HTML - Problem With A Form
This is my first form so to speak and i am having a problem. I am trying to have the form data send to an email address when the user clicks submit. However, when i tested it i receive a Postdata.att file...instead of the form data in an email. I dont know what i am doing wrong. Is there an easier way to do this.
I would greatly appreciate some help! Here is my code: form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="mailto:caleb@meshowventures.com"> <label>Full Name:<br /> <input type="text" name="Fullname" size="50" value="" /> </label><p> <label>Email Address:<br /> <input type="text" name="Email" size="50" value=""/> </label><p> <label>Interests:<br /> <textarea name="comment" rows="6" cols="40"></textarea> </label><p> <label>Would Like a Yard Sign: <input type="radio" name="YardSign" value="Yes"/> </label><p> <INPUT TYPE="submit" value="Submit"/> <INPUT TYPE="reset" value="Reset"/> </form> Similar TutorialsWorking on the next version of my site... I am building my first site for my buisness. I am building the site from a template. There is a contact form I want to use and I am having problems with getting it to work. When I test and submit the form I get the email, but there is no information from the input fields. The thank you redirect is working ok. The email comes in blank with no text from the input fields. This is my first time setting up a email form. I have spent hours searching and I have finally raising the white flag and going to ask the pro's here. Thanks paul Hey i'm wrting a simple iphone app (http://geo877.wsnw.net it will kinda run on Firefox and safari. NOT IE) I have a page where the user inputs some data using a form. I was trying to write a script to do the whole flick through page thing (where a users just drags the screen to change page). Anyway, the point is when i put the form into a div tag with the properties of position:relative; you can't click on any of the dropdown boxes or text input, i've read other people have had this problem but it was a pay for answer forum...The same problem happens when i put it in a table edit: It also causes the div or table to be above everything Thanks! <style> .dragme{position:relative;} </style> <div class="dragme"> <table id='mpc' style='display:none;' ><tr><td> <form action="index.php" onsubmit="return validate_form(this);" method="post"> <table> <tr> <td>Amount</td> <td><input type="text" name="amo" size="9" ; /></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Unit</td> <td><select name="unit"> <option value="Oz">Oz</option> <option value="Gram(s)">Grams</option> </select></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Metal</td> <td><select name="metal"> <option value="goldS">Gold Spot Price</option> <option value="silverS">Silver Spot Price</option> <option value="platS">Platinum Spot Price</option> <option value="fineGold">Fine Gold Price</option> </select></td> </tr> </table><p> <center><input type="submit" value="Calculate"/></center> </form> </div> Hi! I made my login form xhtml code. The problem is that IE ( i tested on IE6 and IE7) shows space ( i dont know if a say word "space" with my meaning, i mean space with line space not space like between words) after FORM, but Firerfox dont. How to resolve this that spaces are equal because i want to control this space with css without this extra space. But when i put that "Forgot password" and "Register" before </form> then all is okey, but i think its not good because it then will bellong to <form action post etc. and its not neccesary. I really dont know. Sorry for my bad English. Thanks Code: <h2>Login</h2> <form action="logincheck.php" method="post"> <input name="username" type="text" value="username" /> <input input name="password" type="password" value="password" /> <input type="submit" VALUE="Login" /> <br /> <input type="checkbox" /> Remember me </form> <a href = "forgot.php">Forgot password</a><br /> <a href = "register.php">Register</a> Hi Ya, I am trying to validate the telephone number for a form. I would really like some help. You see when i leave the telephone field blank the code error message comes up telling me that i cant leave that field blank. When i then put in illegal characters it says that i used illegal characters but instead of clearing the feild, allowing me to type the correct phone number and then moving onto the getradio if statement it goes to receipt page when the submit button is clicked instead of doing the validate checks first and then moving onto the receipt.html page. This is the problem area. Code: if (form.phone.value == "") { alert("Please enter your telephone number for shipping Information."); form.phone.focus(); return (false); } else { validate(); } if (getRadio("pay") == null) { alert("Please choose a payment method."); return (false); } return (true); } //--></script> <script language="javascript"> function validate() { if (isNaN(parseInt(this.value))) { alert("The phone number contains illegal characters."); form.phone.focus(); return (false); } } //--></script> The below code is for the form. The code that I am using is shown below. Each radio button in the age group has a label next to it stating what the value of the button is. In addition to this I want to include the question "Are you over 18?" which I am presuming is another <label>. However what do i put for the for="???" bit because the two radio buttons which it is associated have different ids (ageY and ageN). Can someone advice me on how best to approach this problem in terms of accessibility please? I have a main page in which I have a named div(workplace) where I call a html form page. Once the form page is called in the "workplace" div, the form is working, I can submit the entries to the database but the javascript validation doesn't work. Let's say these are our offers, each of them having several options (different cars, with options for color, extras and etc.). I need to also put INSIDE these forms a checkbox so that I can compare DIFFERENT car offers. No I know it is not possible to nest forms. I know that most probably there is a very nice solution using JavaScript, but this functionality needs to work with JS disabled. The only idea I had is to put labels, each of them linked to another form, that has checkboxes for all the offers and a submit button. This actually works perfectly, but only if the label is text. I need it to be a checkbox, and when I nest a checkbox in the label tag it works in Firefox only So ... any ideas? Besides the obvious one - use a single form and submit ALL the offers (which I find to be a very ... ugly decision). This is my first post, so thanks in advance for any help I receive! I'm having some problems with a form I've created. The form itself, when submitted, doesn't actually have to be sent to a server, as it is just for a school project. However, to my understanding when you submit a form, the information that is collected from the form is appended in a string to the url at the top. My problem is that part of my form is not being sent. My code is below, the part of the form that is not being sent is the table that has the text boxes for date, item and quantity. Thanks again in advance for any help!
