I am working on an ebay template... The images are not displaying whatsoever. Everything is linked properly... look at my html and see if you can figure out what the problem is...
http://www.tegbs.com/template.html Similar TutorialsHi Guys, Just trying to create a template for my ebay auctions to coincide with my new website - www.heavenlyboutique.co.uk As you can see from the ebay template (click here to preview) I've created it to look similar to my main website. Unfortunately I can't seem to get all the table boxes to lineup, e.g. - payment and delivery are in two columns side by side but unfortunately they misalign when you view them in Firefox and IE. I've always come to HTML Forums for help because you guys seem to know what you are talking about and offer great advice, please could you have a look at the html coding and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in Advance! Hi: We are having a problem with an eBay Custom Storefront template. HTML is not one of my strengths, so if we could get a little help it would be greatly appreciated. At the top of our template it shows our feedback number as well as several icons such as "top rated seller", about me, store icon, etc. This feedback number should change when we get a new feedback, it does not. Everywhere else in eBay the number changes fine and the code looks the same to me. I think the section of code below is the relevant section. The store address is www.connectibles.net if you need to see more code. Or just post a note and I will copy more code. Much thanks, Bill <TABLE id=frameheader cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD><IMG src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v145/wpaprints/ebaydesign/left_up.gif"></TD> <TD id=logo><IMG src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v145/wpaprints/ebaydesign/logo.gif"> <TD id=r_head width="100%"><B>connectibles is maintained by:</B> <a href="http://myworld.ebay.com/connectibles">connectibles</a><img src="http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gif" width="4" border="0">( <a href="http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=connectibles">6712</a><img src="http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/icon/iconGreenStar_25x25.gif" height="25" width="25" class="mbg-star" title="Feedback score is 5,000 to 9,999">) </span> <span class="mbg-l"><b><img src="http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/icons/iconTrsMini.gif" height="19" width="56" title="Get fast shipping and excellent service from Top-rated sellers."></b> <a href="http://pages.ebay.com/services/buyandsell/powersellers.html"><img src="http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/icon/psIcon_50x25.gif" height="25" width="50" alt="Member is a PowerSeller" title="Member is a PowerSeller" border="0"></a> <a href="http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=connectibles"><img src="http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/aboutme-small.gif" height="8" width="23" title="About connectibles" border="0"></a> <a href="http://stores.ebay.com/connectibles"><img src="http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/icon/iconStoresNW_20x20.gif" height="20" width="20" border="0" title="eBay Store"></a> </span></div></div></div><P><!--*************description*********--> dear all i've taught myself some very basic html to use in my ebay listings (via turbo lister). at the moment i have an image inserted into the bottom of the listing that shows my feedback and also my terms etc (i use a pic so that i can change the image, re-upload to my server and therefore update all of my listings at once if necessary - i also use other pics so i can use funky fonts). what i'd prefer is to have a tabbed pane at the bottom with tabs for each section of information, e.g. payment/postage/returns etc. and i guess the contents of each tabbed pane would have to be an image in order that i can still update and reload as above? i don't know of any other dynamic update method... i've found LOADS of info on tabbed panes but i can't fathom how to use in the context of the listing template. can anyone help? i'd be very appreciative... thanks, naomi p.s.if anyone's working in this area i wouldn't mind commissioning a whole new listing template/shop design, but not at frooition prices p.p.s. my code (don't laugh, i'm a beginner!!) <P align=center><A href="http://www.stores.ebay.co.uk/stegnome"><IMG border=0 src="http://stegnome.com/ebay/logos/headervaluvintage.jpg"></A></P><FONT color=#804000 face=Verdana><FONT color=#804000><FONT color=#000000><FONT face=Verdana><FONT size=3> <P align=center><IMG border=0 src="http://stegnome.com/ebay/products/2010-08-17topsdresses/001.jpg" width=600><BR><ALIGN=CENTER> <TABLE style="WIDTH: 600px"> <TBODY> <TR> <TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: black 1px solid; Okay, basically I am computer illiterate and I need some help from you guys on my ebay auction template. Here is a link to one of my auctions. As you can see, it looks somewhat old and needs revision. I need someone to help me make a new table or whatever it is called. I want this auction to look good, look professional. I need anything, something to make it not look so boring and I have no clue where to start. This template is what I use to list all 900 of the parts I have active in ebay. From the part that says description inside the grey bar, all the way down the the part that has our store link right above the item pictures. Here is a link to the part that needs to be changed: here. Im sure its an easy process, but I am just not too sure how to change it. The guy who made it before me is no longer with us, so I am stuck. Even a finger in the right direction would be great, I have no clue on how to change the way those tables and and borderslook. I am willing to compensate anyone who can help me with this problem. All I want is a good looking auction that is both professional and stylish. I am going to include the html