HTML - Adding Hml Links In A Text Box?

I'm fairly new to HTML and need help with adding text below the images I have. I am running a white backround with a gray box that has six images side by side. I want to add text below each image in the background. Can anyone hel me?

How can I add "Alt Tags" to text.
Easy to do to images but can't figure it out on text.

Anyone know how to force a long piece of link text to wrap on to the next line. Only seems to be a problem in FireFox. Here is the offending page:

By the way, the content is generated by the client via content management, otherwise I would stick in a <br />.

When I place links on my bands myspace page the link text displays on the page vertically instead of horizontally on some computers. It displayed correctly (Horizontally) on the PC I created it on, but when i view it on other PCs the text was vertical.

Here is the page. It's the white text near the top. (Add To Friends, Send Message etc.)

I know this is probably really basic stuff .. but i need different colours for the link, rollover and visited state.

But i dont want them to be the same throughout the page, i want each to be specific set of colours.

Just point me in the direction of where the answer is .. i dont mind reading up! Thanks.

I just need a basic code for this. For what I presume is basic anyway.

On MySpace, I'll insert links, and MySpace will automatically make it a hyperlink, but won't allow you to visit certain links that you click on. How do you prevent it from being a link and so that it's just text? I thought <nohtml> worked, but apparently it doesn't exist.

As you can see I have two pics here and the name of each player below each pic.

How would I be able to have 4 pics accross with each (4) names below each pic.

The way I am doing it now is that I use Photshop to place two pics on 1 canvas (don't know if I am doing this correct). The players links use to be a yes and no. So I guess I am cheating. I don't know.

Would I use a table? I have been trying to play with the code but can't figure it out.

Please help and if you can be as newbie friendly as possible, I would appreciate it immensely.

I am using dreamweaver for editing the code, the file has php in it, and it also has a css file to let you know.

I have a HTML with the body part written in Hebrew.
A am also using a tool which reads this HTML, but does not understand Hebrew characters. My question: is it possible to convert these Hebrew fonts to something else (like ASCII for instance) to allow my tool to understand these characters and at the same time would allow a browser to understand the content of my HTML, too?

I'm trying to position text, links and pictures to follow one after the other, but it doesn't work.


I want to see

"Homepage" on the left corner of my webpage
"Next" on the right corner of my webpage

Unfortunately this command doesn't work properly.

It makes the "Next" go down a line, instead of being in the same line of the "Homepage".



Also, on that vein, is there any way I can align images and text on the same line without using spaces*?

As in:

But they all should stay on the same line. Any guides, or even links to tutorial about my issue would be appreciated. I've been trying to google for a while, it's becoming frustrating.


*I think the problem with spaces is that people with different resolution would see the text in different places than I want them to see.

I need help. I have a page but its centered. I still have white non used space on both sides that i would like to use to post links and what not but im not too great with tables. My test website is down below.

Id like to keep the same dimensions of the page where it is now, but need to be able to use the blank white space on the sides to post links and extra text and what not.

Can anyone help?

sorry I am pretty new with this so I hope I can explain what it is I am trying to do here.

I've recently been tasked with creating a 'note taking' html template at work, to assist with note taking for operators in a call center. I was selected due to nobody else having any understanding of how computers work beyond using microsoft office, go figure : /

Anyway. Basically what I am trying to do is be able to create a basic htlm template which has a text box, and some 'radio' buttons and check boxes which assign text when selected.

Example, we take down notes when clients call up and speak with someone. We would have say 2 check boxes to cover things like "Full name of client confirmed, confirmed clients details". If the phone operator clicked these 2 buttons, it would copy that exact text into the text box. If they clicked one, it would only copy that.

There would also be a 'radio' button, "Transferred client directly to desired party, transferred client to extension without employee contact" would be the options for example. Basically only 1 option can be selected, and that option would populate the text box if selected.

I'm also looking at hwo to create a button with a 'reset' feature to basically wipe everything clean so it can be started over once the operator takes another call.

So far I am able to create a form with the text box and buttons, but I don't know what code I need to look at to assign text to those buttons.

It's an easy idea, just need to get my foot in the door as I haven't really touched html since I was finishing high school year ago. Anyone able to assist, i would imagine it's not as difficult as I am makign it out to be

I am working inside Macromedia UltraDev as this is waht I was taught with over a decade ago.

Problem started when I set a fixed background image to the page . . . dropdown menu still displays, but everything else (text & pics) in table seem to be hiddden behind the background image.

Hello again, I did this site in Dreamweaver, looked fine in my dreamweaver editor, uploaded it and voila everything goes nuts.

List of Problems: The Links are not positioned properly, not big enough plus the drop downs to the bottom and not to the right. That was properly my fault since I just copied a suckerfish method... But can someone help with this.

If you study the News Header in the CSS, it says it has a background image, how ever it doesn't show when I uploaded it. I know the url and the pic is correct cause it worked in Dreamweaver...

The background for "welcome" is all the way up there which isn't supposed to happen, it supposed to be right on top of the Hello text but that isn't happening either.

The hello and welcome are supposed to be aligned to the left of the right header.

Thats about it, please can someone help me. I've changed the format of this like 3 times just to get it correctly done, but nothings working.
