, but here's my problem. When I save the image in Photoshop, the tutorial tells me to save the image as "HTML and images". This produces an image file and an associated HTML file that contains the script information for the actual image file. I can't figure out how to create an <A hef...> link or whatever is needed in my main HTML file that will get this "image" html file to show up in the browser and to call the rollover image so it works on mouseover. I've tried a number of options, but none seem to work. I assume that I need an <IMG SRC...> in there somewhere to call the image?? Any help on this would be awesome as I'm about to lose it over this one. Thanks! After a user uploads a file he is automatically logged-out and re-directed to "destination" web page. Then the user can only select the Home link and re-directs himself to the home page. What code can I add to the "destination" web page (code below) that will automatically (in the background) move the user automatically from the "destination" page to the Home Page? (if you suggest I re-direct straight from the upload to Home Page, I'd rather go to destination page and then to home page) Thank you. Also, I tried this at the end of the page, but it didn't work: Code: header("Location: http://www.somewebsite.com/home/index.php"); exit; </table></html> Here's the full page code: Code: <html> <head> <title></title> </head> <link href="custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> </head> <body> <table width="770" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="maintable" align="center"> <td><img src="images/greyline.gif" alt="" width="174" height="0"></td> <td><img src="images/white.gif" alt="" width="596" height="0"></td> <link href="../style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /><style type="text/css"></style> <tr> <td width="174" align="left" valign="top" bgcolor="#A30100"> <form method="POST" action="index.php"> <input class='field' type='hidden' name='command' value='account'> <input class='field' type='hidden' name='param' value='login'> <br> <img src="images/bullet.gif" alt="" width="10" height="10"><a href="/home/index.php"><font color="#DDCEA2"><font face="Arial" size="2">Home</a></font><br> <td width="420" valign="top" bgcolor:"#000000"> [main_content]</td> </table> <td width="174" valign="top" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" align="right"> </tr></table> </table> </html> Hi, I'm building a website for a Rock Band. They have a FORTHCOMING GIGS page, and a GIG HISTORY page. Can anyone tell me how, when the date changes, the information is deleted from the FORTHCOMING GIGS page, and then appears on the GIG HISTORY page. I know that this can be done automatically, I just don't know how. I think it might be a php script. Thanks Hi, How in HTML can you force a webpage to scroll down to a certain point of the page when the page loads up. Is this possible in HTML. Once it does scroll down to the certain point, I still want to be able to scroll up and down AFTER it has loaded up...is this possible. Can someone please urgently help. Thanks HI, I just started here... like two minutes ago. I NEED help on getting a form to automatically post to a page on my website. So, i'm making a class website, right, and I need my teacher to be able to post stuff on a page and have it erase what was already on there (every week). My teacher does not know html, so I would like to have a text box automatically edit the page, I am a medium web designer... but I do not know ANYTHING about this, I have searched EVERYWHERE and couldn't find ANYTHING. It got so annoying that I gave up for about 6 months... until today, which is why I'm asking this. By the way, I would also like "Contact us" forms to go directly to my email, WITHOUT any CRAPPY websites (like the one I'm using now) any help would be very appreciated!! Hi Guys really hope you can help I have a site which runs off a couple of templates and what i need to do is add some code into one of the ditable regions so that it will pic up the Page title and drop it in the body off the page. e.g. the page title is 'Monkey23' and i require 'Monkey23' to automatically show up in the Body of the page. I have hundreds of pages all with different titles and therefore manual titling is not an option. Anyone got any awesome code to help me? Cheers Tom Hi, whenever I use a website called 'spy Omegle', I want to have a javascript file that types in whatever question I tell it to type in. the source code for this page is below: Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/frameset.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>Omegle</title> <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"> <link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/static/favicon.png"> <script type="text/javascript"> var splitDomain=document.domain.split(".");if(splitDomain.length>1){document.domain=splitDomain[splitDomain.length-2]+"."+splitDomain[splitDomain.length-1]}var flashingTimeout=null;function isFlashing(){return flashingTimeout!==null}function startFlashing(){if(isFlashing()){return}flashing=true;var b=[["___Omegle___","/static/favicon.png"],["\xAF\xAF\xAFOmegle\xAF\xAF\xAF","/static/altfavicon.png"]];function a(){var c=b.pop();document.title=c[0];setFavicon(c[1]);b.unshift(c);flashingTimeout=setTimeout(a,500)}a()}function stopFlashing(){if(!isFlashing()){return}clearTimeout(flashingTimeout);flashingTimeout=null;document.title="Omegle";setFavicon("/static/favicon.png")}function setFavicon(b){var a=document.getElementsByTagName("link");for(var c=0;c<a.length;c++){if(a[c].rel==="icon"){a[c].href=b;return}}var d=document.createElement("link");d.rel="icon";d.type="image/png";d.href=b;document.getElementsByTagName("head").appendChild(d)}; var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-1307731-4']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? It's just a temporary stop-gap measure, though. --> <frameset cols="100%"> <frame src="http://odo-bucket.omegle.com/"> </frameset> </html> this should not be hard if im not mistaken I would just change the text for it to type in the html file, the website does not need to be opned aswell when the html file is launched i would obvioustly learn HTML but i don have time at the present because of college work, etc for reference: the page is at www.omegle.com then click 'spy mode' and you will get a textbox on the page i want the file to return the question in a loop because it saves clicking the file all the time Hello, I want to create this website, using the mailto tag, the user will input the info in the text boxes then click on the submit button and mail the information to what ever email I specify in the mailto tag(is that correct, can malto do that?). But I want to take it a step further and the email in the textbox the user filled out it would be sent email about more information on what they came to the website for, can this be done in html? if so how, hopefully this made sense to everyone. Thank you hmm is there a way to do this so i have a text link <input type=button onClick="show()" value="hide"> when the user clicks on the button it calls some javascript which shows a div (not relevant!!). is there a way so that you click on the same button again it calls some different javascript e.g. hide() ?? I know about onFocus, onBlur etc but this is not what i need. Below is the current code I have. I havent coded in html for 6 years. Can someone either add or show me how to add a submit button that emails the info on that page to my email. I have been asked by a friend to build him a website, and right now I am a total faliure. I also need a reset button on the site that clears the info in the boxes. If someone could either just do it for me, or show me how i'd really apreciate it. Thanks everyone.
