HTML - Phantom Space Reappearing

I have (what is probably) a very simple problem. On my site at www.stairworks.ca No matter what I seem to do, I keep getting this phantom 'space' between the pictures for 'gallery' and 'profile' I don't see what can be the cause of it in HTML, and if I try just removing it in WYSIWYG, it just reappears when I go to preview. Any ideas? (Ps. I didn't write the site, I just wanted to update it) Similar TutorialsThe layout of my page, like that of many pages, consists of a bunch of divs inside divs. Whenever I specify the width or height of a div, there appears a space to its left, three pixels wide. This gap also appears when I substitute a standard image (img) for a div. Some of these divs are floated left; others are not. In the latter case, floating left actually gets rid of the space, but causes other problems as I don't really want those ones floated left. Setting the borders, margins, or padding to zero (or a negative number) does not affect the 3px gap. I am using IE7. So Here is my situation: I have been fighting to update my meta tags. But then I caught something funny? Check the meta tags under these two addresses: www.lightingbryan.com << this is the correct code www.lightingbryan.com/index.html << this is the wrong code look at the top. the index.html has some meta tags that I seem to have included somewhere. The main issues is isnt those two address the same page? When I go into DW I see the www.lightingbryan.com code. how do I get rid of this phantom code. PS (I manually erased all meta tags from the .com site then manually added the right codes.) Also The reason this bothers me is when I click a link from in the site I get taken back to the .html site. It seems google is using my .html meta tags which I do not want PLEASE HELP! Hi all, I'm throwing together a website for a client and am relatively new to contact forms. I managed to get one working and somewhat styled decently, but for some reason the submit button isnt showing up when I upload it, even though it shows up fine when i preview it from my local folder. In alle browsers BUT firefox, this displays fine.. in firefox its cancelled out for some vague reason. Thats weird right, but the weirdest thing is that only in firefox (when looked to at firebug) there is something i only can describe as a "phantom class" Its only visible in firefox, and it has a weird name " ednfltlufdujmlipsfpd" ... so, what the pancakes is going on? i almost went crazy trying to troubleshoot this one... thought i'd share. Turns out a "space" at the end of the link text pushes the text upwards slightly. Simply remove the space (or add on to the other line) or use the space code [ ] The css also plays a part, this doesn't appear happen when text is "unformatted" Just moved the site to its new server and added the navigation... now suddenly I have some spacing at the top and I need another set of eyes. http://www.phinfever.com/newsite Note*: Spacing not visible on IE7... it is on Firefox3 Hi Experts, I am facing some problem in the row spaces. This isn't merely an attempt to sound like something from "The Matrix", but I'm continuing to work on my companies website and for some reason in IE when I place a picture at a certain place the web page give me enough room to scroll the page right. (There isn't anything there, it just has a scroll bar at the bottom and you can scroll the whole thing right leaving it half off the page looking at just background.) P1 page is smooth but P2 page is not. Hare is white space at the uper side and lower side of the images. How to remove this space? Please Help. One under the other... the issue is in firefox there is a space between the columns of each table.... but its fine in Internet Explorer. Say you have a footer div(or any other div for that matter) and you want say 3 links and a copyright statement, by using the Design GUI in dreamweaver not but working directly with source, so for examaple in your div you have, copyright 2009 coolffdesign contact us friends links etc........... Now if i put the cursor directly after say 2009 and try and add more than one space then i cant i can only add one space so the best i could have would be, copyright 2009 coolffdesign contact us friends links which i obviouly can't use as it is unreadable... I guess you have to work with css to solve this but shouldn't i at least be able to do this in the design view in DW, what is the best/right way to solve this?? thanks I want to save some space by avoiding rewriting some code that connects to server and database etc. Is there a way to do this in html? I know you can do somethihng similar in java (methods at end of program or seperate from program with new 'public stat...'). I just finished my website and inserted so flash in it before I inserted the flash everything was fine after I inserted the flash a lot of space was created under it I used the layers method because I need my flash to be on top of something. But for some reason alot of extra space is created. I tried this on a different website on mine too and the same thing happened. Here is the link have a look at it. Notice the extra space under the stickman the white space between the stickman and the footer if you can't tell then open any different page like the updates because that doesn't have the stick man. I have included two seperate very basic tables that I don't want much space between, but as you can see on the page, something is going wrong and there is a huge gap in between the two tables. This only seems to happen in Internet Explorer as Firefox automatically fixes the problem. If anyone can figure out a solution for this issue, it would be much appreciated.