in a post right below this one. Thanks, Jason I'm about to rip my hair out on this one. I'm using Dreamweaver 8. I have navigation that is using image rollovers to swap. My images that are needed for the rollover to work are in my "assets" folder in the "root" directory. However, when I create the actual html page off the template it is looking for the image in "templates/assets" and therefore does not find the image to swap. I have a number of different navigation buttons and I inserted them all the exact same way. This is the only one that is having this issue, the rest work properly. This is the code that resides on the templates page. Code: <p class="navimage"> <a href="../logset.html" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Log & Grate Set','','..assets/menu/log_over.jpg'',1)"><img src="../assets/menu/log_default.jpg" alt="Log & Grate Set" name="Log & Grate Set" width="158" height="34" border="0" id="Log & Grate Set" /></a></p> Notice the Set','','..assets/menu/log_over.jpg. This is the code that is produced when you create an html page from the template. Code: <a href="logset.html" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Log & Grate Set',Templates/'','..assets/menu/log_over.jpg'',1 For some reason it is adding the directory templates, and therefore does not find the image. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks, braves07 I'm in a computer science class in college, and we've been using python for our coding, but we've recently started to use html to create web based applications, with python. We're also using google's app engine for assistance. I've recently downloaded a free template to make my website look better, and this came with the html, and the css. When I load my website it seems to be taking all the formatting from the css, but not the images. So basically it is nice text and format with no images. I'm not sure what's wrong, the css is being referenced in the .yaml, as well as my images folder. I'm not sure what you guys would want to see from the code, but if you need to see anything please ask! Thanks in advance for any help. Hi All, I have got an issue where my images are not showing when debugging the site, every time i place a new image i make sure the path to that image is correct i then check in design view and i can see the image but when i launch the site the images do not show? Could this be down to my browser? Any ideas or suggestions would be highly appreciated. Lee Hi, i had an existing ad that I made with turbolister, i tried a template and added two pictures and a background, i accidently deleted the pictures off my computer and messed it all up. So i restored everything back and it is still missing on ebay. i should tell you that i was not using a online host just my computer to store the pictures, it seemed to be working fine until being the doo doo i am messed it all up. So i tried again and once it gets online its not showing the pictures. The backgrounds are there but not the pictures. I am so lost. Please any help would be appreciated. The backgrounds are also only stored on my computer but remain online in the listing. Sandi why doesnt ebay use headers? h1 h2 ect.. I viewed the source and was surprised not to find a h1, h2 or h3 ect.. I am just wondering if anyone knows why eBay isn't web standards compliant? Hello, I am a total HTML noob so please be patient I use mocrosoft front page to edit a HTML template that I got off the web. Basically upload pictures to photobucket and paste the HTML link into the template. update the description and upload it to eBay. I am looking to add an image gallery ( thumbnails and once clicked or moused over they enlarge in a big window above or below them) but I am not good with HTML at all. I found some free source code on the net but I don't know how to integrate it into my template or even know if it can be done. I tried using the image gallery that is built into front page and it seems ok when in the normal mode but when I switch to preview the pictures are gone and I receive script errors. when I look at the source it is pointing to a file on my C: drive instead of the images in photobucket. I have no idea how HTML works but it seems that the source should point to a file or files on a website because it can't pull images from my hard drive once it's uploaded to ebay. i plan to take some classes on HTML to learn more but in the meantime your help is appreciated. If you have any easy methods to setup an image gallery or tutorial it would be a great help Thank you Adam Hi I'm kinda new to all this. I can see this being the first question to a lot of questions and hope you guys can help. Firstly... Can I put a code in my ebay items so that the whole advert document (eg. item1.html) Can be externally loaded in. This way I can change the look of all my adverts by replacing the html files on my server and without having to touch ebay at all. Kind regards John Hello, I must explain something in advance so that you understand me better... I use a german auction management service called Afterbuy ( something like merchantrun.com or auctionsound.com ) ...to list items on eBay. That web based service supports predefined headers, footers and variables to minimize the work at each item. After I've set up a new item that way I can see it in a preview. That preview shows it exact the way I want it and expect it. But when I upload the item to eBay, eBay produces 2 small differences which damage the design. Its a very simple table design... but I damn dont know where to fix that! ( And I want to use it for another over 300 items... ) For example one item on eBay: 220545652548 ( just paste the nr on eBay... ) ( theres 1 thin line like hr above and a small white space between the table rows at the bottom... ) And the same item as the preview shows it: http://www.webck.de/preview.html ( That's how I want it to look like... ) Maybe there's someone who can help me out... that would be nice. Thanks a lot!!! Christian |
