Once my users put in their information and hit submit it pops up a window saying thank you which is the recieved2.php. I want to know if I can have the main page redirect to another page on submit while having my thank you message pop up at the same time. Thank you Code: <form action= "received2.php" method="post" name="form1" target="_blank" class="style1" > Hi everyone, I'm new here and so far it looks great! What I am trying to do is to make an HTML tracker. Sort of like the Where's George thing. It's a little keychain with a serial number on it, so if someone finds one, they enter the number on my website then send it on. I know it probably needs to be a cgi form, but I am new to HTML and have done no cgi. I would like it to display the results automatically on a new page. So all in all, you enter were you found it, and the number; then it displays all of it's stops on a page. Thanks. Hi. Im not sue if it has anything to do with HTML. But when I post an ad on CL, or any other web site of taht kind, is there any way to keep track of how many ppl opened my ad? I'm allowed to insert any HTML code in my posts. Thanks What is the best way to track visitors for free? Right now I have a site that uses ONLY html. The host provides a tracker, but I think it's trash and they push their upgraded service for way too much money. So, I'm really looking for a free service that won't put a pop-up or huge banner, etc. Thanks for reading. I have designed this page http://www.colletts.co.uk/submit/upload.shtml allowing our staff to upload doc's and photos back to the office easily for blogging and tweeting. When you click the submit I wanted to display a shadowbox with a loading.gif until it redirects to the submission success page http://www.colletts.co.uk/submit/sub...n_success.html Any ideas? Mas i've designed my page as: HTML Code: <div class="yesVisible" id="loginFormDiv" name="loginFormDiv"> <form method="get" id="loginForm" name="loginForm" onsubmit="validate(this)" > <input type="text" size="10 /> <img src="login.gif" name="loginImg" id="loginImg" /> </form> </div> And the validator function is as follows: Code: function validate(form) { var v= document.getElementById("loginFormDiv"); // print a line saying loggin in and show an icon in the login div v.innerHTML=" <h1> loging in... </h1>" + "<img src=\"loadin.gif\" />" alert("validating"); // later other ajax code will be here return false; } But unfortunately this code is not working...........What should i do ???? This code is intended to let users a feeling that they are loggin in...... The website will be made for: http://www.favourite9site.com/blog helllo, again i have a website where there is a link to a *.PDF form, The customer can fill in the form and hit "submit by mail" , it works perfect i recieve that data via email xml. but NOW, I've had some customer that don't have email access and want to be able to submit the form via internet.. i know it can be done, i have read lots on that issue via adobe website.. but i really dont understand the steps, the way they explain it is very complex and i would like someone to guide me if there is a short cut or atleast tell me step by step.. i use adobe professional 8 and I have adobe livecycle too.. please help, thanks I'm trying to impliment a work order system on my website, and example can be seen here of the work order system beta i'm working on, http://www.army.mil/oldguard/workorder/pworkorder.htm I need to be able to assign a work order number automatically that will not only go in the e-mail that flexmail sends out from the form, but also lets the user know what their work order number will be. Also, the work order number should not increase unless there is a successful form submission. The army is paranoid so we have no access to asp, php, perl, or cgi on the server, has to all be done with ajax, javascript, and html. The only other 3rd party software is felxmail and all it handles is the sending of the information fed to it via e-mail. Thank for any help you can provide. Hey guys, I've got some files which are in a password protected directory inwhich the directory has a generic username & password I'm after a way I can track who has accessed the site or more specifically who has downloaded the file/s . Is this best done using SQL and if so can somebody please explain the steps or direct me to a script ? Cheers in advance Hi, I've set up a pop up calendar which I want to use to generate a delivery date that is then displayed on another page. I've set up the calendar and when I choose the date from the calendar it's stored in a field. You can see it he http:// www. market-stalls .co. uk / calendar / deliverydate . html Is there any way I can use a submit button and onSubmit to store this data and print and display it on another page? Thanks! Ok, I'm sure the title was very vague, but I didn't know how to ask this. Lets say, for example, I have a view count for certain page on my website that is automatically generated. I want to take that number, and have it also automatically generated on another page, that links to that page. So say I have a page about elephants that has a view count of 57. I want to have on another page a picture of an elephant (that is also a link) and beside that picture, I want it to say View Count: 57. Is there some type of javascript or html coding or something I can do to make this happen? Please help. Hi I have a web site which captures visitors details currently using Formail, the online version. This ensures that all fields are entered and sends the information to me in an e-mail. The web site was created in Net