HTML - Trying To Use A Tiny Image In My Div Tags Border...
At this guys website he has his "My Personal 100% Money-Back Customer Satisfaction Guarantee" that I'm trying to recreate. It's halfway down the page.

He got it to repeat all around the inside of the div. When I try this in Dreamweaver I can only get the image to go along the left or the top of the div's border. Can someone help me recreate this? I have seen this type of layout on many sites but i can't for the life of me find the code being used. Source code states that CSS is being used but i am wondering if HTML can be used instead. This is only for the sake of simplicity. I don't mind using HTML. The page is built and functions as follows: 1.Black background 2.Logo in center, hyperlinked 3.Site info in tiny text at bottom The page does not have a cursor(s) and the image/logo is always centered whether window is toggled in floting or maximized mode. I can't seem to find code that will enable this feature ie: automatic centering of image in the middle of the page. Also the image is protected. You canot right click it, only click on it to be lead to another link. Last but not least, the source is completely blank or in other words protected. I would like to know how this can be done. I could probably find out about most of the code if lead in the right direction but most importantly and to begin with is the code used to automatically center an image in the page and have it displayed without cursors on the right or bottom. I've read all over various ways of making the image and the text align horizontally, yet somehow I can't get the darn thing to work in my website. I'm thinking it maybe because of DIV tags I have the following code: <div class="column1"> <div class="column2"><img src="images/logo_sm.png" border=0 height=97 align="bottom"> It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. But in IE there's a "border" which is blue, and with mouse over it's red. Like all the other links on my site. But I don't want this "border" to be there, just like in Chrome. I am trying to make my title text very large to make a statement - maybe 5 cm high. It doesnt seem to matter how big i make it in my nvu editor, ( in the normal screen mode) once i upload it to my webspace online it only appears at a much smaller size. I can make it so the title literally fills the screen in my nvu editor and then upload it to my webpage and it still restricts the maximum size it shows it at. Does it sound like i am doing something wrong in my nvu html editor or should i be using some html text in the source mode to make the large text recognisable to my webspace, ie: using some font size comands? HTML Coding: Code: <TD align=middle width=104> <DIV align=center><A href="Link"><IMG class=avatar height=75 alt="" src="Image URL" width=75></A></DIV></TD> i'm looking for a cheap way out of making collapse/expand code. i've learned a lot of 'ghetto' techniques n thought mayb i can use something similar to the html tricks i've learned in the past. the theory i have is.. i use the title of the collapse/expand text as a link to the text below it to open and close by using the navigating tags: Code: <a name="content">opening/closing text here</a> and the title above the content: Code: <a href="#content">Title</a> to open the area of text. now my idea of a shortcut around the whole css/html/javacript combo is to make the text below it use a Code: <font size=0>content</font> at default and have the href title link change the font size to the default 9pt but I don't know if that's even possible. Is it possible with the Code: <div> tags? and if so, using that, would i still b able to make a link like that? |
