HTML - Working On A Html Ebay Auction Template, Very Confused

I am working on an ebay template... The images are not displaying whatsoever. Everything is linked properly... look at my html and see if you can figure out what the problem is...

Hi, i had an existing ad that I made with turbolister, i tried a template and added two pictures and a background, i accidently deleted the pictures off my computer and messed it all up. So i restored everything back and it is still missing on ebay. i should tell you that i was not using a online host just my computer to store the pictures, it seemed to be working fine until being the doo doo i am messed it all up. So i tried again and once it gets online its not showing the pictures. The backgrounds are there but not the pictures. I am so lost. Please any help would be appreciated. The backgrounds are also only stored on my computer but remain online in the listing. Its just the pictures that I am having problems with, maybe it is impossible to be offline and only have your computer as the host??? Not sure.
You html people are amazing it is soooooo confusing.

I am having some difficulty trying to use html on ebay listing, i am new to html and its my first time i have tried producing something within it, i have designed it in web expression 4, i will include a link to my ebay listing and explain what the problem is.

Somebody told me my item description covered the whole page and somebody else said they had to view it on a tiny scroll bar to read through it.

Hi,
I have put together a HTML page in Dreamweaver for Mac to act as a listing page to sell on Ebay. When I copy this into the description box in Ebay the page appears well ove the Ebay boundaries. There appears to be a specific area within which your description must appear but I can't make it fit. I've tried removing the 'head' and 'body' tags as an Ebay guide says that these are automatically input for you but that then removes my page formatting, fonts, image placement, etc. Does anyone know if there is a specific code that you need to put in to your listing to make it fit the page or if there is anything else im supposed to be doing.

Can I put a code in my ebay items so that the whole advert document (eg. item1.html) Can be externally loaded in.

This way I can change the look of all my adverts by replacing the html files on my server and without having to touch ebay at all.

Hi all, I have a slight problem with homework, I am supposed to edit my html file, which I did then up load t to the webspace. For some reason I can't get the logo to work and I don't know how to upload it to the webspace correctly so you'll see the work I did. I also have a index.htm file they had me to use. Which caused more confusion..... I'm using core ftp I really wanna learn this! I have the code I will submit and the page design...it's a simple page for now. it's in the word doc, I 'm sorry I don't know how to put the code below in a scroll box.....

Hello,

I am learning HTML coding from a lynda.com video class and I am a little confused.

The instructor keeps saying that different browsers don't support all the tags in the same way. This makes no sense to me. The whole reason that we had the desktop publishing revolution with standardized page layout and fonts (Postscript) was so that anything printed anywhere would look the same.

Now, I'm learning that this is not the case with browsers. Isn't this like 2 steps forward and 1 back?

I'm befuddled...

Any insight into this lack of compatibility would be welcome. I mean even OpenOffice will read Word documents. Why can't we all just agree on the same standards for our browsers?

I really appreciate any help with my HTML. I put together a listing on eBay in HTML with a program called Sellercore. It's an HTML what you see is what you get editing program. I don't know how to use HTML all that well so I am not sure what is causing my problem. When I load the html in my firefox browser in "preview my eBay listing" the listing looks good. When I view it in Google Chrome it is all the way to the right of the screen when it should be centered. I have had nothing but problems trying to create this template because every time I view this in my browser something is off. Everything finally looks good, other than it is not lining up. I used the HTML code of another page from someone else/ basically to get the outline/border of my project. Then I deleted everything inside, and added all my own stuff. I hope I have given you enough info as to why my listing is off center. Thanks for any help

I've created a website in Dreamweaver using templates. When I apply the template to a page and preview it (in IE or FF) the drop-down menu (Dynamic Drive menu) doesn't work.

It works fine on pages where the template is not applied though.

I have a problem pulling external vbscript into an html template. I have various .vbs files written in vbscript, in a function library. Each .vbs file contains many functions that do a variety of things. Every function is documented with the following format;
'Function Name
''Purpose
'Date
'Author
etc...
What I need to do is create an html template and populate the template with the formatted documentation only from each of the functions. Unfortunately, this isn't as easy as using src=filename.vbs because I'm trying to access the documentation only....not the script itself.
Does anyone have any ideas?

so i need help with this .. what i want to accomplish is have everything with a width of 750px and each item to go after one another .. i thought a table would make that happen but it doesn't seem like it does .. on some previews it shows that it goes straight downward, but i think on larger resolutions it doesn't.

Problem #1
The dimensions of the blog image thumbnails are compressed on the x axis with word wrap set to the right side of the image on the main/index page. When you click on the html link that takes you to the full blog page the image is displayed OK. Do you have a suggestion on how to correct the image size displayed in the thumbnail mode?

Problem #2
Video screen on right side bar of main page is cropped so can't see full video. I think it is preventing the viewer from access link to Vimeo site.

Problem #3
Reduce left margin to maybe 10 or 15 pixels

Problem #4
Can the Gallery delay rate be slowed by approx. 1 sec