Objects Fusion version 7. I have some web design experience but not that much. I can ammend HTML rather than start from scratch. I am testing a product called Salesforce.com which has the ability to capture leads and populates a contact management database which you use as a sales tool. This has the advantage of doing away with the e-mails, having to print them off and re keying the data into our current sales sytem. Salesforce.com lets you generate some HTML which you plug into your web site, which I have managed to do. However, it does not validate the fields so someone could leave everything blank which would then create a blank lead record in Salesforce.com. I have been told that i need to amend the HTML by hand but do not have a clue where to start. If anyone can either help me out with the HTML or suggest a better solution I would be very grateful. The HTML it has generated is below <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <!-- NOTE: Please add the following <META> element to your page <HEAD>. --> <!-- If necessary, please modify the charset parameter to specify the --> <!-- character set of your HTML page. --> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <!-- NOTE: Please add the following <FORM> element to your page. --> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <form action="https://www.salesforce.com/servlet/servlet.WebToLead?encoding=UTF-8" method="POST"> <input type=hidden name="oid" value="00D2000000060Zj"> <input type=hidden name="retURL" value="http://www.withdeanfc.co.uk"> <!-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --> <!-- NOTE: These fields are optional debugging elements. I created my wesbite using Dreamweaver 8, and i am having problem with a "form/submit" option. I've created a form inside a "DIV layer"(inorder to be able to move around). I want the form to be able to ALERT the customer that he/she is missing a "required" field, when they hits SUBMIT BUTTON and be able to go back and "enter it" and then when they hit the SUBMIT BUTTON and all the required field are listed then it will SUBMIT the form and OPEN the POP UP WINDOW. NOW here is the problem both scrips are working but they are conflicting each other, When I go to my site and HIT the SUBMIT BUTTON without entering any fields A POP UP WINDOWS comes up and tells me i am missing the field "WHICH is what i want" but then instead of letting me go back and enter the field, it automaticly submits the form and a NEW WINDOWS comes up with the "forms submission result" and I then recived an email.. Now what can I do to correct this? How can i make it work properly? is there another simple script? i thought maybe the problem is on the ONSUBMIT action? If i have to re-write everything again i am willing to do so! I just don't understand, why does it submit the form if there are "required" fields missing? why doesn't it let me go back and type in the field and then do the rest? I have static HTML generated code from a 3rd part website via some php code that I am given. I would like to customize this code (which is all in table format) as much as possible so that I can make it look ALOT BETTER... with CSS or maybe even some Javascript or PHP code of my own. I just don't know what is possible or maybe this is not possible... Here is an example of table html code that gets generated that I have: http://www.acne-skin.org/testtt.php Thank you for any help, Travis Hi Folks, I've been trying (to no avail) to add social media icons to my site. I can't get any of them to work individually, much less together. I have a feeling that something with my css is preventing them from showing up. They're not displaying in Firefox or IE. I've cleared the cache, regenerated the iFrame code from the twitter, facebook, etc. and reposted but I get nothing. The odd thing is that I have an iFrame Google Calendar that shows up perfectly on the page directly above where I'm trying to add the iFrame social media icons. Help? My question is is there a way to make the text a certain size (white space around it on the page) and static on the page instead of it resizing and filling the whole web page? Thanks Hi there! Anyone know where i would put this: onsubmit="return checkForm();" I think the code is right below! Feel free to hack away if anyone sees any problems? I'm not exactly sure how to explain what I want. lol. I've seen it on sites before, but can't think of a particular site to point to. But I can explain! On some sites, you might be reading an article or something, and there is a word that is underlined and turned into a link i.e. I'll be reading an article about animals, and the word "gorilla" will be a link and when you hover over it, it will either show you a definition, or point you to a wikipedia article of "gorilla." Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I really want to implement this into a forum of mine that will point members to, if nothing else, a definition of what a commonly used word is. Any clues? thanks! Hey there, I am now taking care of a website that someone else built in the past. This website has a schedule that has dates and the events organized into tables. These tables are not so small... Now, i am asked to flip the table around, meaning to change the order of the data to the exact opposite This is a tedious task to just cut and past the <tr>'s one after another in the source code... Does anyone know of a peice of software that would be able to perform this task automatically? you know, flip the table around to the exact opposit of what it is now? for instance, if my table were like this: 1 2 3 To have it: 3 2 1 |
